Chenglong,

I checked the preload data file under __var, it is up-to-date. So my conclusion
is that the script did put the correct preload data into SDNC. That’s good.

Now I suspect that somehow the request from SO to SDNC for preloading vGW
somehow got old data, which was loaded into SDNC weeks ago and is still staying
there. This should not happen since all the name suffix should match.

Can you dump all the preloading data currently stored in SDNC and we can take a
look?

1. Access :8282/apidoc/explorer/index.html

2. Click on VNF-API
Now find the GET method for preload data and click “submit” to retrieve the
data. Send me a copy.

After that, you can delete all the preload data from SDNC and retry “vcpe.py
customer”

Kang

That’s strange. When running ‘vcpe.py infra’, the script creates all the stacks
and then at the end of the instantiation writes the instance information into
files under directory called __var. Later when ‘vcpe.py customer’ is executed,
the scripts reads the related info including the network name from the files
under __var and then use them for preloading.

Based on the above process, I suspect that __var/preload_dict holds old
information vcpe_net_mux_gw_201807160624. Can you open that file and check if
it is the case?

I don’t know what might have caused this but you could delete everything under
__var and __tmp and then delete all the stacks and rerun ‘vcpe.py infra’ to try
again. Note that normally deleting files under __var and __tmp is not needed as
the files are overwritten each time running ‘vcpe.py infra’.

Hi, Kang, Brian:
Today, first we delete origin stacks about vcpe use case that include vnf
and network and instance. And then, we create a new vcpe use case again,
running vcpe.py infra success, vbrg instance’ vppctl is also ok, and DCHP_MAP
table had the mac_addr and ip_addr value, and new network name suffix is
201808010242,
 like
vcpe_net_mux_gw_201808010242,

vcpe_net_cpe_signal_201808010242,

vcpe_net_cpe_public_201808010242
 and so on.
So, we create vgw instance again, and we according to a new error:
 "statusMessage": "Received vfModuleException from VnfAdapter:
category='INTERNAL' message='Exception during create VF 400 Bad Request: The
server could not comply with the request since it is either malformed or
otherwise incorrect., error.type=StackValidationFailed, error.message=Property

The value vcpe_net_mux_gw_201807160624 is in our origin vcpe use case network
stack that created about 15 days ago.

And please help us to resolve this issue and tell us about this reason.

[onap-discuss] AAI query API documentation with examples #aai

2018-08-02 Thread Keong Lim
Hi Jimmy and Harish,

I am trying to find a complete and detailed documentation of the AAI query API,
preferably with examples of usage and responses. The dev teams are struggling
with writing queries for the new proposed schema elements.

The simple forms shown in the generated HTML/YAML files have the "GET" URLs
with some specific named request parameters (e.g. GET
/some/thing?who=first=second) , but I think there are about 3 or 4 other
ways to query that are more sophisticated than this, especially for following
the graph relationships. I assume there is a way to pass in Gremlin query
strings, but what is the translation from URL-encoded query parameters to the
internal Gremlin query code?

The two best snippets I can find appear to be in these "Consumed APIs" pages:

-
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/holmes/rule-management.git/docs/platform/consumedapis.html?highlight=consumed%20apis
-
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/vid.git/docs/consumedapis.html?highlight=consumed%20apis

The generated HTML/YAML files do not appear to include anything with a /search
URL or /query URL or the expected contents of the "format" query parameter.

Could you please point me to more comprehensive documentation of AAI queries or
another generated document (Swagger or otherwise)?

Thanks,
Keong

[onap-discuss] [dcae][holmes] Request for k8s-plugin Docs or Guidance

2018-08-02 Thread Guangrong Fu
Greetings Vijay,

I'm writing to ask for some guidance or documents on dcae-k8s-plugin. We
intended to deploy Holmes using this tool, but obviously, it's not finished
in R2.

Would you please direct us to the existing wiki pages on this or would you
please share something with us via email? The information we need most at
the moment is an introduction on how to develop the configuration file for
the plugin and how to deploy/debug our configuration files.

Thanks a ton in advance.

Regards,

Guangrong

Re: [onap-discuss] [SO] Committer's enforcing ONAP Code Standards?

2018-08-02 Thread Pamela Dragosh
Marcus,

I am on board with this. I understand folks think its tedious, but having clean
well-formatted code really helps with the reviewers.

I have been asking anyone who wants to get started to contribute for Policy to
start with sonar and checkstyle issues. They are an easy way to get familiar
not only with the codebase, but also ONAP code review process. I have had some
folks perform awesome with this, while others faded.

One thing I would like to share is that for my project, we agreed as committers
that we are going to require going forward that any code submission be preceded
or followed by checkstyle fixes. That is, if they are changing a file, then
they must submit it first with formatting done. Then submit the change they
trying to introduce. Or vice versa fixing any newly introduced sonar problems.
Sometimes they can be done in the submission itself, but we found as reviewers
that it was too difficult to sort out the actual changes vs checkstyle
formatting. We shall see how that goes.

I don’t think we should force any requirements right now. We have too much a
burden with the workload that we have and laying down more requirements as a
release goes along tends to upset us PTL’s. But perhaps over the next few
releases we can buckle down on checkstyle, sonar and Junit code coverage. These
things take time both doing them and reviewing them.

Thanks,

Pam Dragosh

Subject: [onap-discuss] [SO] Committer's enforcing ONAP Code Standards?

Hi SO Committers, PTL and community,

I think we have an opportunity to be an earlier adopter in the community. I’d
like to propose that we work on conforming our codebase to ONAP code standards:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Java+code+style

Generally this entails 4 spaces in place of tabs, 120 character line limit and
google style guidelines, which largely follow generally accepted Java Style.

Our codebase does not currently conform to these standards. Further some of the
style issues result in a very large amount of warnings in build logs (last time
I counted it was 10s of thousands), which increase build time and space used by
Jenkins/LF for each build.

We should also make sure we don’t have extraneous spaces (gerrit highlights
those in red and having them in open source code is generally frowned upon by
any self-respecting open source engineer).

Does anyone have any problem with working to make the code conform to style
guidelines? Can we agree to -1 changes that do not conform until the submitter
conforms the patch to style guidelines?

As a corollary I’d suggest we enforce commit message guidelines as well:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Commit+Messages

Re: [onap-discuss] [APPC]: DGBuilder UI error

Hi Chandrashekhar,

There are several options you can do are:

1, use clipboard for that DG then view in DG Builder GUI
2, configure your local git repo which contains all those DG json files. I
believe there are a setting GUI in DG builder
3, check mysql, there is a table called SVC_LOGIC. Those DG should be preloaded
in that table then make sure the connection is working between DG builder GUI
and mysql.

Hope that helps

Hi,

There is no support in R2 to onboard or deploy containerized VNFs. We have
started some initial work in R3 (run time aspects of deploying VNFs - VM or
container - using K8S) and intend to have end-to-end (including onboarding)
support in R4.

You can find more information here:

Hi,

I need some help for container based VNF on K8S using Beijing release. It is
not quite clear to me what Beijing can do for K8S VNF onboarding. It seems
that Beijing release can not deploy the container based VNF on K8S yet. But it

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] vgw_private_1_port IP address already allocated

2018-08-02 Thread Kang Xi

And then, we create a new vcpe use case again,
running vcpe.py infra success, vbrg instance’ vppctl is also ok, and DCHP_MAP
table had the mac_addr and ip_addr value, and new network name suffix is
201808010242,

vcpe_net_cpe_signal_201808010242,

vcpe_net_cpe_public_201808010242
 and so on.
So, we create vgw instance again, and we according to a new error:
 "statusMessage": "Received vfModuleException from VnfAdapter:
category='INTERNAL' message='Exception during create VF 400 Bad Request: The
server could not comply with the request since it is either malformed or

The value vcpe_net_mux_gw_201807160624 is in our origin vcpe use case network

And please help us to resolve this issue and tell us about this reason.

[onap-discuss] OOM k8s Beijing/2.0.0-ONAP Helm build fails for nodeSelector attribute in values.yaml

2018-08-02 Thread Vivekanandan Muthukrishnan
Hi All,

We need some help regarding *nodeSelector* attribute definition in ONAP OOM
kubernetes values.yaml file.

When we included the nodeSelector attribute, the Helm package make failed.

*Here is what we did.*

1) Created 2 node Rancher + Kubernetes cluster

2) Created the following labels

$ kubectl get nodes
NAMESTATUSROLES AGE VERSION
beijing01 Ready 2hv1.8.10-rancher1
beijing02 Ready 1hv1.8.10-rancher1

# Define a label for each node
$ kubectl label nodes beijing01 nodeName=beijing01
node "beijing01" labeled

$ kubectl label nodes beijing02 nodeName=beijing02
node "beijing02" labeled

3) Then updated the oom/kubernetes/common/mongo/values.yaml (Kindly refer
the attached file)

 nodeSelector:
nodeName: beijing01

4) Helm package make command failed with the below error

==> Linting mongo
[INFO] Chart.yaml: icon is recommended
[ERROR] templates/statefulset.yaml: unable to parse YAML
error converting YAML to JSON: yaml: line 55: did not find
expected '-' indicator

make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/test/oom/kubernetes'
Makefile:35: recipe for target 'common' failed
make: *** [common] Error 2

5) The build works when we give the default value.

 nodeSelector: {}

Note :-
   # You can pull the OOM sources using the below command
   $ git clone https://gerrit.onap.org/r/oom -b 2.0.0-ONAP

   # To verify the YAML & tempaltes files you can go to the
following folder
   $ cd oom/kubernetes/common/mongo

Could some one help us to define the *nodeSelector* attribute would be
great.

Thanks & Regards
Vivek

MSB, Multicloud and VFC have been tested with Istio mutual TLS Authentication
enabled. You can simply follow this wiki page to try it yourself:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Manage+ONAP+Microservices+with+Istio+Service+Mesh-Mutual+TLS+Authentication+Enabled

For the next step, we will experiment Istio RBAC for ONAP inter-services
authorization, and provide a user-friendly Istio UI to manage Istio rules and
policies. Join our weekly project
meeting if you're
interested.

It seems like you do not implement TLS quite yet, is that correct?

Also, I don't see use of VirtualService quite yet. Installing Istio is indeed
the easy part, but our challenge would be to map out the complicated
internetworking between all of ONAP's pods, so that if someone would want to
control routing (circuit breaking, etc.) they would have a template from which
to start.

Dear ONAPer,

In Casablanca release, MSB project is integrating Istio Service Mesh with ONAP
to manage ONAP microservices. Istio Service Mesh is a dedicated infrastructure
layer to connect, manage and secure microservices, which brings the below

  * Stability and Reliability: Reliable communication with retries and
circuit breaker
  * Security: Secured communication with TLS
  * Performance: Latency aware load balancing with warm cache
  * Observability: Metrics measurement and distributed tracing without
instrumenting application
  * Manageability: Routing rule and rate limiting enforcement
  * Testability: Fault injection to test resilience of the services
If you are interested, you can now try it out by following this tutorial on the
wiki:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Manage+ONAP+Microservices+with+Istio+Service+Mesh

Note: MSB project is working with VF-C and MultiCloud as pilot projects in

after verifying the integration and Istio features.

[onap-discuss][sdc] Deployment of SDC

2018-08-02 Thread Satyaki Mallick
Hi,

Recently I was setting up sdc in a fresh with the latest code available on
Gerrit, and creating dockers from the code using the command - *mvn clean
install -P docker*

I was able to build all the docker images and successfully created 5
containers, sdc BE, sdc FE, sdc ES, sdc CS and sdc-onboard-backend

For accessing the UI,I ran the docker_run.sh script with -d switch. (-d
sdc-sim), which starts the simulator. I did this after creating all other
docker containers.

Inspite of all the dockers being up, the UI page was unresponsive.

On opening the localhost:8285/login url, I was given with default simulator
page with different login levels. On clicking Designer login, the page
loads, and ultimately ends in a white blank page..

My presumption is the simulator is not able to communicate with other
components.. I was not facing this issue before..

Is anybody else facing this issue ..? Is there a new simulator script..? I
will be glad someone can throw light upon this ..

Hi Satyaki,

I faced similar issue. Actually sdc-config-be job will take care of importing
normative types to sdc-be. But in my case it was not happening.

So I tried the following steps:

  * Clone "https://git.onap.org/sdc; into the machine where you can access
the sdc-be.
  *   Change to the directory
"sdc/catalog-be/src/main/resources/scripts/import/tosca/"
  * If it is heat based deployment run "python importNormativeAll.py -i
 -p 8080"
  * If it is OOM based deployment run "python importNormativeAll.py -i
 -p 30205"

This hack solved my issue.

Hello,

For importing the data-types and normative-types, we need to run the python
scripts present inside BE docker.

But recently, the BE docker container is not generating pre-installed with
Python.

We also weren't very much successful in installing Python inside the docker..

A look into the Dockerfile didn't help much

Can somebody point out where are things going wrong ..? We have been stuck up
in this for quite a while now ..

Thank You,
Satyaki Mallick

Re: [onap-discuss] Understanding Daemonset in ONAP

2018-08-02 Thread Michael O'Brien
Alexander,
Hi, sounds good. I have some time later today (pomba at 8, tsc at 10,
acumos at 1130 - free at 1400 GMT-4 today, more free friday.
Shishir and his team(Sanjay, Spondon, Lorraine, Jun, Dave) at AT have been
instrumental over the last 6 months in finalizing the logging spec, getting the
EPICs up to date/defined and pushing the overall project - along with our
collaboration in Acumos around logging.

Expanding to the list as usual for the rest of the team.
We can use my zoom http://zoom.us/j/7939937123 at 2 pm

The refactoring of the filebeat sidecar container approach to use a
daemonSet per cluster VM needs to be evaluated as part of the Casablanca scope
- it is #9 on the list
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Logging+Casablanca+Scope
There is a story off the S3P epic
https://jira.onap.org/browse/LOG-380
for a per VM Filebeat DaemonSet - that you can use for your work.
https://jira.onap.org/browse/LOG-587
Keep documentation/experimentation notes on the jira or the DI section of the
wiki
https://wiki.onap.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=28378955#ONAPApplicationLoggingSpecificationv1.2(Casablanca)-DI8:LOG-587:RefactoringfilebeattorunasaperVMDaemonSetdeployment

Logstash is already a DaemonSet - you can use that as the deployment part of
the example (small change) - the larger piece will be to point filebeat to a
subset of the emptyDir PV directory or target individual pod PVs on that VM for
log shipping.
for example you will need to correlate the PV UUID on the VM with the
kubernetes deployment pod id to map the correct pod to it's emptyDir pv - or
just push everything appearing in the kubelet dir.
I am hoping that a switch of the service to a DaemonSet - a one line change and
blind pushing of all or a subset (minus the kubernetes/rancher/Grafana pods) of
the volumes/kubernetes.io~empty-dir would be sufficient.

Example of where logs are put for the emptyDir PV
ubuntu@ip-172-31-55-235:~/_dev/20180712-log-137/oom/kubernetes$ sudo ls
/var/lib/kubelet/pods/b3f9e7bc-8d79-11e8-969d-02a1d5a57c25/volumes/kubernetes.io~empty-dir/onap-logdemonode-logs/logdemonode/node
 -la
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root0 Jul 22 06:37 audit.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 548 Jul 22 07:01 debug.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root0 Jul 22 06:37 error.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root0 Jul 22 06:37 metrics.log

You can use the RI logdemo pod 30258 port - to exercise the ELK+filebeat stack
without running the rest of onap - as long as you deploy on a cluster with at
least 2 nodes and modify the logdemo deployment to also be a daemonset
(currently a single line change)
https://git.onap.org/logging-analytics/tree/reference/logging-kubernetes
documented on
https://wiki.onap.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=28378955#ONAPApplicationLoggingSpecificationv1.2(Casablanca)-DeveloperGuide

If you need help with setting up a cluster you can use either the
procedures/scripts in readthedocs
http://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/oom.git/docs/oom_setup_kubernetes_rancher.html
for openstack, I use an AWS cluster so if you need a cloud native cluster
like on AWS use the wiki and code below
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Cloud+Native+Deployment#CloudNativeDeployment-ClusteredDeployment
https://git.onap.org/logging-analytics/tree/deploy/aws
undercloud agnostic setup
https://git.onap.org/logging-analytics/tree/deploy/rancher/oom_rancher_setup.sh

thank you

Subject: Understanding Daemonset in ONAP

Hello Michael,

My name is Alex Gentile and I am an intern at AT working with Shishir on
logging in ONAP. My project is about deploying Filebeat as a Daemonset to
collect logs from containers rather than having Filebeat containers wrapped up
with pods. Due to time constraints, I will be testing my architecture using
existing Logstash pods deployed as a Daemonset as part of ONAP. I was hoping I
could speak to you sometime tomorrow, 8/2, to briefly discuss the
implementation of these Daemonsets so I might have a better understanding of
how they work.

The last day of my internship is next Friday 8/10 so I have very limited time
left to conduct my analysis. I am available any time tomorrow, so we can talk
any time that is best for you.

Thank you,
Alex Gentile

Subject: [onap-discuss] [oom] OOM container restarts

Hi PTLs,

We have started to log the number of container restarts in OOM daily deployment
tests:

http://onapci.org/grafana/d/kRvfoqKmz/oom-container-restarts?orgId=1

Please review for your respective projects and see if your containers appear in
these charts.

A restart count > 0 means that your container got killed by Kubernetes while it
was initializing. If your docker container has a non-zero restart count, this
means that the liveness probe configuration for your respective helm charts
need to be fixed so that Kubernetes doesn’t kill your containers during a slow
startup.

Our goal for Casablanca is to have zero restarts for all ONAP containers. If
you don’t know what a k8s liveness probe is or what to do about it, please
contact me or the OOM team for assistance.

Thanks,
Gary

[onap-discuss] [SO] TOSCA/BPMN POC

2018-08-02 Thread Steve Smokowski
Tosca Integration POC details we had discussed on the SO call.

Maven project path: bpmn/so-bpmn-building blocks

These particular bpmns were attempted to be designed in mind around TOSCA
Orchestrator integrating. We envisioned them being called based on operations
on TOSCA nodes, without attempting to change our current CSAR structure. I
think it would be interesting to see if the current POC can invoke them as a
subprocess. The easiest being AssignServiceInstanceBB.bpmn, this one in
essence sets up service instance data within A and SDNC for later
orchestration. The input would look like this json below

Istio Mutual TLS Authentication Enabled //Re: [onap-discuss] [MSB] [Istio] Try Out Managing ONAP Microservices with Istio Service Mesh

2018-08-02 Thread Huabing Zhao
MSB, Multicloud and VFC have been tested with Istio
mutual TLS Authentication enabled. You can simply follow this wiki
page to try it yourself:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Manage+ONAP+Microservices+with+Istio+Service+Mesh-Mutual+TLS+Authentication+Enabled

For the next step, we will experiment Istio RBAC
for ONAP inter-services authorization,
and provide a user-friendly Istio UI to manage Istio rules and policies. Join
our weekly project meeting

[onap-discuss] 答复: Data Model Interest Group agenda for 2018-07-30 #modeling

2018-08-02 Thread maopeng
Hi Anatoly

I attended the meeting, which is great for SDC service introdution and DM
discussion.

For NS IM in etsi, please refer to
https://docbox.etsi.org/ISG/NFV/Open/Publications_pdf/Specs-Reports/NFV-IFA%20014v2.4.1%20-%20GS%20-%20Network%20Service%20Templates%20Spec.pdf

For NS DM in etsi, it is in discusing, refer to
https://docbox.etsi.org/ISG/NFV/Open/Drafts/SOL001_TOSCA_desc/NFV-SOL001v090.zip

If SDC data model can support NS, it will be greatful, especially NSDF,
VNFFG,etc feature in the future cases, which is more related to the resource
layer model.

Product, service, resource concepts mainly come from TMF. TMF regards the
ETSI NS as resource composite.

If ONAP supposes to support service, please consider what service we want,
resource composite or TMF service.

If I am wrong, please correct me.

I also put my ideas in the wiki:

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Data+Model+Interest+Group+2018-07-30+Meeting+Minutes

NS DM as a requirement is passed in model meeting.

NS IM has been in the clean page.

NFVO need the NS as data model, hope to get some consensus.

If more issued needs to discuss, please comment on the wiki.

   https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/ZTE+Proposal+for+Network+Service+Descriptor

   Thanks

Hi Anatoly

Thanks Anatoly.

Here are some contexts, which will help the discussion.

1.SDO progresses:

1.1 TMF support service and resource, and also in resource layer, there
is resource composite. and Network service from ETSI has been mapping to the
resource composite

please refer to TMF document:
tr255-resource-function-activation-and-configuration-suite-r17-5-0

1.2 3GPP management system support to integrate with ETSI MANO system.

1.3 ETSI SOL001 has the draft of NS data model and Information model

 2.model subcommittee progress:

Network service is agreed in resource IM group. Networkservice IM
Network service Descriptor has been discussed in DM group. Networkservice DM

3. Service providers are interested in ETSI NS.

4. VFC project impliments NFVO and needs NS template

My work aims to support the following:

主 题 :Data Model Interest Group agenda for 2018-07-30 #modeling

Dear modelers,

Last time we met, Maopeng Zhang of ZTE presented a set of requirements for the
networking service model.

Today on our weekly call
(https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Data+Model+Interest+Group+2018-07-30+Meeting+Minutes),
I will present an initial proposal for the internal ONAP data model of
service, and then we all will examine whether it stands the requirements. In
addition, we will start a discussion on the internal ONAP data model of PNF.

See you there,

Anatoly Katzman

Xue,
Hi, good question - you have 4 options (unchanged, do your own code
changes/library, use the SLF4J library from Luke (includes MDC/Marker support)
or use the AOP (WIP) wrapper on the SLF4J library - it uses aspects to (so-far)
add ENTRY/EXIT marker (labelled) logs for each function call in scope.

Using the library is optional - the goal is to reduce the amount of work teams
need to do to adhere to the new MDC/Marker specification for Casablanca. The
example RI below is a reference of how to use the library and a place for the
logging team to exercise every MDC and test transactions without having to rely
on real ONAP components - its own integration test suite.

There are developer details on using the libraries (pom.xml edits, spring
AOP additions) and how to deploy the logdemo pod alongside onap that demos
using the libraries

The code is ready for use as we finish the library (java is most up to date
for now, python is in progress)

Hello Obrien,

>From the wiki page of ONAP Application Logging Specification v1.2, I have seen
>the source code for org.onap.logging-analytics:logging-analytics project.

May I ask, are we suppose to use that project as the logging framework, or it
is just an example and each component can create their own way of logging. Also
is there a plan to create a standard library, so that all ONAP components can
just use it?

Kr,

Xue

[onap-discuss] Build issues on dcaegen2 at windows system by cmd #dcaegen2

2018-08-02 Thread Parmesh Bhadauriya
Hi ONAP Team,

I am not able to build dcaegen2 module at windows as I took 2 approaches but
got errors -

*Approach 1:-* I was trying to build dcaegen2 module at windows by cmd and got
error stats

*"* [ERROR] Failed to execute goal
org.codehaus.mojo:exec-maven-plugin:1.2.1:exec (clean phase script) on project

tics\mvn-phase-script.sh" (in directory "D:\root\dcaegen2\analytics"):
CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified *"
*
Approach 2:- here I had use git bash for building dcaegen2 module but there is
shell script file " mvn-phase-script.sh" in every pom.xml which takes dynamic
paths from directory at windows systems and got error stats -
$ mvn clean install -U -DskipTests=true -Dmaven.test.skip=true

[onap-discuss] #aai

2018-08-02 Thread Rahul Wadodkar
Hi,
we are looking to integrate EMS with DCAE for Fault and performance, however we
are also getting Inventory and configuration from EMS. is there any standard
collector that we can use to read the configuration data and put it in A?
