Re: [E][onap-discuss][SDNC][AAI][SO] SDNC unable to get cloud region info from AAI when creating node instance in SO

2018-10-25 Thread Gopigiri, Sirisha via Lists.Onap.Org
Hi Brian,

Thank you for the reply. Yes the actual URL I am using is
/aai/v11/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/CloudOwner/RegionOne/tenants/tenant
with
cloudregion and cloudowner values replaced for quering AAI and I am able to
get the tenant details.

But SDNC is unable to get the cloud region details and failing with 500
exception.

[onap-discuss] [OOM] Redeploy without affecting other components

2018-10-25 Thread Ying, Ruoyu
Hi all,

Is there a way to redeploy a single component while not affecting
others(including upgrade)?
I know before we can first purge certain component with command 'kubectl delete
- - purge ' then set 'true' in the integration-override.yaml
file for only one component. So that it will redeploy the certain component.
However, while using the newest version of OOM, I found these method won't
work. You have to enable all components in the integration-override.yaml, so
that other components won't be deleted. But sometimes, I really don't want to
upgrade the others.
Is there a way to do so?
Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,
Ruoyu

Hi,

as discussed with Mike Mokry and Pamela Dragosh in biweekly Policy community
meeting (24th Oct), a detailed example of the steps and commands required to
remove a policy completely via PDP API could be useful in documentation. What I
gathered from the discussion was that this should be possible by two
consecutive remove commands for the policy where the first one removes it from
PDP group and second one completely, but I couldn't figure out the required
details for the second command from any documents I found,

br,

Lasse

2018-10-25 Thread Kiran Kamineni
It looked like dockerd was messed up. I was not able to restart the rancher
server. In fact it said that no such container existed.

I had no choice but to restart docker itself. Everything seems to be working
now.

I tried the following commands:

kubectl version
helm ls
kubectl -n onap get pods

and they all are working fine.

Thanks,

Hi Itohan,

I have also faced this issue when installing ONAP recently.

The problem comes from the fact that there is no service account for the Tiller
service.

To solve this issue, you just need to create a Kubernetes service account for
Tiller and init helm. See the command bellow
$kubectl --namespace kube-system create serviceaccount tiller
$kubectl create clusterrolebinding tiller --clusterrole cluster-admin
--serviceaccount=kube-system:tiller
$helm init --service-account tiller --upgrade

Steve

Looks like there is an issue with connecting to k8s master node. This may have
to do with ~/.kube/config. This file should have the correct ip address, tcp

If the issue is Tiller, usually deleting and recreating the Tiller pod resolves

Do “kubectl delete pod -n ” then “helm init

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your response. Apologies for the delay, I was trying to deploy a new
OOM instance but I have run into the same tiller issue. I am using the deploy
script in the integration repo according to the instructions in this link;
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/OOM+Component. It creates a cluster of 13
nodes. I am running this instance on integration-SB-06 and from the earlier
results of kubectl (before tiller failed). The cluster is not saturated.
The IP of the VMs in both cases is static and did not change.
Yes the helm init –upgrade was run. The rancher_vm_entrypoint.sh script run by
the deploy script in integration shows that the token was displayed first.
The OOM install completed and showed passed robot test cases before tiller
failed. I cannot run any kubectl commands, when I try to run these commands, I
get the following error;

The connection to the server 10.12.5.195:8080 was refused - did you specify the
right host or port?

Yes in getting the system setup and hosts attached, the commands here
https://git.onap.org/logging-analytics/tree/deploy/rancher/oom_rancher_setup.sh#n209
 were run.
I am currently trying to readd hosts according to this
https://git.onap.org/logging-analytics/tree/deploy/rancher/oom_rancher_setup.sh#n162

This problem is still a blocking issue for my testing HPA integration testing.

Thanks,
Itohan

working this out if the out of the box k8s config is sufficient for all
cloud-native deployments. On some systems the cluster may degrade over a
couple days to a month – I have systems with 1500+ k8s container restarts that
are ok after 3 weeks but on some clouds the cluster degrades faster – again the
tool needs to be optimized fully.

How many servers in your cluster? I ask this because you either can run 1
co-located master/cluster or 3+ nodes for etcd stability – unless you need to
test actual failover – likely you are running multiple hosts or you would need
the –max-pods=500 additional kubelet commands fix to go over 110.
Is your cluster saturated – try to run with under 70% ram allocation – for
example onap currently needs 160g – so you would need 220+G for a system that
can reschedule pods to the remaining nodes based on a node failure.

I would recommend several kubectl commands to triage your system – but if
tiller is down then you won’t be able to do these
Start with your
  ~/.kube/config
If you are using root as well as your ubuntu? Non-root user – you would need to
add these in both of your profiles on the master.
Before this though – verify that the correct IP is being used when you
registered your system either using the script or the “add host” button in the
rancher gui.

Hi Itohan,

It seems like your Kubernetes cluster doesn't work properly.

What do you have when running a simple $kubectl version

If the output shows an error with server(Again, if), it means that you need to
properly configure your kubernetes config (in ~/.kube/config) OR it could be
simple a problem of right(Make sure to run kubectl command with the user attach
to your cluster config?

Thanks Steve. Is it possible to run these commands without doing a new install
or does this have to be integrated into the ONAP install. I ask because when I
try to run the first command, I see the same kubectl error (The connection to

Hi Itohan,

I have also faced this issue when installing ONAP recently.

The problem comes from the fact that there is no service account for the Tiller
service.

To solve this issue, you just need to create a Kubernetes service account for
Tiller and init helm. See the command bellow
$kubectl --namespace kube-system create serviceaccount tiller
$kubectl create clusterrolebinding tiller --clusterrole cluster-admin
--serviceaccount=kube-system:tiller
$helm init --service-account tiller --upgrade

[onap-discuss] Plan towards agreeing on Dublin scope

2018-10-25 Thread Alla Goldner
Hi all,

During today's TSC meeting we discussed Dublin's Roadmap and agreed on the
following:

1. Nov 1st - is the last day for Service Providers requirements for
Dublin https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/SP+priorities+for+Dublin

I will consolidate all information already provided by additional SP into this
page (beginning of the next week)

2. Nov 15th - is the last day for providing use case/functional
requirements as a candidates for Dublin

3. Nov 29th - is the last day for getting all of the requirements
(architecture, security, projects, S3P etc.) and getting a single consolidated
list so all of the projects have full picture of what is required from them. By
this date, all use cases/functional requirements need to be discussed with a
different projects, and demanded scope of development should be clear to the
projects

4. Vf2f in December - making a decision of what is indeed included in
Dublin, based on Service providers priorities and projects' commitments

Best regards,

Alla Goldner

[onap-discuss] Debugging Gerrit reported downtimes

2018-10-25 Thread Jessica Wagantall
Dear ONAP team.

We noticed some slow downs today while trying to clone from gerrit.onap.org.
Our infra team was helping us debugging these and noticed a large amount of
fetches a day over https done from IP 71.205.221.97 (400k fetches a day).
This seems to be a Comcast IP.

I wanted to check around and see if anyone can help me locate the source of
these
requests that seem to be causing some slow downs.

If these tasks are really needed, we can always work something out like
allowing
for more parallel requests which I would need to check with the infra team
if this is something
we could possibly do. Also, we can see if these pulls can rather be done
using some
local cache rather.

Thanks so much for your help!
Jess

Correction – the policy distribution application has 2 endpoints. One for
HealthCheck that will need https, and the other I mentioned is the SDC Client
SDK that will need to support https.

Amy – the policy distribution application uses the SDC Client SDK for http
communication via dmaap. It will be up to that project to support https, not
policy project.

Our other component is not MVP to this release and will have https for Dublin.

Responding on behalf of Pam D., Policy PTL, that is currently on vacations.

https is supported across all policy components with the exception of the new
ones introduced in Casablanca release (apex-pdp, policy-distribution).

I learned that sndc will be installed if the sniro component is also installed.
I tried again today after updating the master branching and reinstalling the
helm deploy plugin, but sdnc wasn't installed if sniro was disabled. It was
installed, though, when sniro was enabled.

/aai/v11/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region///tenants/tenant

But when I am trying to create from VID to the service
created, SDNC is unable to get Cloud information from AAI and failing with
"Cloud Region not found in AAI" 500 error. I am using the default subscriber
Demonstration. I could see no error logs in AAI.

Is there any other configuration that needs to be done in SDNC or AAI?

Hi,

It looks like DCAE hasn't finished deployment of your service.

I assume you're using DCAE_blueprint with TCA.

Most probably it's because cloudify hasn't yet finished downloading TCA docker
image.

This image is quite large so clamp timeout may be shorter than it takes to
download it.

Please check if image is being downloaded on your VM.

Re: [onap-discuss] [clamp] ClossedLoop deployment failure

2018-10-25 Thread Krysiak, Adam (Nokia - PL/Wroclaw)

Please check if image is being downloaded on your VM.

investigated, found the following error description in the CLAMP logs.

I’ve attached logs for reference. Any suggestions please. Your help much

Hi Yang,

I found the problem. In this line

we are appending "/v2.0/tenants" to the base url which also contains "/v2.0",
so at the end it sends the request to '/v2.0/v2.0/tenants' to openstack . This
creating the issue. So I modified the code from multicloud-windriver pod. Then
it worked. Do we need to change this in upstream code?

Hi Bharath,

I didn’t see any issue from your registration. The only
difference is that I register the vim with keystone v3 endpoint, while you are
using the v2.0

I guess we need more debugging exercises:

Exercise 1, test the multicloud service with following curl commands

   export NODE_IP=

export MC_EP_PORT=30294

export MSB_PORT=30280

export
MC_EPv0=http://$NODE_IP:MSB_PORT/api/multicloud/v0/pod25_regionOne

curl -v -s -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST -d '{}'
$MC_EPv0/identity/v2.0/tokens

export TOKEN=

curl -v -s -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "X-Auth-Token: $TOKEN" -X GET
 $MC_EPv0/tenants

If exercise 1 does not work well with the tenants API, please dump the log with
exercise 2 as below:

exercise 2, dump the debug output from multicloud service

step 1: dump debug output

   root@onap-oom-rancher:~# kubectl -n onap get pods |grep
multicloud-windriver

dev-multicloud-multicloud-windriver-b5f9b7d5b-27z4l 2/2 Running
  0 22h

root@onap-oom-rancher:~# kubectl -n onap exec -it
dev-multicloud-multicloud-windriver-b5f9b7d5b-27z4l bash

   Defaulting container name to multicloud-windriver.

Use 'kubectl describe pod/dev-multicloud-multicloud-windriver-b5f9b7d5b-27z4l'
to see all of the containers in this pod.

root@dev-multicloud-multicloud-windriver-b5f9b7d5b-27z4l:/opt/windriver# tail
-f /var/log/onap/multicloud/openstack/windriver/titanium_cloud.log

step 2: issue the requests in exercise 1, observe and capture
the debug output, send it back to me.

Thanks

[onap-discuss][uui][so] Problem in Creating Service from UUI

2018-10-25 Thread Jothi, Shobana via Lists.Onap.Org
Dear All,
I am trying to create the Service instance from UUI for volte package. Was
successful in populating the VF-C catalog. But when I create the instace
from UUI, I get "500 Internal Server Error, SO Instance is not available".
Attaching the error logs from SO container. Please provide your input on
this.

I tried with curl command to SO to create the service. Got the following
error.

{"serviceException":{"messageId":"SVC2000","text":"Request Failed due to
BPEL error with HTTP Status= %1 \nError occurred while executing the
process: org.camunda.connect.ConnectorRequestException: HTCL-02007 Unable
to execute HTTP request","variables":["502"]}}

Regards,
Shobana Jothi

[E][onap-discuss][SO] Multi cloud support SO

2018-10-25 Thread Gopigiri, Sirisha via Lists.Onap.Org
Hi

According to SO Casablanca release docs, I could see that SO supports
multicloud. Can you please let me know if the support is enabled by default
or is there any other configuration to be done to enable the support. Also
could you point me to the document for this.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards
Sirisha Gopigiri
