Re: [Openvas-discuss] OpenVAS Sourcefire Integration
Hi, On Mittwoch, 10. Oktober 2012, Ricky Melgares wrote: Has anyone gotten the OpenVAS Sourcefire escalator/connector to work in the wild? I've tried configuring the connector under three different fresh installs (Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS), and even on the demo appliance, and am always presented with a 500 internal error (screenshot attached) when testing the escalator. I have tried specifying both the hostname and IP addresses of the SourceFire Defense center, and have verified that the default port used (8307) is open on the DC. Any ideas? Is this a known issue? The logs aren't being particularly useful: we have been able to connect with Sourcefire Defense Centers 4 and 5. Which one are you using? IIRC, Sourcefire changed the licensing with 5.1 where you need to activate the interface explicitly via a license key. The error messages on the defense center don't give a helpful clue. You should check first the logs of the DC to see whether OpenVAS contacted the DC at all. Which version of the sourcefire plugin for OpenVAS are you using? Re: [Openvas-discuss] Config is in use
Empty the trahscan before I created a new config helpednot sure if it should be this way but it works. When can the bugfix be expected? Yes I understand, and can reproduce with a bit of effort. Should work in r14163. Backported to stable in r14165 so it'll be in the next release. [Openvas-discuss] openvasmd authentication configuration could not be loaded
Hello, I have openvas5 successfully compiled and running on BT5r3 (which was pleasant). After creating a user, and then verifying that sd, md, ad and gsad are all running (and openvas-check-setup shows no errors), when I try to log into gsad with the credentials I added I get the following in the openvasmd.log: Authentication configuration could not be loaded. And the gsad authentication page just hangs with no error info. I have read previous threads with similar issues where downgrading libgnutls solved the problem. I have not tried this yet, and frankly am not looking forward to it. Is there any other data I can check at this point or am I relegated to downgrading that package? Thank you. ___ Openvas-discuss mailing list Openvas-discuss@wald.intevation.org http://lists.wald.intevation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openvas-discuss
Re: [Openvas-discuss] openvasmd authentication configuration could not be loaded
I'm also stuck with the same problem. I am running it on ubuntu precise, which I'm thinking is what BT%r3 is built on (or one of the versions of ubuntu anyway) I actually tried downgrading, didn't really help, and the openvasmd.log aren't enough to troubleshoot the problem bb.boogie wrote: Hello, I have openvas5 successfully compiled and running on BT5r3 (which was pleasant).
