IIRC the best thing what you can do here is to report that to Atomic
which are providing the packages. In this case someone already did that:

http://forums.atomicorp.com/viewtopic.php?f=31=8471

sorry, the initial assumption to report that to atomic was wrong.

It seems your system is running an outdated sqlite version not
supporting this "sqlite3_errstr". The OpenVAS manager was updated to use
sqlite3_errmsg instead of sqlite3_errstr to keep compatibility with
older libsqlite versions in the following commit

it was not wrong

when atomic is running a repo for RHEL6 they need to make sure that teir
packages are running on RHEL6 and pull needed dependencies and if they
don't exist at all then their build system is fucked up as well as their
QA is proven not existent

they manage even build openvas-packages which are not comatible to each
other because of missing symbols and nonody knows why they have a
testing repo when such broken stuff makes it to the stable one

sorry, the initial assumption to report that to atomic was wrong.

It seems your system is running an outdated sqlite version not
supporting this "sqlite3_errstr". The OpenVAS manager was updated to use
sqlite3_errmsg instead of sqlite3_errstr to keep compatibility with
older libsqlite versions in the following commit:

https://lists.wald.intevation.org/pipermail/openvas-commits/2016-September/026276.html

For now you can do one of the following:

- Downgrade to openvas-manager 6.0.8
- Wait for the next release of openvas-manager
- Upgrade your operating system so it ships a recent version of libsqlite
- Build openvas-manager 6.0.9 from source and apply the change in the
link above manually

Hi,

the PHP is now detected when I add the directory as a cgi dir in the scan

[Openvas-discuss] IP mixed in report

2016-09-21 Thread Nicolas Schmitz

Hello,

I'm trying to get report, on a per machine basis, so I can send the
report to the admin sys concerned by the issues.

I do this in gsad, and it works well for almost all. Howewer, for some
of them, I get a report with 4 or 5 machine instead of one, because the
filter match them. For example :

="100.10.10.14" notes=1 overrides=1 result_hosts_only=1 levels=hm
first=1 rows=50 sort=name

Will match only 100.10.10.14 in gsad, but when I ask for a PDF report,
it will match

100.10.10.14, 100.10.10.141, 100.10.10.142, etc...

Do you know how can I get the report to be "as clever" as the filter in
selection of host ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Nicolas Schmitz

And that repeats (probably) 31846 times. This is done for each IP in the

Re: [Openvas-discuss] OpenVAS large PDF export

2016-09-21 Thread Eero Volotinen
You could add some debugging to generate script that is used to generate
pdf.

use

find / -type f -iname 'generate' -print

and locate the correct one..

Re: [Openvas-discuss] Kali OpenVAS Packages Installation

2016-09-21 Thread Παναγιώτης Λεόντιος
Hello.

What do you mean by that? I have installed a Kali Image (OVA fle) in
Virtualbox, executed the first command, but the second took TOO LONG and at
some point it stopped running any more...

I plan to repeat the series of commands as instructed in OpenVAS page (package
installation).

Any problem with that?

you don't download and install packages on a sane operating system - guess what
the grey boxes with shell commands are for

root@kali:~# apt-get update
root@kali:~# apt-get dist-upgrade
root@kali:~# apt-get install openvas

Re: [Openvas-discuss] OpenVAS large PDF export

2016-09-21 Thread Schoemaker, Tijmen
Goodmorning Eero,

The last time i tried, the page just stopped loading.
Previously, i could kill xsltsproc and would get a 0kb pdf file.

If this would be memory limit, where could i change this?
The vm has 12gb memory.

Tijmen

Using the CLI wasnt a succes either. Just keeps on busy.
(sudo omp -h 127.0.0.1 -p-port=9391 -u admin -p -R

I also tried to copy the report.xml to /tmp, then:
cd
/usr/share/openvas/openvasmd/global_report_formats/c402cc3e-b531-11e1-9163-406186ea4fc5
sudo ./generate /tmp/report.xml >/tmp/report.pdf
Whitout succes..

What level is max? 0 or 128?

I never scanned so many hosts but if i were you i would try to download the
report through openvas-cli or connecting directly with the OpenVAS Manager.
Also check the GSAD and Manager logs it can give a hint to what is happening
(remember to raise the log level to max).
