candidates with large 'Christmas tree' resumes, who when we phone screen,
have poor T-SQL skills or have never really used SSIS in an enterprise data
warehouse environment. We prefer a short resume that focuses on the skills
and experiences we need. An additional description by the candidate of some
recent complex ETL development using SSIS & T-SQL is also nice to have.
This position will last for at least two years, but we always do six month
contracts and renew every six months.

The Business Architect is responsible for translating the business and
functional strategy and plans in to the domain-specific capabilities and
business solutions necessary to deliver the strategy. By challenging the
status quo, identifying improvement opportunities, building functional
models, operational business architectures and various enterprise
architecture models that link business and technology concepts they will
improve the effectiveness, efficiency of the business and the customer
centricity of the technology organization.

- Develop a business architecture strategy for multiple domains, applying a
structured approach and methodology for capturing key views of the
business. Work as an effective liaison between the business and technology
to effectively influence and negotiate decisions as they relate to the
domain strategies. Define and maintain strategy to ensure technology
solutions support business needs and strategies within cost, schedule and
scope. Create and own a multi-year roadmap for capabilities within the
domains.

- Provide strategic leadership in defining and designing the end-to-end
technology solution models for the business. Drive consistency and
optimization of business processes and technology solutions across
capabilities within the domain. Assist business and technical designers in
understanding design choices. Provide recommendations to preserve integrity
across the various strands of change and ensure the delivery of holistic,
integrated solutions.

- Work with the business to understand and define business processes that
meet goals and objectives and maximize the value proposition of the
technology solution. Analyze the existing domains to determine whether
opportunities exist to create competitive advantages, cost efficiencies
and/or revenue growth. Perform current state assessment to identify people,
process, technology and information gaps to develop transformation roadmap
and help create the supporting cost-benefit analysis (CBA).

- Drive the development and adoption of a consistent business architecture
practice that includes consistent modeling tools and processes; industry
leading best practices; templates and standard deliverables. Act as the
custodian of the business architecture standards, methods, conceptual and
logical designs. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with

Job Summary:


Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive
knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience, to
administer and manage the most complex database management systems. Leads
major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact.
Influences strategic direction and develops tactical plans and completes
complex assignments with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or
decisions. End results are evaluated for achieving goals and objectives.
Extensive contact with internal customers and other information technology
(IT) professionals is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve
complex database issues and problems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


· May lead the work of others and provide training, as required.

· Coaches and mentors less experienced associates.

· Ensures high availability, security and integrity of assigned databases.

· Implements data models and database designs and enables applications with
efficient back-end access and processing.

· Resolves database performance, capacity, replication, and other
distributed data issues.

· Evaluates database architecture, backup, fault tolerance and security
procedures and recommends enterprise wide standards.

· Evaluates new releases of operating systems and database management
software (DBMS) and suggests processes for migrating to new releases.

· Develops standards for database maintenance plans, security and database
server configuration, and backups of databases and transaction logs.

· Participates in data modeling and database logical and physical design
for large mission critical databases with enterprise-wide visibility.

· Participates in application development process and code reviews of
database objects.

· Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and
application performance.

· Configures database server to work with middleware, web servers and
Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools.

· Configures, supports, and optimizes replication.

· Maintains currency in database administration practices and techniques.

· Operates standard office equipment and uses required software
applications.

· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications -


- Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, which must
include relational database theory.

- Minimum four years SQL Server or Oracle DBA experience

- Experience supporting GoldenGate replication

- Experience supporting multiple production and development servers

- Good SQL skills - ability to write and tune complex stored procedures and
views

- Performance tuning

- Experience with HP NonStop a plus

We are essentially looking for a really solid server side Java developer
(not a web developer) that is very resourceful and independent, yet able to
work with the scrum team and take guidance. *Familiarity with Git is
essential*.

 *Responsibilities*

 • Review system requirements from Business Analysts and the
Product Management indicating the business needs and functionalities of the
proposed application;

• Engage Product Management and other stakeholders on the
feasibility of the proposed requirements and the effort necessary to
satisfy the same.

• Create high level design documents that describe the
implementation approach for approval from Management and Architecture
stakeholders.

• Partner with rest of the team to develop a detailed design
towards implementation and their dependencies.

• Write robust and secure code for functional and test
components that meets the acceptance and quality criteria.

• Conduct and participate in peer design and code reviews.

• Ensure that all code is successfully tested using Unit,
Integration and Behavioral Tests and partner closely with QE engineers to
system test the components for complete functional coverage.

• Interact with Performance and Capacity planning teams to
ensure that the product has met all the necessary performance and
scalability requirements prior to production deployment.

• Interact with Operations and Release Engineering to produce
installable components that make up the final product that is production
ready.

• Mentor junior team members on the product, process, and its
implementation towards team success.

• Embrace iterative development and Agile process principles.

• Contribute towards the maintenance of active releases in
production

• Performs other relevant duties as assigned with high quality
and on time.

 *Qualifications:*

 • *Education*

o Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or equivalent) with a
minimum of 5-7 years of related experience using Java and Object oriented
technologies

o Master’s degree (Computer Science or equivalent with 3 years
of related experience using Java and Object oriented technologies.

• Full stack application developer with SaaS experience
preferred.

 *Required Experience and Skills*

• Java/J2EE/Spring

o Java/Spring certifications preferred

• REST API/JSON/XML

• Database Technologies

o Relational Databases – Oracle, MySQL

o JDBC/ORM

• Search Technologies
