STRM data version/date (contour lines, hillshade)

2016-09-21 Thread Devon
There are multiple versions of the STRM data available as outlined on the OSM
wiki . What version and what
resolution was used to create the contour and hillshade files for OsmAnd?
This info should be mentioned on the relevant OsmAnd page
 and in the plugin info
in the app.

Pebble watch support & routing on the phone

2016-09-21 Thread Gus

What is the state of support for the Pebble watch?

Is there a facility for user editing of routes generated?

Many thanks ;)

Re: Switch for using routes through Military training grounds.

2016-09-21 Thread Aceman444
Right, OsmAnd tries to obey access restrictions (if they are tagged). There
is not yet a profile for emergency vehicles to ignore all restrictions.
The fastest way for you would be to edit the routing.xml file.

In the block starting with [way attribute="access"], remove the lines like
[select value="-1" t="motorcar" v="no"/]. value="-1" means a road with a
tag "motorcar=no" will be avoided in OsmAnd. So remove the lines for the
restrictions you want to ignore.

Switch for using routes through Military training grounds.

2016-09-21 Thread 'Jan-Niklas B.' via Osmand
Hey Guys,

I've used OSMand a few years ago and started to use it again last week.
I've installed it because I'm working in the emergency medical service and
we needed to find a route to drive through one of 3 NATO military training
grounds we have in our region (Munster & Bergen in Lower Saxony, Germany).
So we searched for a navigation app which contains the streets of the
training grounds and found that OSM / OSMand does but also we noticed that
the routing tries to find a way around the training ground.
So it would be great if routing through military training grounds would be
an option under options -> street types to prevent.

I'm seeing forward for your response.

NG
Jan-Niklas B.
