I had hundreds of recorded tracks in the rec folder, now there only 30 from this year 2020 that are available to view. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OsmAnd" group. Galaxy S10 Plus - maps interrupted by magnet on car mount
I found turning off the magnetic sensor in Osmand maps to cure the issue with the magnet interrupting the compass of Osmand maps. It seems to work now with the, use magnetic sensor turned off in settings for Osmand maps. The car mount for my phone uses a strong magnetic and I found this to interrupt the phone's magnetic sensor, so turning it off seems to fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas regarding this trouble? I am not sure if I had it turned off in settings on my Galaxy S8 plus, I can not remember. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OsmAnd" group. .srtm.obf versus .obf files
Could someone please tell me what the difference between, .srtm.obf versus .obf files are and can I delete either type of file, as they consume a large amount of space on my device. There is an STRM folder, do we need this as the .OBF files are located in the NET.OSMAND.PLUS folder. Thank you. two different devices, two different times to plan a route to destination
I have this problem where I have two Samsung devices, one slower and older than the other device, but with planning a route to a destination, the slower processor device easily is faster at finding the route to the same destination than the faster and newer device. I use the same destination on both devices to compare speeds. Any ideas, please? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. osmand destination planning
Picking the same destination both on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ and racing it against my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the Tab 2 wins by far, the Galaxy S8+ just sits there wondering which route to take. Galaxy S8+ has a faster processor, yet is beaten by the Tab2, a much older unit! Any help would be much appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Navigation
What is the use of a navigation where I want the route to be best chosen for me, yet now we have to choose waypoints so that the routes can calculate my route. The route should be chosen by Osmand maps better than I can and quicker than I can do. It is time consuming and difficult to know which direction to choose and calculate routes without never have heen there before. I raced both my Samsung Galaxy tab S2 and my Galaxy S8 plus, calculating the exact same route, the tab S2 won, while my Galaxy S8plus just hung there. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: Automatic gpx track logging does not work
Thanks for the suggestion. I might try un-installing Osmand, then re-installing. I wonder about all of the favourites and recorded track and other gpx tracks and all of the my downloaded vector maps, can I save them to a pc, then later move them back over? I guess that should not be a problem. Re: strange and annoying navigation behavior
I agree, too many keep left, keep right navigation instructions, I have missed my lane change due to these instructions which become monotonous and off-putting. I hope these directions can be eased back somewhat. On Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 5:36:45 AM UTC+10, Klaus Lichtenwalder wrote: > > Hi, > > I'm using osmand while on holidays in Brittany, France. Re: Automatic gpx track logging does not work
I notice that the tracks are being recorded, but the live track doesn't display, so I would not be able to back track, follow the track back. A lot suggestions have been made, but how to find out if any of them apply to me or this issue that I am having? Having rights to the SD card, is one I'd like to investigate further with some help, please. Thank you to all who have contributed to this issue. Yes, all settings are enabled to view gpx tracks as they are getting recorded. I have run out of ideas. Opening gpx file, should take the map to that location
I find that opening one of my gpx tracks does not take me to that location and can be difficult to find on the map, especially if I can not remember where the track was recorded. It'd be nice to be taken automatically to that location in Osmand. Also, is there voice recognition for Osmand map navigation as yet?
