[ozmidwifery] c/s and other stats for mid led units
Hi all, Just doing a bit of my own research, and wondering if there are any stats yet for the newly formed midwifery led units such as Ryde, St George etc. I have access to the ones that have been issued for the Womens and Childrens in Adelaide (MGP), but I suppose there is also the Canberra one (is that still running) and also the Perth community midwifery programme. Having just figured out what our personal stats for 5 years in practice together are, Id like to be able to compare with these groups if the info is out thereanyone? Re: [ozmidwifery] c/s and other stats for mid led units
The Wyong info would be as per the Mothers and Babies report. We have been a low risk unit with no inductions or epidurals for quite sometime, but the criteria was tightened to reflect the ACMI referal guidelines less than 12mths ago when we re-opened after a period of closure due to inadequate medical backup. So good data for this period would not be available yet. Belmont has had 12mths up as of July. Im sure Carolyn Hastie could give you this info (I believe she is away at the Qld conference in Noosa this weekend though). RE: [ozmidwifery] c/s and other stats for mid led units
Dont actually have them here at the moment, but out of 99 women, 0% induction and episiotomy, 6% c/section, I think around 10% perineal trauma requiring suturing, 65%waterbirths, and thats all I can remember off the top of my head! Needless to say, Wendy and I are very proud of the living proof that continuity of carer does seem to come up with the goods.. Mareeba Maternity had recently compiled stats. You would need to apply through Tableland Health Service District to access them. [ozmidwifery] Midwifery Work experience?
Dear Midwives, Arethere any independent midwives or hospitalsin Melbourne who would be willing to take a year 11 student for a few days of work experience. She is very keen to be a midwife and is willing to negotiate travel etc and a time to suit. Any info would be most appreciated - please email me off-line if this is a possibility. Thank you. Mary Doyle, Midwife, North-East Victoria.
