Re: gold wave options.
Hello, If Billy uses save as dialog in Goldwave, then he can write or browse to the folder he wants to save the files, but if he uses batch then he should press ctrl-tab several times until he hear folder and then tab to edit field where he can type in the location he wishes, or tab once more to browse botton and there fined the folder. If you're referring to the batch convertion, there's a file locations tab. You can specify in that tab where you want your files to go and if you want existing files overwritten. Question about GoldWave, really important to me
Hello everyone, I'm needing to record something this afternoon, but I won't be home when it's going to be on. So I was wondering, can you set GoldWave to start recording at a certain time, using the Line-in source? If so, how do I go about setting this up? I want to connect my boombox to the computer, sense this program I'm wanting to record, will be on the radio. I have windows XP, GoldWave version 5.8, and Jaws 5.1, if this helps. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you, Terri -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Re: Question about GoldWave, really important to me
Set things up as if you were going to do an ordinary record from the line in jack. Now hit F11 to get into your controls dialog, and control-tab to get to the record tab. If you have it set to unbounded, you'll want to change it to bounded to selection so you won't keep recording perpetually. There's a button for delayed recording. Check this, and then next to it will appear an edit box for your record time. This is the time of day, in 24-hour format, that your program starts. Probably want to start a minute or so earlier. Next to that you select the day of the week you want to start recording. Now click on OKAY. Use control+n to create a new file. Set your quality and the length of the file you want. Remember to add a minute to the length if you had it start recording a minute early. Then press control+f9 to start recording, and the delayed recording should take effect. Don't forget to go to the record control properties afterwards to change things back. I hope this is of some help. Hi Sun Sparkle. I have found that when using Winamp with Live 365 I have to log in to the Live 365 service before attempting to play a stream from them. For whatever reason, I have found that when using Real Player, I don't have to log in every time. That being said, listening options are always more accessible with Winamp, so it might be worth the inconvenience of needing to log in. One other worthwhile mention here... as a live 365 VIP member I can downlload and use radio 365. The version of this application which has just been released is quite accessible with WindowEyes, 5.0, though not so good with Jaws 6.0. For non-VIP members, Radio 365 can be purchased for $14 and something. A demo is also available. This lets you access live 365 from your desktop, but again I should stress that so far I haven't been able to make it work with anything but WindowEyes. Is there a solution to this that doesn't entail sitting in front of my computer to listen to these stories. MPG's are video files. Maybe I'll have to make a DVD to play on my DVD player, where I eventually want to play these files. I can play DVD's, naturally, on it; I can play MP3's on it, but I can't play those MPG files on it, unless maybe some sighted assistance can help me get round this problem. Please, I would like some real solutions. Re: live 365
Hi Robin. Have you tried using the VIP player? This is a different option than Radio 365 and I don't really know what's different with it from a techie standpoint. However it does give you the best possible audio quality, and when used in conjunction with jaws, it works fine for me. I guess your other solution would be to download the WindowEyes demo (which works up to 30 minutes) and Radio 365, which works well with WindowEyes. That seems a shade drastic, but it should work. You could also use Winamp, WMP or Real, but then there would be no reason to pay the VIP price. Larry - Original Message - From: rafrost [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Hi Kevin. You can erase the CDRW easily enough in Nero. Simply start Nero, assuming you have burning ROM here, and press alt + R to open the recorder menu. Now arrow down to the erase disc option and press enter. Choose whether you want to do a quick erase or completely erase the whole disc, choose your erase speed and tab to the erase button pressing enter to start the process. Regards. Re: Problem with MPG Files
Gary! MPG is short for MPEG which stands for Motion Picture Experts Group. It is a protocol for compressing Video and Audio. An MPG file has a video component, a audio component and information that defines what video goes with what audio. MPx is the audio component of a MPG file. In your case you have MP3. There are MP1 and MP2 and MP4 as well. When you load an MPG file into something like Sound Forge that is only designed to handle audio you get just the audio part of the MPG. I better stop. Hi Bruce, and list, Two more questions, concerning this delayed recording. Twenty-four hour format, that's military time right? So if my program started at 5:00 this afternoon, I'd put 17:00 in the time area? I just thought I should make sure I had this right. Also, are you saying that after I set it all up, I have to press control F9, to activate it? I wasn't sure if I was understanding that right. Same way you get to tabs in any dialog. When in the batch conversion dialog, you can either tab over to the list of tabs and left/right arrow between them, or use control+tab to move between tabs. Robin, did you get Radio 365 or the VIP player. The reason that I'm asking is because you don't really have to interact with the VIP player. You just load it, choose it as your default player, and it pops up when you choose a station from their website. If you need a hand at finding the right player, just let me know. Nero help please!
Hello List members,I have just recentley started useing NeroVersion 5.5,Via a friends 10 step Tutorial, for burning and copying audio cd's, without any real trouble.however whilst attempting to copy a Commercialmusic Cd,everything was ok up to and including the copying of the source disk which Jaws relayed to me at this point I inserted the Blank cd disk into the Drive, then came the problem, Nero would not burn and copy the new blank disk.I would be very grateful for any help .Also is it simpler to use the Wizord for this task?, if so, instruction for it's use would also be apreciated.Thanking you in anticipation Alan Pollard, -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
