strange otsdj behavior

2007-01-25 Thread Richard Claypool
Hi,

I'm playing around with v 1.5 and the f keys for the decks don't work. they
don't work that is until you hit alt shift f1. Then they work. it's as if
upon loading otsdj has these keys sticky so, for example, if you hit f1
before hitting alt shift f1, it will turn down the pitch of the song.

Any ideas?

Rick

 Hi folks

Well, teaches me to do research before posting huh?
I downloaded a Winamp plugin called Gen msn that seems to give live
messenger that functionality. so if anyone wants it, you can get it from
 http://www.myplugins.info/msn-messenger-plugin.php

Hope this helps some of you folks.

 Hi folks

Ok, this might border on off-topic status, but since it involves
music in a way I figured I'd see if anyone can help here. A while
back, I downloaded a patch for windows live messenger and one of the
features was the ability to show what song you were listening to as a
personal message when you're using Winamp. A while back, I
upgraded to Windows Media player 11, and for some reason, it stopped
happening. I went into Windows Media players options and found that
there was a windows live messenger plugin, and sure enough when I use
windows media player, the song title shows up as a personal message.
but as a lot of you guys know, i use Winamp for almost everything on
my system that I can use it for, and I'd like to have this ability
back again. i even went so far as to role back to windows media
player 10, thinking this would fix the problem, but sadly it
hasn't. So, can anyone tell me how to enable this feature again, or
is there a suitable Winamp plugin that'll do the job for me? I like
to show what songs i'm listening to, so if anyone knows, I'd love to
know how I can do this again. many apologies to Tom if this is in
any way considered off topic for the list, but since this is a pretty
active list, I thought I'd quiz you guys to see if there were any answers.

Thanks.

r09 manual and card format

2007-01-25 Thread russell Bourgoin
Hi Guys and gals,

I'm waiting with baited breath for my doorbell to ring as
I'm expecting delivery of my ederol r09 recorder this morning. I
listened to all I could find and have two questions. I do not have a
card reader so formatting the card via that method, as I heard on one
of the podcasts, is, for now, at least, out of the question. Can I
put the card in the machine and format it from my computer?

Secondly, is there a manual in text or pdf available? If so, where?

Thanks in advance.

Subject: the new olympus digital recorders

hi. Just changing the subject line here to better reflect the
discussion. I'm curious as to how we went from Replay A/V 8 to the
new olimpus digital recorders, but that's how it goes on these lists
 sometimes.

Hi Bob. Yes. That would be the DS-50. Did you get a hands-on demo? It
is
supposed to contain some specific accessibility features making it usable
for us. Did you get a chance to try those?

Does anyone on the list know about the new Olimpus digital recorders? I
  saw
one today that records up to 72 hours.
Unfortunately did not get the model number. It sells for about 300
  dollars.

I believe they are both included. Definitely Replay Converter is
 included.

Do MP3 Magic and Replay Converter come with v.8 or do you buy them
  separately?
  Thanks.

Fwd: Accessibility of Skype was Re: Skype Version 3.0.0.209 is now Available

2007-01-25 Thread Steve Pattison

From: Doug Lee [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The announcement of upcoming scripts still holds true, but the
announcer, that's me, sorta got swamped with work-related stuff and
has not managed to rear his head back into the Skype scripting arena
for a couple weeks now. :)

But yes, Skype is becoming more accessible out of the box, and 3.0
introduces some options to improve accessibility, such as the
menu-based access to mood text setting that Doris mentioned. I've
actually concentrated for several months more on getting Skype
developers to make things work for us instead of scripting them to
work for JAWS. I think it's paying off.

Likewise, Window Eyes and SKREad work well with it. Skype 3.0 even
has an accessibility mode for extended keyboard navigation that makes
it easier to access the mood mesage text, for example.

If you are a jaws user and rely on the jaws scripts for extra
functionality, you might want to wait with the upgrade as the skype
scripts are somewhat outdated by now and do not fully support skype
3.0. The script developer announced a forthcoming version of the
scripts to support skype 3.0 but nothing has been released yet as of
this date to my knowledge.
