 hello anders,

a device which will do what you want to do was shown on QVC UK at the
 weekend.
but instead of being just for cassette decks, it connects to your pc by
 USB
and you can connect whatever you want to the other end including record
decks, cassette decks, tv, radio, dvd and vcr.
it comes with software that automatically recognises different tracks on
lps or gaps between songs on a cassette.
plus it can automatically remove hiss, crackles and pops for you.
it can save the audio in several formats.

the url for qvc uk is:

 www.qvcuk.com

if you enter the number 553108 in their search box the details and
 order
page will come up for this item, and below the description on this page
 is
a watch video link that will show you an audio and video demonstration of
 the unit.
 .
below is their short description for this unit.
ADS Tech Instant Music Record Your Old LPs and Tapes To MP3
Salvation for doomed audio formats is at hand with Instant Music, the
 program that
allows you to record your old vinyl albums and tapes to audio CD and MP3.
 You can
save music as MP3, WAV and AAC audio formats and burn CDs with Nero
 software. And
you can capture from just about any audio source too - including
 cassette,
 turntable,
TV, radio and DVD. Includes Instant Music external USB 2.0 device, a CD
 containing
Nero software and a USB cable. Requires Pentium 3 with available USB
 port,
 CD-ROM
drive/burner for creating audio CDs. Compatible with Apple G4.

 hope this helps.

 pete gurney.

Hi. I understand that Sound Forge requires scripts when used with Jaws. But
What about Sound Forge with Window-Eyes. One aspect of GoldWave that I've
always liked is that it works with Window-eyes right out of the box. And
  Sound Forge?

I believe most things in Sound Forge work with WE but some of the

have managed those sliders using the mouse keys.

2007-04-26 Thread Anders Holmberg
HellO!
I do not know what i have done but i updated my drivers a few days ago.
When i did that the m-audio control Panel just went away.
So i decided to remove the new drivers and install the old ones with the
control panel from the m-audio cd.
I did that.
But now evry time i start windows xp home i get that nasty dialog telling me
i have new hard ware.
And the m-audio control panel is not ther.
But the drivers are installed successfully.
I have an m-audio delta audiophile 192.
THis is really frustrating.
I cant play anything through my computer now.
SO what do i do?
Maybe trhow this nasty soundcard away-).

I use Sound Forge every day with Window Eyes and no set files. It
works fine for me but it depends on what you want to do. Some of the
dialogues I can't make any sense out of. Most of the things I can't use I
don't want to use anyway.

I need help installing rockbox

2007-04-26 Thread Don Ball
Hello. I am working with an iaudio x5. Here is what I have done. I went to
the rockbox site and downloaded the boot loader two Firmware. the file was
x5fw.bin. Next I went and got the rockbox software for the x5. The file was
called rockbox.zip. I unzipped the Rockbox software to the root directory
and It created a folder called rockbox. I then went and got a voice file and
installed it in the langs directory in the rock box folder. I went and
installed the fonts directory after the player didn't work right the first
time and still nothing.
I didn't copy the rockbox.iaudio to the root however. I let the firmware
update the player and turned the player on. Now the player speaks a bit but
It is like it is stuck in the main menu and not the play menu or the folder
view menu where it should be. What Am I doing wrong? Could some one send me
the necessary files to do this job or do I have the corect files?
I was able to put the old firmware back on but I would really like to
install rockbox and have it work. If I get my friends player right I plan to
buy my own.

2007-04-26 Thread Brandon Hicks
Hi,
What you need to do is first of all place the x5fw.bin in the firmware
directory. Plug in the power cord before you paste that in there. Unplug
the USB and turn the player off. Turn it back on again and that part
should be done. Then, if you have the latest daily build, which is what
you need, for the IAudio X5, copy and paste the .rockbox directory into
the root and put the english.voice, again from a daily build, into the
langs directory. You'll need to go to files to find your music, and
resume playback once you've got stuff going.
