RE: Youtube issues

If your video is loading then its not an update you need.
You need someone to unmute it.

What's the best way to udpate that?
There seems to be a mute button, but none of seems to be that
accessible.

Make sure that your adobe flash player is up to date.

Re: Youtube issues

2011-05-19 Thread Matthew Bullis
Although I worked with Jed on this, and he was using WindowEyes
while I'm using Jaws, this solution might work for you. I found that when I
focused on a flash button, like the pause button on the video, then right
clicked on it with the applications key or the Jaws right click, that it
brought up a menu, two choices of which are settings and global settings.
When I went into there, I was able to up arrow and turn up the volume. This
didn't work for Jed though, but whether it was a fluke on my part, or
whether WindowEyes doesn't relate the same to the flash buttons, I don't
know. Anyhow, it's something to look into, before getting sighted
assistance.

Unfortunately I've forgotten now how I did get there, but there are
preferences. I fiddled around thinking I needed to update or reinstall the
player, but that only caused confusion, since the installation buttons
aren't labeled properly.

Re: GoldWave VU meter question

Hi
Can I add to this discussion - is there any way of knowing if a sound or
file is clipped when playing or clipping when recording?

In earlier versions of GoldWave, I could easily read the VU meter. In
the more recent versions, I am not able to do so and am presently using
version 5.58. If one can still read the VU meter, please tell me how to
do so, regardless of which screen reader you use.

Thanks.

Re: Youtube issues

2011-05-19 Thread Alexandra GrĂ¼nauer

Hi Jet,

Are you trying to watch new videos or videos that you've watched before?

I sometimes have the problem that videos that I'd like to watch are
copyrighted for Germany, and so I can't play them while people in the U.S.
could. Maybe you've come across a similar problem?
