Trying to utilize CD Architect 5.2, in Soundforge 9.0E
Dear Listers, I have learned the rudimentary steps, to create regions, in Soundforge 6.0. Now, I want to be able to create a CD, say from a live recording, with tracks, that can be used, on a CD player, that has a numerical keypad, to access tracks. I am having difficulty, at present, accessing the Sony knowledge base, because of some internet connection problems, that I am having, in that I cannot get to the links that the tech support team gave me. That having been said, since the CD Architect 5.2 manual, that I have, is very confusing, what is a simple explanation of how to do the steps, necessary, to make this happen? Soundforge 9.0 sat on my bookshelf, for over a year, while I did other things; now I am going through the hair pulling that arises, from trying to make this a reality! Nero or Goldwave would be the way to go, but I haven't invested in either of those programs, as of yet! Help! Re: CD Architect Question
Hi there. Yes in Nero there's no problen removing the 2 second gap. just do the following. 1. Place focus on a track which you want preceeded by something other than the default 2 second pause. 2. press alt+enter. At this point your screen reader should indicate that you are now in an edit field. 3. Tab twice. When you do that, your screen reader should say something like "pause 2," indicating that Nero is set to pause for 2 seconds before the highlighted track begins. 4. Write in the number of seconds that you would like Nero to pause before beginning the track in question. Note that if you want no pause, you should enter in 0. 5. Press enter to save your choice and repeat the process with any other tracks where you would like the preceeding pause to be different than the default 2 seconds. Hope this helps. CD Architect Question
Since I've started editing certain Vinyl and cassette to CD transfer projects in Sound Forge 8, I've learned that Nero 6.6 will not burn projects touched by SF. It consistently reports that I have a CDR in my drive, and that I need a CDR-RW instead. This is not true, as I have Nero set to Audio CD. Furthermore, Nero does not display the same anomaly when I burn a disk that was edited with DC6, Goldwave, or WavePad. So far, CD Architect seems to be the only burning program that will touch a Sound Forge edited project. My problem is that some of my customers want no gaps between tracks. In Nero, removing the 2 second gap between tracks is a simple matter. How can I accomplish the same thing when using CD Architect? As always, thanks for any suggestions you might be able to offer. Sony noise reduction 2.0 and CD Architect
Hi everyone. I understand that Sony's noise reduction 2.0 and CD Architect 5.2 ship with Sound Forge 8.0. My decision as to whether or not to purchase Sound Forge really hinges on how well these features work with Window-Eyes and or Jaws, as they are really the aspects of the program that will be of greatest use to me. Is there someone out there who has used these add ons with either screen reader? If so, I would be very interested to hear how well they performed for you when editing vinyl or tape files. Thanks very much. Larry Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: Is CD Architect accessible?
Right, I'm familiar with disc at once, but sometimes Sound Forge doesn't adhere strictly to the sector boundaries of the .wav files, so even though it's not a two-second gap between songs, and even though it's disc at once, I will get a millisecond of gap due to the .wav files being put back together and not quite aligning. Re: Is CD Architect accessible?
Matthew Sound Forge 8.0 is due out this month, March. The CD Architect that is out now is reported to be accessible. It looks like we won't know about the one that's bundled with Sound Forge 8.0 until it comes out. In order to eliminate the silence between your tracks you want to burn your music CD's using Disk At Once and not Track at Once. Any real Music CD burning program like CD Architect will have these two options available. Chirp|Chirp|Chirp: It's the Bat, Chirping Bat .Com ! Is CD Architect accessible?
Hello, the latest version of Sound Forge, version 8, doesn't appear to be out yet, but when it does come out, it's being bundled with CD Architect. Will this extra program be accessible? It will allow users to burn gapless cd's from the program, respecting the regions you've placed in a file. I have a lot of concerts on my hard disc, all in .wav file format, and marked with region markers for making the track marks. Now when I make a cd, I have to extract the regions into separate .wav files, and sometimes it doesn't exactly line up seamlessly on the audio cd. This will help a great deal if it is accessible.
