Re: OT I gave up

2019-02-21 Thread Stan Halpin
Dave, my wife’s iPad mini is on 12.1.4 Not sure the mini version but I gave it
to her 12-25-2014 so four years old.
She virtually never connects the mini to her computer, only when I nag her that
she should do a backup before we travel. Her update notifications come via
Notifications, they are downloaded via our home WiFi. Not sure of your setup,
but it sounds like your pipes are frozen. (That was intended as a metaphorical
reference reflecting our recent weather, not some arcane technical jargon.)
Something in your workflow/setup is seriously under optimized.

connected the ipad to the compiuter and its states software is up to
date at 9.3.5

ipad screen just the projector screen.. I suppose thats ok but i would
like to see whets coming up for comments sake. Small nit i know

well, with the photos on your iPad in the Photos app, you can use the
built-in slideshow feature, which has numerous options; instructions here:

Dear PDML :-),

Maybe one of you has Pentax SMC DA 16-45/4.0 that you don't really need...
Might it be possible to convince you to part with it for proper sum of
money?

Thanks.

Dave - I just bought for $39 lifetime license for windows movie maker -
wanted to make a slide show of selected shorts for my youtube channel and
to play around with editing some vids I have accumulated .. it looks
very user friendly and is nicer but similar to the version I had several
years ago
that I got lazy in using..  will let you know how it goes.. maybe there
is a version for macs :-)

At least the photos will be seen. Glad i did not get the old macbook

Re: PESO: Life in the slow lane

That's extremely slow lane... From the Wikipedia article linked by John:

"Like other land snails, these have intriguing mating behaviour, including
petting their heads and front parts against each other. Courtship can last
up to half an hour, and the actual transfer of gametes can last for two
hours. Transferred sperm can be stored within the body for up to two
years. "
