RE: PESO-Paris Street 2007
One of my favourite areas - that's on the corner of Rue Poulbot and Rue Norvins. Many years ago my wife and I walked along the Rue des Abbesses, in the same area, and found a perfect bistro for dinner by pure chance. Going over the hill behind Sacré-Coeur can also be interesting, as it seems quite different to the touristy area of Montmartre. Paris rewards getting off the beaten track as Rick says in another post. Why we are not posting - WAS: November PUG is Up
Like many others it seems, the last two years have been a mix of Covid restrictions and health problems - in mine, chemotherapy took me out of action for six months this year, and I am only now beginning to carry a camera around with me again when walking. Restrictions on travel have obviously reduced photo opportunities, not just overseas but at home as well (and I've never had much interest in still life and macro shots). Family photos I have also cut back on, as no-one much is interested in prints any more, and digital images get a "Thanks" and quickly are deleted, it seems. While age is also a factor (I'm 82), apart from the chemo I am in pretty good health, with no other major issues, so my sympathies got to fellow Pentaxians such as Ann and Stan, who have far more day-to-day problems to cope with than I do. Hope to get more active this coming year, John in Brisbane -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

I'm not shooting anything new either __ I can't hold a camera to my eye without some pain for more than a few seconds.. I'm just going through old files to digitize film stuff and design my calendars because "I HAVE TO" :-) Posting on Facebook when it strikes my fancy and because of many friends there who are not photos who do want to see my snaps of any age... My K-5 is affixed to my tri pod for ebay product shooting.. the coolpix is lighter than the K-5 but still to heavy to carry with me outside... and I have little interest in my neighborhood, to tell the truth, from a photo point of view.. I long for slickrock and ghost towns and woodlands so go back to my files for those... my balance is off too.. although cortisone saved my knees at least for a while- I stumble about clumsily .. have to concentrate on walking, can't browse for interesting things to shoot. I do love hunting for things to add to the pug and I enjoy especially the wonderful work of many of you who live in places that are beautiful. New York is a hell hole these days.. except that I have very cheap rent and easy access to food and clothing that I can afford and visits occasionally with younger friends who can come visit. at leas people are more sensible than not about masks and vaxes ann On 11/4/2021 6:51 PM, Ken Waller wrote: I'm just lurking, haven't taken a note worthy image in a couple of years due to several back operations and a new shoulder last March. Ralf, I am sorry to hear about the circumstances that have held you close to home and blocked you from creating new images. But I am glad you took the time to dig into old material for your contribution to this month’s gallery; your Architects’ Parsley is my personal favorite from this month. There are many well done flower pictures here, some quite stunning, and a few other nice variations on the theme - cacti, pines, etc. But your image stands out. stan > On Nov 4, 2021, at 11:56 AM, Ralf R Radermacher wrote: > > Am 04.11.21 um 14:56 schrieb Rick Womer: > >> Would you folks consider posting on the list again, please? > > ... > > The stuff I'm showing in the PUG is all years old and has been dug out > after long hours of searching for something that's godd enough, hasn't > been shown yet and has been taken with a Pentax camera or lens. > > Sorry to have no better news for the time being. > > Ralf > > -- > Ralf R.
