Boris, the same can be said for some of the cars made here in the US. Fortunately Ford has a pretty darn good reputation right now. I see a lot of that model Ford being used in the small business world. They are very practical vehicles and a lot more economical on fuel than the traditional panel vans of yesteryear! Walt Well, personally I had a Toyota Corolla (make 2004) that I received from the dealership brand new. To say the least, it wasn't too successful a car so much so that I was quite surprised given that it wasn't just any car. Three years later I got another Corolla, this time made in Japan, and it was a different beast all together. I am speaking about things such as assembly gaps or plastics or cabin noise. Both drove well, although both had an odd habit of getting their steering wheel out of balance so that in order to go straight I had to turn the steering a bit to the side. The best company leasing car I drove so far was Kia C'eed (made in Slovakia). I drove it for 2.5 years having clocked 55,000 km - no problems whatsoever, it just worked and nicely too. Presently I drive Peugeot 308 (made in France), which is a pampering and comforting car, but it was the very first since 2004 (that Corolla was my first company leasing car) that broke midway to work. Re: GESO - Land Rover
Let's see the original Land Rover was built on a Jeep chassis. The last vehicle that actually looked like a Land Rover was a Toyota Land Cruser. Rover was sold to Ford, who beyond all expectations actually improved Rover's quality, but Ford was unable to make a profit on Rover so they sold it to Tata. So really there's not much about Rover that's English at all...
