2021-03-20 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
We received our second Moderna shots Wednesday. I had no reaction, other
than mild pain right at the injection site for 24 hrs and a general feeling
of slight fatigue. My wife, who is a year younger, had strong headaches
and fever the day after and pain and stiffness in her entire arm for three
days now.

Re: OT Covid stuff

2021-03-18 Thread John
I think it's been a little over a month now since I got the second dose of
Pfizer vaccine. I had a slight soreness at the injection site the day after.

This week I had a day of super tiredness, such that I took several naps & spent
most of the day in bed. Don't know if that was related or not, but it was only
the one day.

Most of what I've heard/read suggests the stronger reactions come for younger
people. I've seen speculation the stronger reaction is caused by them having
stronger immune systems.

I dunno. I'm just glad it didn't cause me more pain.

Thanks Rick, I saw that also. There have been a few long-covid articles
scattered around lately but few have much real information. Because of course
just not enough is known. I just could not grasp a connection between the
crutches and her ongoing long-covid thing, just really weird!

There was an item in the NY Times today that the symptoms of “long COVID”
improve in about 40% of sufferers after the second jab—including getting back
long-absent taste and smell.

What a weird disease.

Still one week to go before having my first Pfizer. Have to drive 55 km

Silly organization: my wife doesn't yet get it because she is one and a

AstraZeneca is not vaccinated here to people above 65 year.

2021-03-18 Thread ann sanfedele
I had first shot of the Pfizer about two weeks ago .. sore arm appeared
a few hours later - very very tired for a couple of days but, alas, now
I still have headaches..
I don't usually get headaches but have had several since the shot. I
also had had a severe reaction to a drug for tacking osteoporosis two
years ago and headaches were part of it.
I stopped taking the med then and the headaches and other troubles
passed.. but I was pretty miserable or a while.
I guess I have to expect to be miserable afte second shot of Pfizer...
but maybe not.  Makes me wonder if it is possible there is something in
the vaccine for Covid has an ingredient that is also in Fosamax,
though.  Getting second shot March 29th - whatever occurs, it has to be
better than Covid-19.

I've had both shots of the Pfizer vaccine.  Just a sore arm after the
first one, a little more reaction after the second - about 24 hours
after the shot I had some moderate tiredness and body aches.  Reaction
lasted almost 12 hours - not problems since.
