I did something  different and was a bit surprised it worked. Shot 5.6 in 
shade. Shot came out  dark, but not so dark flower couldn't be seen (might not 
work as well with a  darker flower). Brought up a bit with highlight shadow and 
bingo background was  dark. I may try that again.

I used the Tamron SP 90 2.8 Macro. Only lens I've had  both in Pentax mount 
and Canon mount (this was Canon mount.) Does nice macros  and makes a pretty 
decent portrait lens too (non-macro).

I guess it might  be nice to alternate my more grim shots with some simple 
happy shots. ;-)  We'll see. Macro is not my forte, though I do mean to do it 
more (and somehow  never seem to get around to it.)

Why thanks, Paul. beam I don't  feel I raved enough about your recent 
flower shots, especially First Flower. One  gets going quick and going through
