Interesting, my first thought was the same sort of thing: crop out the bottom 
for a panoramic format.

I agree with Chris on the quality  mood of the shot. Was the one with 
the umbrellas and the lady sitting by herself yours? It looks like a 
theme here. I do not mind the lower corner but if you cropped out the 
building from the top it would add much to the isolation feeling IMHO.

Thanks, Don.  Yes, the one with the lady and umbrellas was mine, too.  I 
carried my camera that day with my ongoing On My Way to Work project in mind, 
and caught the guy in the morning and the woman in the evening.  I took Which 
Way? and Jump! the same day, too.

Sometimes I take my camera along and never click the shutter, and sometimes I 
come back with keepers. Ya never know.
