Re: GESO Tasha and Friends -- the rest of the story
Yes, the vibe in the place was all upbeat energy and fun. Everyone's got a day job of course (the SFX make-up guy is a landscaper; the DoP is an IT dude; etc.) and on the weekend and evenings they come together to create art. Steph is a natural improv comedian. She took everything in stride and was constantly wisecracking, even when the fake blood dried and sealed her eyelids closed. :-/ But they are all focussed and serious. They work _really_ hard, through multiple takes and redos until the results to everyone's satisfaction. I've never spent a better Saturday. Re: GESO Tasha and Friends -- the rest of the story
Yes, two Canon T3i's. They did their previous effort on digital as well--I think Canon 5D--but that was borrowed or rented so they bought the T3i's for this production. Sound is recorded on a digital deck with a Rhode mic on a boom. You can just make out the sound guy in the shadows of one shot. Thanks, Steve! Re: GESO Tasha and Friends -- the rest of the story
We had to leave before the end of the day, so missed that. It was out in Brantford, an hour and a half drive from our place in Mississauga, and we had to get home to feed all the pets. The film is still in production. They are shooting random stuff still, and then there's editing, post-production, the colourist stuff (is there a verb for it? Cotty?), and other work no doubt. Then I expect there'll be a _huge_ wrap party! :-) On Wed, Sep 26, 2012 at 7:35 PM, knarftheria...@gmail.com wrote: > The wrap party must have been amazing. > > ;-) > > Cheers, > frank > > "What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof." -- > Christopher Hitchens > > --- Original Message --- > > From: Bruce Walker > Sent: September 26, 2012 9/26/12 > To: Pentax Discuss Mailing List > Subject: GESO Tasha and Friends -- the rest of the story > > If you enjoyed my "Tasha and Friend" PESO Saturday, then here's just > the gallery for you ... > > http://www.flickr.com/bruce_m_walker/sets/72157631606597351/ > > I was freely roaming the production set (a producer's basement) of > this indie horror/comedy/puppet movie scheduled for 2013 release. > > This flick is coming from the same team that created "The Post-Lifers" > (2011), a zombie mockumentary that's touring all the indie film > festivals this year.
