I finally got around to submitting a pug, when the theme was mentioned I knew
exactly what photo I needed to post, then when I was looking for it, I found

Re: Last Call - May PUG

2020-04-30 Thread Stanley Halpin
I am not sure if you are asking a philosophical question or a question about
definitions… I’ll go with a definition.

Without going to a dictionary, I would define an alley (or alleyway) as a
narrow connecting passage. Not usually intended for modern vehicles. So, a
passageway between two streets or from a street to a courtyard, often giving
access to residences, to the rear of businesses, etc. In some U.S. cities,
houses front on the streets (usually with some front lawn area), and the back
of the property abuts a shared alleyway which provides access to the parking
area or garages behind the homes.

A couple of examples which I think might have fit this category {these from Old
City Jerusalem}

I reached back to Fall, 2013. I am sure I have seen trees since then but this
was reachable with a quick search…

I have lots of photos of trees, not a lot of good ones, but I don't have
time to make a new one.  I'll take a look at what I have.

As previously mentioned, I need to close this one off early because of my
upcoming travels.

I'm going to shut this one down on Saturday evening, 27 April, Sydney time.

Re: Last Call - May PUG

2018-05-01 Thread Brian Walters
Hi Dan

I cut it short this month because I'm on the road and need to compile the
gallery as I go.

I'm still working on it so, if you want to just use the June form (or email the
details direct), I should still be able to squeeze it in.

Cheers

Did I miss the May deadline? Damn.

I thought you were taking submissions until tonight; the reference to
"Sydney Time" didn't register.

I couldn't decide, so I dawdled; Now when I finally got my image and tried
to upload it, I missed out. :(
