Re: help! I upgraded Firefox and now...
Ann, It would be helpful to know what version of Firefox you upgraded to. There is a lot of info out there about java being disabled by Firefox 3.6 update. I believe the solution is simply that you need a newer version of Java installed. You'll find the steps here: http://java.com/en/download/help/firefox_online_install.xml Hope this helps. Aw, Didn't think that for a minute - got upset out of proportion as it was on top of other worrisome stuff. Glad you managed to fix it yourself. I've opted out of this continual upgrade cycle that infects Firefox (and Thunderbird) lately, especially as each upgrade seems to break some add-ons. I'm still using Firefox 4.0.1 and while it still works, I'm staying with it. It had not occured to me at first that I could pretend 3.6.25 was new and I would not have to uninstall 9.0 to reinstall 3.6.25 9.0 sucks in a bunch of ways. apparently it's upgrades have a lot to do with being able to use it on hand-held devices of which i have none. ann -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Unfortunately (because you are a photographer) 9.0 is very superior to 3.6 in that it recognizes version 4 ICC profiles (version 3.5 - 7 don't). -- Mark Roberts - Photography Multimedia www.robertstech.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
