Thanks, Ann. I didn't include the white spots you're referring to because they were there, I discounted those in favor of others I removed which were more above and around the area near to his grumpiness which were more distracting to me. Re: OT: Demise of Nikon compact cameras.
Not surprising that the compact digital camera is dead. I have had SLRs or DSLRs since 1966. For much of that period, I also had a compact camera for times when I didn't want to bring out the SLR. When Pentax came out with the Optio (and the ads showing it in an Altoids tin), I bought one, used it heavily and greatly enjoyed it. Since my fist iPhone with camera, however, I have not touched it or any other compact. My iPhone 6S performs more than adequately for every purpose that I might otherwise use a compact camera. It usefulness is heightened by the fact I always have it with me. I am not ready to give up my DSLR. It still excels when image quality is important, but I am taking more iPhotos every day. Re: OT: My future is a bit more secure
That looks like their opening offer. I think you should counter with a request for at least $750,000 with the extra $500,000 to be viewed as compensation for damage to your reputation due to the egregious use by syndicate members of your name and web identity to insult and defame innocent persons. I only ask for 10% = $50,000 in payment for this suggestion. You have my PayPal account information, request you forward that $50k ASAP. Thank you! stan > On Nov 1, 2017, at 1:40 PM, Billwrote: > > This just in: > > U.S. Department of the Treasury > 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue,NW > Washington,DC 20220 > > The Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") of the US Department of the > Treasury has been authorized in their > Sanction Programs to compensate 120 people who has being a victim of internet > scam and fraud. The US Department > of the Treasury has decided to pay you $250,000.00 USD (Two Hundred and Fifty > Thousand United States Dollars) > each in order to restore the global economy to the enviable standard of > respectability. > > Your particulars was mentioned by one of the syndicates who was arrested as > one of the victims of their > operations. You are hereby warned not to communicate or duplicate this message > to him or her for any reason > whatsoever as the United Nations Police (UNPOL) are already on trace for the > other criminals, these information should > remain confidential till they are all apprehended, other victims who have not > been contacted can submit their > application as well for scrutiny and possible consideration. > > You will be contacting Richard Berner directly by replying to this email for > the release of your $250,000.00 USD > compensation fund,he's the director of the Office of Financial Research > (OFR).You are to provide him with the > requested information below for further verification: > > 1)Full Name: 2)House Address: 3)Nationality: 4)Age: 5)Gender: 6)Occupation: > 7)Phone Number: > > Best Regards, > Steven Mnuchin > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Came across an old article...
I remember those long ago days of the mid to late aughties when every new Pentax release from the K10D onward was a game changer for Pentax. Those articles were rife with each newly released Pentax camera, right up to the demise of some of those same magazines. Sadly that game change never really happened but they did keep Pentax alive. Personally I hope all current camera manufactures stay alive, even Canon, but unfortunately that's not the way to bet. Lucky for us Pentax users, the camera division, is one of Ricoh's money making assets. Unfortunately Ricoh's copier business, the cash cow, doesn't seem to be doing so well. I think some of you have the K-7, and I hope you now feel encouraged to go back Outdoors! stan -- America wasn't founded so that we could all be better.
