Hey David,

Tell me what you mean by hosts and packages. If by 'host' you mean the
provider, I have real experience with DataPipe, Interland, and CIHost to
throw in the pot.
-//

Pretty simple, host would be someone like datapipe or addr.com, the packages
would be their differient plans,
eg:
starter plan
budget plan
ecom plan etc

If you want to throw in your experience with the above hosts first they
would have to have themselfes registered at bestwebhosters.com (thats the
domain by the way, was REA lucky to get it, i guess it expired and
someone forgot to renew it..am just happy i got it so who cares? :-D

Nope, but you are guilty if you are "whipped" :-D

% want to stay in business but i kind of figured that the users would have
% seperate client accounts with me (so seperate control panels) to

No, it's probably right... You meant one vote-per-person regarding a
particular host==provider. Right? I thought that you were still
referring to the IP address.
-//
Yep, user JoeThGreat can vote just once for BOTH the hosts: Hosta.com and
Hostb.com, if he tries to vote more than once for any of the hosts he will
get a sweet message :-)

And an ending message to curt:
//- Heyy dude -//

hehehe.

cheers,
-Ryan

2003-09-16 Thread Ryan A

Hiya everyone,

We are creating a voteing/rateing script for BestWebHosters.com (a
webhosting index) which will be opened in the next few days, Its filled with
loads of features for the visitor and the webhost but it just wouldnt be
complete with this.

So far we have come up with these points which the client will rate on a
scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the best)

Support knowledge
Support Time
support behaviour
Overall Support
Features
Uptime
Value for money
We are also thinking of letting the client leave a small comment...upto 100
chars

Voteing will be allowed only to clients who register and confirm their email
addresses, plus only 1 vote per IP and we will be using cookies + other
security features...to keep things fair. Any suggestions there too will be
appreciated.

Now our question is:
Would you like any other features/points to be voted on or taken off from
the above list?

And you thought your opinion does not matter :-D

Cheers,
-Ryan A.
