[SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze and WOL
I have a smal Q: Are Softsqueeze capable of Wake on lan ? can it send magick packages to your server, if not how do i file a feature request ? I tried the same, things as you do with your real box, nothing happens. I'm running this on Ubuntu 7.10 could it be some kind of linux issue ? On the other hand etherwake works just fine, so thats a good workaround for now. -- Mnyb Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45176 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANN: Instant SqueezeCenter
Fletch;282462 Wrote: Announcing Instant SqueezeCenter Instant SqueezeCenter is a single CD that will perform a fully automated installation and configuration of a standalone Linux SqueezeCenter server with minimal user input. The target user is someone who wants a dedicated (probably headless) server to store music and run SqueezeCenter. It should also be useful for dedicated VM installations. Advanced linux knowledge is not necessary. The intention is to be as turnkey as possible. When booted, the CD will automatically do the dollowing: * Format your hard disk(s) and install a trimmed-down copy of CentOS 5 Linux * Install SqueezeCenter along with mplayer, lame and AlienBBC (for RTSP and WM) * Configure music and playlist folders that can be accessed as Windows shares * Configure the server to automatically synchronize with public time servers * Configure the firewall and SELinux for proper operation * Enable preliminary support for auto-mounting USB drives under the music folder * Enable automatic updates of all Linux and SqueezeCenter packages For download and instructions see http://www.miksis.com/slimdevices/Instant-SC/. The torrent will initially be fairly slow so please be patient. Thanks to those who tested the beta. I apologize for the lack of an automated upgrade path... High speed torrent server activated... enjoy and I'll seed for 3 months. -- zenjabba zenjabba's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2779 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45161 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] PocketSqueeze: Preview release now available
I've upgraded my NAS to SC7 so I thought I'd have a look at doing the database download via CLI in PocketSqueeze itself. I've hit a problem - it's incredibly slow! Its taking minutes just to get the list of tracks (just title and id tags). I know my server is very slow and low on memory but the same thing takes a couple of seconds using MySQL. Any ideas why the CLI is so slow? My guess is its either doing a sort or some joins that I don't need. -- shawkie shawkie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3751 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44558 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

The instruction area little outdated, but the PowerCtrl is ok. http://adrianonline.wordpress.com/projects/squeezebox/ There is no slimserver anymore since 7 left beta. substitute with squeezecenter, maybe other smal adjustments are needed in your linux distro. -- Mnyb Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41992 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Plugins for rating and smart playlists using SQL
Edub;282804 Wrote: I'd like to build a dynamic playlist via albums for the podcasts I subscribe to titled sport, and I just don't have the knowledge about SQL nor what the columns are to effectively query the database. I'm unable to use the nice, built-in tools in the Slimserver web interface and build the playlist via artists because BBC 5 Live produces two podcasts I listen to, 5 live Football Daily and Mark Kermmode's Film Reviews, obviously only one would fall under sport. I don't really use podcasts myself, so I'm not sure I understand what you like to do. Are the podcasts tagged with a genre=sport or how to you know a podcast is sport related ? Should the sport podcasts in the playlist be played in a specific order ? Are new podcasts downloaded every night and added to SlimServer and you like to add them to the playlist automatically as soon as they have been downloaded ? Edub;282804 Wrote: P.S. Knowing that these playlists are quite small, is there another forum or location where users could upload different playlist templates? There is a built-in publish/download functionality in SQL Playlist where users can publish playlist so other users can download them. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20533 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
