Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify

2009-02-01 Thread bpa

Lasse,

That looks like wavin:0 should work. Perhaps you could try Siduhe's
suggestion as Spotify looks to be messing with audio at srtaup.
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=388864postcount=4

BigTony,

WaveInput is doing what it is supposed to do - relay audio exactly as
from Windows mixer. This also enables user to control audio levels from
PC to SC. Problem is that many PC/Laptops have cut costs and no longer
have true analog controls on speaker amp and use digital control via
Windows control panel. Another user suggested plugging in headphones
as a way to mute the PC speakers.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze Sirius

2009-02-01 Thread patrad

Ok, I've been searching for about an hour now. I have this problem and
I know I'm not alone.

Sirius works great with hardware players but will not work with
SoftSqueeze. (looks like it's playing buy no sound) From what I can
tell it's because Siruis outputs a WMA stream that my client running
SoftSqueeze cannot decode.

It looks like there is an 83 page post that the answer may be in there
somewhere, but I can't find it and I'm sick of looking through it.

So, for an XP box running SoftSqueeze 3.7, and another XP box running
SC 7.3.2, how can I get this to work?

I'm assuming/hoping there is a simple plug-in I need to install on the
client to aid in decoding. . .

Thanks!

I don't know it is. I've searched every control panel and application

I'll keep searching for a solution.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl

2009-02-01 Thread aubuti

I've searched through this thread and haven't found the answer to this
-- sorry if I've overlooked something. The problem is that after
suspending to SN, I can't figure out how to wake up my server using an
SB Controller. I try changing the Music Source to my SC server, but
that doesn't seem to send the WOL packet to nudge the machine awake, so
the SBC won't switch sources.

Waking up from suspend-to-SN is fine with the IR remotes and Boom
controls. If I wake it up from the IR remote, then the SBC switches
over to SC automagically. And waking up from a simple suspend (no SN)
works with all devices, including the SBC. I tried the clever idea of
using the RetroBrowser in the SBC, but only ended up hanging the
RetroBrowser

So it's just sending the WOL from a SN-connected SBC that's got me
stumped for now. Any guidance most appreciated! Thanks again for a
great plugin.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Lyrics plugin on controller

2009-02-01 Thread ghan

The applet is working on my controller. But you only seem to get the
Lyrics option in the track details screen when that track has lyrics in
the ID3v2 tag). So you don't get on-the-fly lookup on lyrdb, as it does
in the squeezecenter web-interface (and where it works great, too).

I installed it using the extension downloader from
http://open-net.vm.bytemark.co.uk/lyrics_repo.xml
Installed it in squeezecenter and restarted squeezecenter. Now it works
in the web interface. To use it on the controller, on the controller
main menu go into Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer.
There you should see an entry like 'Display Lyrics [0.3]'
Select the checkbox next to it and choose Install. Your controller will
reboot and after that, find a track with lyrics in the tag, and go into
the track details screen. There you should now have a Lyrics option.

Good luck

This is a standard SC feature that has nothing to do with the Lyrics
plugin or applet.

I haven't installed it lately because I have lyrics stored in my files,
but when I did have it installed, it was accessed through the Extras
menu on the Controller, not track details. If you have Lyrics under
track details it is because they are in the file tags.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

Here's a funny thing, couldn't see why the temperatures from my local
Wunderground station were so far out, turns out it reports degrees
centigrade then SDT converts into centigrade as though it was
Fahrenheit.

Easy fix, configure SDT to show the Fahrenheit value (%e) knowing it'll
be centigrade.

Thought I'd mention it in case anyone else is confused like I was!

A code fix would involve checking the header line returned by
Wunderground which has TemperatureC as the header for that column...

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeScrobbler 1.2.2 not working in SqueezeCenter 7.3.2

2009-02-01 Thread cramcram

Unfortunately the SqueezeScrobbler 1.2.2 plugin does not work on
Squeezecenter 7.3.2 for me. I'm using a Synology Diskstation DS-207+
with SSODS 3.15. The scrobbling part of the plugin works just fine, but
the plugin doesn't play any music. It seems that the plugin doesn't
receive any music or cover information.

It doesn't make any difference whether I install the plugin manually in
the plugin directory or via the extension downloader.

The server.log just repeatedly says the following:

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Server beeping, while MusicIP validates library - is this normal?

Sounds like your system might be getting (too) hot. Some motherboards
issue an audible alarm if the onboard temperature gets too high. I
assume that the MusicIP analysis is CPU-intensive, so it'd be more
likely to drive the system temperature up.
