Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomScan & iTunes Import Problem
According to my notes, I did some correction related to "&", "[", "]" and "'" characters in the TrackStat 2.9 release which I suspect is related to this. Unfortunately the last version that works with SBS 7.3.x and earlier is 2.8. So the bad news is that this won't be corrected in a version compatible with 7.3 but good news is that hopefully this should work when you upgrade to SBS 7.4 so you will be able to use the latest 2.10 version of TrackStat. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75904 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I just wondered if there is a reason for not having a server context menu, like the player context menu, with info and settings related to the server. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
Meh. So I moved all my CLI queries to Json, yet today I had another occurrence of players not completely disconnecting from mySB... Changed my code to give the local status priority, and also in case a player is declared by the SBS server on both sides (mySB, SC) for more than a few minutes, I now send it back to mySB and try again switching to SC, automatically. I hope this will kill the issue. I know I am probably be the only one seeing this. However, since everything is wired in my setup and the DSL connection quite reliable, I feel like there is a software issue somewhere. (I have a 2nd server in the network, that I use very rarely. In the midst of manual disconnections from mySB, I saw the players go back to the wrong server this morning. I don't know if the 2 phenomena are related.) -- epoch1970 Daily dose delivered by: 2 SB Classic (fw 130), 1 SB Boom (fw 50) SqueezeCenter 7.3.4 (Debian 5.0) with plugins: ContextMenu, SaverSwitcher by Peter Watkins Server Power Control by Gordon Harris WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) FindArt, CDplayer by bpa BBC iPlayer, SwitchPlayer by Triode PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple TrackStat by Erland Isaksson. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeIR - A Generic Infra-Red Remote Control Applet for the Duet's SBC
I'd like to use the Duet controller to send IR commands to my stereo, but since line of sight isn't very good for me, I was hoping to send IR commands over ethernet to something like an IRTrans (http://www.irtrans.com/en/technicalinfo/lan.php), which would then do the actual transmission of the command. [SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomScan & iTunes Import Problem
I just want to say that erland's plugins make my squeezebox life so much better so thanks a lot for the work you do. I'm having an issue with Play Count/Rating/LTP being not updated for certain tracks and I think it has to do with special characters such as &. There was another thread on this but as that one focus on Linux machines and I'm on a Mac I decided to start another. I use iTunes Update to update my iTunes library from SC, then use CustomScan to bring data back into SC. My iTunes stats and SC stats should match each other exactly after a rescan, which happens nightly. I played a Dynamic playlist of Never Played Songs and the playcounts are all 1 after being played in SC but many songs have play counts of 2 or 3 in iTunes. So far all of these songs have an "&" or ":" or some other special character somewhere in the filename, either artist or album or title. I've attached shots of TrackStat and iTunes showing the offending songs and stats. Some songs with "&" work fine, when I use TrackStat to view by Most Played, the data matches fine with iTunes for songs that contain "&", etc. So I'm a bit confused as some play counts are not being imported. I've had trouble with special characters before in 7.4.x so I'm still running 7.3.4. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer plugin behaviour when AAC stream unavailable
I'm not sure how the BBCiPlayer logic works, but might it be better to switch AAC and WMA in the setup? - so "use Flash AAC" becomes "use WMA" and "prefer WMA" becomes "prefer Flash AAC". WMA seems to be a more reliable default stream as it synchronises better between Squeezebox devices, and is more widely used across the BBC stations (eg World Service). I guess its a trade-off between users that want a default that prioritises quality versus those that want reliability. In my family, it is a no-brainer - reliability (and simplicity) comes first, otherwise my toys end-up in the shed with me. -- majones majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75880 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] CDplayer - Error loading CDplayer No CD in drive
The CDDA2WAV application works on Linux, OSX and Windows so some of its text output is misleading. CDDA2WAV does scan for devices IDE interfaces (aka AT interface) as well as USB and SATA. If your CD device does not show up on "scanbus" then there is something strange/special with your system.
