Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I really like the plugin. Squeezebox and Spotify are a great combination. The plug in works great for me (Windows Vista Premium, Squeezebox Touch and Boom). Functionality that could be added is playing the radio stations of Spotify. Normally I connect to my NAS (Netgear Readynas Duo) to play music, it would be great if in future NASses would be supported. -- Rocdefrost Rocdefrost's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34916 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

While this is NOT the most common port to use it needs to be open for server discovery anyway so it's usually a good choice. Your router needs to allow broadcasts on that port and it needs to distribute them across the network. This usually is an issue if you have a combined WiFi and ethernet network and you use a different subnet range for the two, e.g. if WiFi is on 192.168.0.x and ethernet on 192.168.1.x while the respective subnet masks are set to 255.255.255.0. While the router can route directed traffic in this setup broadcasts will not get through. Thanks for the quick response pippin. My router is configured with a single subnet range, i.e. 192.168.1.x. I will use the D-Link forum to figure out how to further validate that port 3483 is properly open as I do not know how to this with the DSL-2740r that I am using. -- russelc russelc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37254 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Guy48065;558194 Wrote: Baby steps... XM may be the cause of my problems. I tried but failed to logon online. A call to CS revealed they did this to block my access to force me to call CS to clear a radio ID question! Cleared that hurdle so now I can log in to my account *online*. But I still get a Failed to log in to XM.com...incorrect username or password. I've re-entered this info several times, shutdown/restarted the server, restarted the pc, turned off/unplugged the SBC. No change. I can access my library internet stations but just can't log on XM. Man this is frustrating... This doesn't sound like a SB problem (i.e., restarting the server, etc.). I'm assuming that under internet radio you see the XM Radio menu option, and when you open it, you can browse by station, genre, etc. It is just when you actually try to play a station, SbS tells you incorrect user name/password. I would guess that this is truly the issue. I could be wrong as it has been a while since I set mine up, but I'm pretty sure that I had to have a special XM RADIO ONLINE account to listen to XM RADIO via the internet. And it seems that my login for this extra was not necessarily the same as my XMRADIO regular account login. If I go to Xmradio.com and ask to listen online, it takes me to a page that asks me to signin to xmradio online with a note below the signin area that reads I'm an XM subscriber, but I don't have an XM Radio Online account yet. So I must be right about what I recall on this. Are you sure you have the XM RADIO ONLINE account (not just xmradio account for your actual XM players) and are you using the XM RADIO ONLINE account credentials to login. Mine is my email adddress as userID, then a password. Can you login and listen online at xmradio.com? And I checked this morning, and my XM radio is streaming via my SbS, so that seems to be working in general. Bottom line, I know you've done this, but triple check that you are entering the correct xmradio online account credentials at the xmradio plugin settings page. And make sure you hit apply at the bottom right hand corner of the plugin settings page after you enter the xmradio login credentials. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79957 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SbS keeps prompting for a plugin update
Hi folks, I did a software upgrade of my server which required a clean install of the system, hence a reinstall of Squeezebox Server. I kept my prefs so I didn't have to do to much reconfiguring, but now Squeezebox Server is confused about one plugin. It keeps telling me Reset Volume by Eric Koldinger needs updating, but every time I check the box to update and restart, it doesn't do anything. If I check the box and apply, I get the prompt to restart the server now or later, I click now, and nothing happens. The server doesn't even stop. If I manually restart SbS, the plugin doesn't update and I still get the message about a plugin needing to be updated. I also tried checking the automatic updates box, and after restarting the server, that didn't do anything either. So I'm stuck--I can't update the plugin and I can't remove the plug-in (since it's not really installed). I don't have a need for this plugin anymore, but I don't know how to make Squeezebox Server stop prompting me to update it. Thanks again triode what a great plug-in. And now that u can synchronize players its a real killer app. Thanks thanks thanks :). I have one issue though. Shuffle songs isnt working so good. If I have shuffle songs enable when I start to play a playlist it is not shuffled when I it start to play. If I then disable shuffle and enable it again it shuffle the songs. But it is shuffle the songs real bad and it seems that it only shuffle like 3 artist at a time. Am I doing something wrong or is there a solution to this? This is a strange bug. Whenever I play one on the playlists I made myself the tracks get scrobbled and can be seen on my Last.fm account. I used to listen online with XaMp Desktop (3rd part app for PC) but it just quit working one day I couldn't find out why (poor support of the app, no communication from XM). With what I've learned the past 2 days I guess it quit when XM started requiring registering money (change to my subscription) for the access. So anyways...Called CS to add the online service (couldn't find the clicky to add it, despite the instruction page (below)). Signed up at $2.99/mo for the ability to listen online OR my car (not both at same time) and now the plugin works. Also found out you don't need an XM radio to get the online service. [SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds plugin - potential problem with SBS?
This only concerns users of the plugin that is installed via the Plugins folder, and not just via the App Gallery on MSB. This RadioFeeds should add an item to the Internet Radio section of the menu. However, loading up item seems to point to the MSB version of RadioFeeds, (i.e. AAC+ stations are not shown), rather than the SBS version. Another way of telling is that the title displayed clearly says RadioFeeds for mysqueezebox, when it is loaded.
