Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

Tried tcuttings plugin:

Sunrise and sunset work now correctly, with sunset shown as 16:02 after
I eliminated - 12 and PM in line 3272 and AM in line 3268.
Space in windspeed direction works.
Changes in near-term forecasts I have to try yet.

Thanks a lot, everything I need seems to work in SDT again. Now is the
time for new features.

BTW: I prefer the weather from Wunderground, because there is a very
precise astronomical station only 1 km away from my place in Vienna. So
I am very happy with the API-key and this plugin.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2014-12-03 Thread bluebell

It seems I messed it all up. LMS 7.8.0 on Xubuntu 12.04.
Worked well with SDT since weather.com messed it up.
To have a clean start I unchecked SDT in the web interface, restarted
LMS and checked SDT again.

But now I can't enter the wunderground station ID in the configuration
dialog of the web interface. Under the field for the weather.com station
ID there appeared another input field, unlabeled. Source code is:

input type=text class=stdedit name=wunder_apikey
id=wunder_apikey value= size=15

The input field for the wunderground station ID that used to be in a
separate section vanished.

1.) What's this wunder_apikey and how can I fix my LMS?
2.) Is there an official way how to install tcutting's
SuperDateTime_5_10_2.zip?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)

2014-12-03 Thread Teetertank

Hi, thank you for the good work gone into developing this system.

I purchased an Oroid specifically so I could use the Max2play software.
I’m a Linux noob and thought it would make things easy for me. It mostly
has, but I’m stuck on getting a USB drive to work with it.
So far, I flashed an SD card, installed the operating system, expanded,
updated etc. and downloaded 7.9 version of Squeezeserver. But I can’t
get the USB drive to work with LMS/Odroid. It’s a 1TB 2.5” USB drive,
connected directly with USB cable and powered from the Droid.

I tried using the Fix USB button on the web interface but it didn’t seem
to do anything, so I tried on the ‘Filesystem - mount network paths’
tab.

Mountpoint: * //192.168.0.7/*
Path:* /mnt/mountdir/*
Type: *cifs*
Options: *user=name,password=pass,sec=ntlm,iocharset=utf8*

I’ve probably got a number of things that need correcting, but please
could someone advise what I need to input here, or another better way to
connect a USB drive if possible?

• If the Odroid is on IP address 192.168.0.7, in the Mountpoint - do I
need anything after: //192.168.0.7/???
• Will /mnt/mountdir/ work as the path if I used the USB drive
previously on Squeezeplug on a Pi?
• What do I need to enter for the ‘Options’? is there a password that is
expected? Is it the one for Linux? For LMS? Other private?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks,

Hi!

Thanks.

I use wunderground as preferred source and the JSON updated SDT posted
in this thread.
In the version I started to work with there was no C temp and no m/s for
windspeed so I had to add that myself. Looks like that is in the latest
version. Furthermore it only had the full weekday names so I changed to
use the short one instead.
When it comes to changing the language it will be a bit harder. As far
as I can see there are no support in the code for this and all JSON
responses are in English. It's doable but it's a far cry for easy to do.

I'm in much the same boat as you, but I did get this far, so maybe I can
help?

When you plug in the USB drive, it won't give you any visual indication
that it's attached. If you want to find it, go into the LMS settings
for scanning your music. When you choose your library, drill down to
the media folder, and it should be found under one of the USB drives
listed in there. As a default, you may be able to select the media
folder as you directory of choice, and perhaps LMS will scan downhill
from there. I don't know for sure, as I was able to find my drive and
music directory and point the scanner directly to it.

Before I get to this however, I need to try to understand why the

Thanks for the reply Jason,

Logitec Media Server did indeed find the USB drive without me needing to
mount it in Max2play. It had found my files while I was at work - I came
home and they had been discovered overnight. Before, I could see the
folder where the music was stored but nothing found when I set the path.
Maybe I was too impatient.

Early days, but very pleased with the responsiveness of the system
compared to Raspberry Pi. Interface is more snappy and songs cue with
almost non-existent lag..

I'd still like to understand how to mount the USB drive though, so I can
access it remotely from outside the house, not just on local network.

Thanks once again for all efforts on development and to enable even a
novice to get this up and running.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Queuing spotify tracks/playlists via LMS CLI (Triode plugin)

2014-12-03 Thread whymse

Hi all,

I would like to be able to programatically play albums or (ideally)
spotify playlists via the CLI on my players.

If I navigate the LMS webpage and select the Spotify app (triode
plugin) then I can see via more info that an album has a URL like: URL:
spotify:album:7jfkffCqKYEJmIgGOIJ9me
If I try something like
Code:

e8:4e:06:0b:75:a6 playlistcontrol cmd:add
spotify:album:7jfkffCqKYEJmIgGOIJ9me

 then it just hangs.
I can do
Code:

e8:4e:06:0b:75:a6 playlistcontrol cmd:add genre_id:9 count:33

from some online examples, so I know my CLI is working and I can add to
playlists.

I would love to be able to leverage the CLI to play different defined
playlists via pylms calls, but I just can't figure out how to enqueue
the spotify assets from triode.

Thanks very much in advance!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Queuing spotify tracks/playlists via LMS CLI (Triode plugin)

2014-12-03 Thread Michael Herger

 e8:4e:06:0b:75:a6 playlistcontrol cmd:add
spotify:album:7jfkffCqKYEJmIgGOIJ9me

The documentation says:

The playlistcontrol command enables playlist operations using IDs as
returned by extended CLI queries (titles, artists, playlists, etc)..

Use playlist add instead:

The playlist add command adds the specified song URL, playlist or
directory contents to the end of the current playlist. Songs currently
playing or already on the playlist are not affected.

You should be able to add the kind of url you mentioned.
