If your streaming via AirPlay, why not just sync via AirPlay to all your SqueezeLite instances and update LMS what each device is playing? To me what you're saying adds extra steps. Why does LMS have to sync the instances. Taking a quick look at the Omni manual it looks as if if you can play LMS music on your tablet/mobile you can get the HK app to send it out via wi-fi, or connect a tablet via bluetooth, but I'm not up to speed with that way of doing things. There are a number of ways of playing music from LMS on tablets/mobiles (including software UPnP renderers), but I would first try squeezelite on a tablet/pc, or SB Player on Android. I'm sure there are Apple device equivalents. So, find a way to get LMS playing on the device with your controller and the rest should be relatively straightforward. Thanks a lot for the ShairTunes2 plugin, it's great! I tried the interim solutions a couple of years ago and gave up as it was terrible, this works much better. But we do need sync --- my main case is two Squeezebox radios configured in a room as a sync group with left and right channels to play in stereo. This works (reasonably) fine for ordinary music and all other plugins I've come across except ShairTunes2, which will only let me play through one side. Another feature (sorry) that would be useful would be to disable airtunes on some players. For example, if there is a sync group, we only need to advertise one of the players. Also some clients (e.g. the joggler with Squeezebox OS) may already have a native shairplay running directly on the device.
