is playing PCM, with Asset it says FLAC. I think this is the problem.
The Marantz will accept FLAC at 96khz but not PCM via the network
connection. Why does LMS/Bridge seem to be transcoding?
1. Make sure that the LMS file type setting for flac is set to allow
flac to be 'native' (see 'Settings', 'Advanced', 'File Types') - this
prevents any transcoding in LMS providing the device supports flac
2. Make sure you include flc as the first codec for your Marantz in the
UPnP/DLNA bridge configuration (the bridge does not do any transcoding
itself but does declare the supported types to LMS).

It should all work if both the above are set.

I have just remembered that Triode also recommended using an unpowered
USB hub between some DACs and the SBT running EDO.

If you have such, it might be worth a try.

Can't find much info about the DAC (especially the USB) on the 'net.

Seems to have been liked by most people though.

Good Luck

Is this advice may be replaced by more shorter USB cable? Now I use 1m

I don't think a shorter cable is really necessary, perhaps try the
passive USB hub first (power everything down, connect the SBT and power
it up, then the DAC and power it up. Also try try connecting the Dac to
the hub first and power up the DAC then connect the SBT and power it
up).

Then the reinstall if it makes no difference.

I would only consider changing the cable if I was certain it would make
an improvement.

Any cable should be fine to set it up with.

When it connects, what message do you get on the SBT screen? Name of DAC
and bit rates on the info?

Do you have access to another USB dac you could use to try and see if
the behaviour is replicated?

If it at fails then just leave it switched on or put up with
inconvenience:p

Well maybe the best thing is to keep EDO on the Touch and Select Digital
output and use either a co-ax or optical cable to the DAC.

I'm out of ideas, if it uses a XMOS usb then it should connect without a
problem.

Sorry if that does not help.
