Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
mphearn wrote: > Sorry to be to ignorant but I don't know how to access the BBCiPlayer > plugin directory. Presumably it is lurking somewhere in my NAS? mp, you will need to use (windows computer) WnSCP to access the file on the nas. First start the LMS on the nas and go to the Settings page and click on the Information tab. You will see the IP address of the LMS install on the Nas (copy and save that somewhere). Scroll down the page and you will see the Pathway to the Plugins folder, also copy and save that. Download the Parser file to your Desktop. Stop LMS. Start WinSCP fill in the IP address of the LMS and the user and password, select SCP in the protocol box IP goes in the Host name box. You will get a Window with two panes, on the left hand pane, navigate to Desktop and scroll until you find the Parser file. In the left hand pane, navigate to the BBCiPlayer Plugin and open it. Rename the listed Parser file by adding "Old" to the front of the file name. Drag the new Parser file across from the left to the right. You might have to click save (I have not used my qnap nas as LMS server for a long time, so my memory might be a bit faulty). On your way out of the BBCiPlayer plugin, left click the blue arrow at the top until you come to the Cache folder, scroll down and delete the file cache.db. Exit WinSCP and restart LMS. This is a bit quick and dirt "how to" but I hope it will help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hello, First of all, many thanks to the designers that provide this excellent plugin, which I've been using for years now, although not very often. I have a basic Qobuz subscription, with which I could stream complete tracks of any album from Qobuz site via my Synology NAS (LMS run from the NAS). However, I noticed recently that I could no longer stream complete tracks but only 30-second clips (except of course for the tracks I had bought) with LMS and the Qobuz plugin, while I can still listen to full albums iin Qobuz desktop. Has Qobuz changed something in this respect, and has anybody an idea of where the problem is located ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
^^ OK! Thanks for the help. Seems the code/ID I was using was no longer valid. I'ver change to another and I'm at least getting some results now (IHIGHWYC2). However, the display seemed different. Indeed I'm sure the layout strings for the superdatetime value were different or have changed? eg: It was displaying F instead of C for temps? When trying to display "high/low" (%Z) if only displays something line "HIGH 13°", which is odd given it shows the current temperature as 16°! This is explained down below in (*1) Also if I move forwards to days ahead (it offers me SUN, MON, TUE, WED), the time stops being displayed on the information. ie: The display is different yet again. After looking at a screenshot of what was my old settings I think the display config was changed. It had seeminging been changed to:- Code: Icon3-Line Line 1 & 2 On On %y: %v %z %t/%h %1 RAIN %x Line 1 format string (display 2): %s - %S Line 2 format string (display 2): %f %a(%c %g) (*1) Note it's showing the feels like temp instead of actual temp, hence why you get the odd result of today's high being lower than the temp it showing. My old setting, which I've now returned it to:- Code: Icon3-Line Line 1 & 2 On On %y %v %Z TEMP %T %1 Line 1 format string (display 2): %s - %S Line 2 format string (display 2): %f %a(%c %g) As a final comment on the days display (SUN, MON, TUE, WED) the time still is not shown? shuttle sn45g, athlon 3200+, 1024mb, xp pro (sp2), speedtouch780, squeeze box 3 slimserver version:7.4.1 - r28947 - operating system:windows xp - en - cp1252 - mysql version: 5.0.22-community-nt NeilF's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13059 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi, It's very strange, because I think it worked for me until I did an upgrade some days ago. Now, I not sure about Lyrics but I was sure about LAST FM info that comes from the same Plugin. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
You need to download the utgg modified BBCXMLParser.pm script. It is referenced on this thread at about page 407. When downloaded, you copy the thread to the Plug-ins folder relevant to your installation - if you are UNIX based it'll likely be something like /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/BBCiPlayer. You will know if you have the right place because there will already be a BBCXMLParser.pm in there. Knocking out cache.db from the like /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache directory might also help. And what exactly dictates the format of the > display. Because it does seem to be different? In my version, I never really changed the way the displays worked, especially with the older players (SB2/3, Boom, etc.) - honestly never spent the time to understand all the details :-) Therefore, nothing significant should have changed. In moving to wunderground, there are some fields which are duplicate (I believe) since the data ONLY comes from wunderground (where before there were fields specific to wunderground vs. weather.com). I did, however, add some NEW fields based on additional data which was added (moon set/rise, moon phase). Some of the issues you are seeing may be the way the particular weather station is reporting the information. You might try pointing to a different weather station. When you say wunderground.com's website - are you accessing the same weather station from the website which you have selected in SDT? Also, from Midnight to early AM, I have to save the predicted nighttime low temperature from the last pre-midnight query, since after midnight, the predicted low is for the NEXT night - that can lead to actual low being lower than predicted low. You might try the earlier suggestion of running the wunderground.com call from a web browser (see my previous post) and seeing what it returns - the json data is pretty easy to figure out, and you might see something there. tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Two synced players works but adding more causes problems, I think it's an issue with Spotify. I miss the old days when I could stream Rhapsody, I didn't have these issues. However I do like having the new interface with Spotify. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
HI First thanks to those who have helped on this topic, including back in March. I am running LMS on a Synology DS414 NAS. Using this forum amongst others, last March I successfully updated the BBCXMLParser.pm file on the NAS and BBCiPlayer has worked until this recent change Today I downloaded the uttgg file and uploaded that onto the NAS, replacing the .pm file I've used for the last 6 months (no patches etc). Ive also deleted the cache.db file when the LMS was running. (No cache file when LMS is stopped) But, I still cannot get the system to work, but get an error message saying that there is nothing in the playlist Does anyone have any suggestions? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Well it's got to be some sort of hardware issue with my network or something on my ISP side. I'm streaming Spotify on 4 players, 3 Receivers and a RPi this morning with no issues but last night I couldn't get it to stream consistently on two players. So as far as the software and players I'd say it's working good; I've got a great UI with Spotify on all my players and it streams to all of my players. So my thought is that I must be dropping the WiFi signal to one of the pla8 and it's causing the pausing as the players resync. But I can't figure out why it would skip tracks. I'll have to play around with some different setups and see if I can isolate the problem. The closest you'll get is Sonos. But you'll probably end up installing the sq2upnp bridge plugin to get back to LMS. I only just noticed that Listen Again is not working and find I am a bit late to the party. It looks like there is a fix but there are a lot of posts now and I'm not sure I have been able to glean from the threads here exactly what I need to do. In case it makes any difference I'm running a Raspberry Pi (old model) with Squeezeplug. My LMS version is 7.8.1. When things went awry earlier in the year I seem to recall that the fix involved editing BBCXMLParser.pm and replacing the ffmpeg executable. Also, I have a zip file on my PC containing menu.opml dating from around the right time, so I suspect I replaced that on the Pi too though to be honest I don't remember what I did. I recall that there was an alternative fix at the time involving a new plugin version from Triode but I did not follow that fix. I found the recent post from utgg with a modified BBCXMLParser.xml but I think something I have read in this thread suggests that the new plugin might also be needed for the current fix. Is that correct? And, if so, that raises a couple of questions for me: how exactly do I install that plugin; and do I need to back out any of the changes I made earlier in the year? Ongeldige opslagruimte http://www.mysqueezebox.com/public/plugins/logitech.xml - Connect timed out: De aangevraagde naam is geldig, maar er zijn geen gegevens van het aangevraagde type gevonden. This usually means your LMS has a problem reaching out to the internet. Try to restart it, make sure you don't have a firewall blocking etc. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

My web space requirement for LMS plugin repository is tiny. Thanks for the offer, but I need to sort something out soon anyway for more than just this plugin. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
It's a mix of wired/wireless. I'm transitioning to wired but I still get the issue with wired players. I'm wondering if some of the Receivers are really wired because it isn't the easiest thing to switch them. I am leaning towards a bandwidth issue because I'm streaming at the highest rate. Although I don't want to I'll probably lower the setting and see if it helps. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Song Info & Song Lyrics plugins - Status? Dead?
Hi, In fact there are three different info : 1) in the Squeezebox setting page it is written "Data provider: chartlyrics.com" 2) On the download page 'http://downloads.isaksson.info/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-songlyrics) "All lyrics are provided by lyricsfly.com, so support their service if you like this plugin." 3) while on the wiki (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Song_Lyrics_plugin) : All lyrics shown through this plugin is primarily provided by http://musixmatch.com So, I think Erland changed the provider and one of it might work ;-) If you can try Erland Plugin SongInfo+Song Lyrics, and confirm me the result. In my case, menu LastFM+Lyrucs are no more visible in my Android application "Squeeze commander". So, I think that this is not same issue. It could be linked to my system and I will try on another system like a RaspberryPi.
