More details.
Platform ?
What version of plugin did you have installed ?
Have you kept up to date with patches ?

In the Listen Agin list of program - did you get a list of programs ?
Are they up to date (e.g. can you see the shipping forecast for
1/11/15)? Are they playable (i.e.do they have play icons on RHS) ?

I believe that the BASIC subscription (5€/month) now allows only

mp, you will need to use (windows computer) WnSCP to access the file on
the nas.

First start the LMS on the nas and go to the Settings page and click on
the Information tab.

You will see the IP address of the LMS install on the Nas (copy and save
that somewhere).

Scroll down the page and you will see the Pathway to the Plugins folder,
also copy and save that.

Download the Parser file to your Desktop.

Stop LMS.

Start WinSCP fill in the IP address of the LMS and the user and
password, select SCP in the protocol box IP goes in the Host name box.

You will get a Window with two panes, on the left hand pane, navigate to
Desktop and scroll until you find the Parser file.

In the left hand pane, navigate to the BBCiPlayer Plugin and open it.

Rename the listed Parser file by adding "Old" to the front of the file
name.

Drag the new Parser file across from the left to the right. You might
have to click save (I have not used my qnap nas as LMS server for a long
time, so my memory might be a bit faulty).

On your way out of the BBCiPlayer plugin, left click the blue arrow at
the top until you come to the Cache folder, scroll down and delete the
file cache.db.

Exit WinSCP and restart LMS.

This is a bit quick and dirt "how to" but I hope it will help.

2015-11-01 Thread aldo64

Hello,
First of all, many thanks to the designers that provide this excellent
plugin, which I've been using for years now, although not very often.
I have a basic Qobuz subscription, with which I could stream complete
tracks of any album from Qobuz site via my Synology NAS (LMS run from
the NAS).
However, I noticed recently that I could no longer stream complete
tracks but only 30-second clips (except of course for the tracks I had
bought) with LMS and the Qobuz plugin, while I can still listen to full
albums iin Qobuz desktop.
Has Qobuz changed something in this respect, and has anybody an idea of
where the problem is located ?
Thanks in advance for your support

You need to add the repository
http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml and install
BBCiPlayer (v1.3.1alpha3) before applying any patches.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2015-11-01 Thread NeilF

^^

OK! Thanks for the help. Seems the code/ID I was using was no longer
valid. I'ver change to another and I'm at least getting some results now
(IHIGHWYC2).

However, the display seemed different. Indeed I'm sure the layout
strings for the superdatetime value were different or have changed? eg:
It was displaying F instead of C for temps?

When trying to display "high/low" (%Z) if only displays something line
"HIGH 13°", which is odd given it shows the current temperature as 16°!
This is explained down below in (*1)

Also if I move forwards to days ahead (it offers me SUN, MON, TUE, WED),
the time stops being displayed on the information. ie: The display is
different yet again.

After looking at a screenshot of what was my old settings I think the
display config was changed.

It had seeminging been changed to:-

Code:

  Icon3-Line Line 1 & 2
  On On %y: %v
  %z %t/%h %1
  RAIN %x

  Line 1 format string (display 2): %s - %S
  Line 2 format string (display 2): %f %a(%c %g)

(*1) Note it's showing the feels like temp instead of actual temp, hence
why you get the odd result of today's high being lower than the temp it
showing.

My old setting, which I've now returned it to:-

Code:

  Icon3-Line Line 1 & 2
  On On %y %v %Z
  TEMP %T %1

  Line 1 format string (display 2): %s - %S
  Line 2 format string (display 2): %f %a(%c %g)

As a final comment on the days display (SUN, MON, TUE, WED) the time
still is not shown?

2015-11-01 Thread esa

Hi,

It's very strange, because I think it worked for me until I did an
upgrade some days ago.

Now, I not sure about Lyrics but I was sure about LAST FM info that
comes from the same Plugin. Can you confirm what I say?

Erland reported that MusicMatch Lyrics has stopped his free Lyrics
support.
On thi page MusicMatch is the provider of Lyrics
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Song_Lyrics_plugin
But it is another provider on this page
http://downloads.isaksson.info/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-songlyrics

So, I'm not sure if it doesn't work any more.

I was with LMS 7.9 and Perl 5.18.
Now, I'm with LMS 7.9 and perl 5.20.
Maybe it's the cause?

Can someone confirm that SongInfo works with LastFM and Lyrics?

In fact, I don't see the Lyrics menu in WebBrower and in SqueezCommander
and I don't see warning in server LOGs.

Squeezeplug platform, so it is running on Ubuntu Wheezy

Plugin is v1.2.14

Patching I don't actively pursue, as I subscribe to the 'If it ain't

integrations for a living. Everything is fragile, these days)

In LA, I have the Shipping Forecast for 05:20 today

I use SqueezeControl on Android for my main GUI, on the RHS I see either
a circle with a cross in, or nothing. I think that icon represents
'playability'; blank entries take you into a choice of episodes, which
then have that same icon.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2015-11-01 Thread ChaoticMike

You need to download the utgg modified BBCXMLParser.pm script. It is
referenced on this thread at about page 407. When downloaded, you copy
the thread to the Plug-ins folder relevant to your installation - if you
are UNIX based it'll likely be something like
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/BBCiPlayer.
You will know if you have the right place because there will already be
a BBCXMLParser.pm in there.

Knocking out cache.db from the like /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache
directory might also help.

HTH,

Until a couple of months ago I had Spotify Premium running on my SB

get these error messages in Dutch (for those who can read Dutch
obviously ;-) ):

Something like: invalid storage space, the requested name is valid but
there are no data available of the requested type.

I have reinstalled the Media Server 7.7.5 but interestingly enough there
are no 'third party plugins' visible on the plugin tab. Does anyone know
how I can get Spotify running again on my SB Classic? I t almost looks
like the SB Classic is no longer supported...

Just to clarify as it may help other users who are making similar
mistakes. How did you update the BBCXMLParser.pm file without knowing
where the plugin was located ?

Tried chrome and safari on 2 different macs. Same result. Fixed ip

Another issue that I have: when changing source from my receiver from

Any ideas what this causes?

Hi, fliepo, welcome to the forum (again:o).

which OS are you using for the LMS, perhaps a complete uninstall and
fresh install may get you started.

Happy with all that, but have no idea what user/password to use (on my

Paused the players, played an interenet radio stream for a short while,

So it does and should work, why it doesn't in your case I can't (sorry)

In my version, I never really changed the way the displays worked,
especially with the older players (SB2/3, Boom, etc.) - honestly never
spent the time to understand all the details :-)
Therefore, nothing significant should have changed. In moving to
wunderground, there are some fields which are duplicate (I believe)
since the data ONLY comes from wunderground (where before there were
fields specific to wunderground vs. weather.com). I did, however, add
some NEW fields based on additional data which was added (moon set/rise,
moon phase).
Some of the issues you are seeing may be the way the particular weather
station is reporting the information. You might try pointing to a
different weather station. When you say wunderground.com's website -
are you accessing the same weather station from the website which you
have selected in SDT?
Also, from Midnight to early AM, I have to save the predicted nighttime
low temperature from the last pre-midnight query, since after midnight,
the predicted low is for the NEXT night - that can lead to actual low
being lower than predicted low.
You might try the earlier suggestion of running the wunderground.com
call from a web browser (see my previous post) and seeing what it
returns - the json data is pretty easy to figure out, and you might see
something there.

Running LMS v7.9.0 on an Odroid u3 using Max2play.

Just synced a Radio and a Boom, using the new spotify (green) app, both
are playing.

Will try the Triode plugin later.

Two synced players works but adding more causes problems, I think it's
an issue with Spotify. I miss the old days when I could stream Rhapsody,
I didn't have these issues. However I do like having the new interface
with Spotify. It's cool having the option to choose Spotify players to
instead of just artist,tracks etc.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2015-11-01 Thread photop1

HI

First thanks to those who have helped on this topic, including back in
March. I am running LMS on a Synology DS414 NAS. Using this forum
amongst others, last March I successfully updated the BBCXMLParser.pm
file on the NAS and BBCiPlayer has worked until this recent change

Today I downloaded the uttgg file and uploaded that onto the NAS,
replacing the .pm file I've used for the last 6 months (no patches etc).
Ive also deleted the cache.db file when the LMS was running. (No cache
file when LMS is stopped)

But, I still cannot get the system to work, but get an error message
saying that there is nothing in the playlist

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I do not have a readyNAS myself but after googling I found these:

If you havent installed the "Enable Root SSH Access" add on then you
will first need to do this.

"Once installed, your root password will be identical to the password
you use for FrontView admin access. Please keep in mind that NETGEAR may
deny support if you’ve enabled root access."

http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24586

Please be REALLY carefull when using WinSCP or SSH access as you can
really screw up (possibly terminally) your NAS

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2015-11-01 Thread RSJ

Well it's got to be some sort of hardware issue with my network or
something on my ISP side. I'm streaming Spotify on 4 players, 3
Receivers and a RPi this morning with no issues but last night I
couldn't get it to stream consistently on two players. So as far as the
software and players I'd say it's working good; I've got a great UI
with Spotify on all my players and it streams to all of my players. So
my thought is that I must be dropping the WiFi signal to one of the pla8
and it's causing the pausing as the players resync. But I can't figure
out why it would skip tracks. I'll have to play around with some
different setups and see if I can isolate the problem.

There are apps for Android, fing is one and wi-fi-wireless and others
that let you determine which channels are the best and also show if your
neighbours are encroaching on you bandwidth.

Good luck with your search! I doubt you'll find anything equivalent
or anything which is so flexible. The closest you'll get is Sonos.
But you'll probably end up installing the sq2upnp bridge plugin to get
back to LMS. It took Sonos 9 months to get BBC hls working, and listen
again is still scheduled for 2016.

It's not really a poor situation - just politeness and indecision. No
decision has been made pending news about Triode and BBC was stready
state until recently which has now brought this indecision to surface.

Anyhow BBC is always changing so what is a long term solution- 3-6
months.

The fact that you use the phrase "all the patches" shows what a poor
situation we are in. Patches, patches and more patches. What we need is
a properly updated version of the plugin, not yet another patch. Patches
are OK for testing, but are not the solution for a long term reliable

I've reached the stage of looking around for an alternative system,
since it is clear LMS is slowly dropping out of support one plugin at a

Any thoughts anyone?

You need to change your existing BBCXMLParser.pm file for the one from
post #4058 here

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2015-11-01 Thread Zoltan

I only just noticed that Listen Again is not working and find I am a bit
late to the party. It looks like there is a fix but there are a lot of
posts now and I'm not sure I have been able to glean from the threads
here exactly what I need to do.

In case it makes any difference I'm running a Raspberry Pi (old model)
with Squeezeplug. My LMS version is 7.8.1. When things went awry
earlier in the year I seem to recall that the fix involved editing
BBCXMLParser.pm and replacing the ffmpeg executable. Also, I have a zip
file on my PC containing menu.opml dating from around the right time, so
I suspect I replaced that on the Pi too though to be honest I don't
remember what I did.

I recall that there was an alternative fix at the time involving a new
plugin version from Triode but I did not follow that fix. I found the
recent post from utgg with a modified BBCXMLParser.xml but I think
something I have read in this thread suggests that the new plugin might
also be needed for the current fix. Is that correct? And, if so, that
raises a couple of questions for me: how exactly do I install that
plugin; and do I need to back out any of the changes I made earlier in
the year?

If you uninstall BBCiPlayer and BBCiPlayerExtra (which should remove all
the patches you've done thus far) and do the steps in
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103435-BBCiPlayer-Plugins-an-alternative-quick-fix-guide
that should get you to a system that works except for Listen Again via
BBCiPlayer - BBCiPlayerExtra should work without any further changes.

Assuming you apply all the patches recommended there, the only
additional one is the patch to BBCXMLParser.pm at
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?53229-Announce-BBCiPlayer-Plugin-(UK-only)=834111=1#post834111
which fixes Listen Again in BBCiPlayer (for now at least).

2015-11-01 Thread Basa

I'd like to also add my thanks to this forum, and in particular bpa and
utgg, for all the useful info. My Listen again stopped working, and
after reading the info here (and spending a little while playing hunt
the directory on Windows Home Server) it all seems to be working again.
Note - in case it helps anyone, as in one of the other comments, I had
to delete cache.db in order to get it to work. Thanks.
Barry.

2015-11-01 Thread brookheather

On Windows I had to delete the cache.db file in this folder (you need to
first stop the LMS):

C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache

in addition to replacing the BBCXMLParser.pm file in this directory:

C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\BBCiPlayer

iPlayer Listen Again now working fine again...

You should be able to just replace the existing parser file with the new
one from utgg. you will also probably want to replace the menu.opml
file with the new one to get new icons

I'm in the realm of "haven't a fecking clue" when it comes to
this, but is everything wireless?

do you have a mix of wired and wireless?

it could just be a bandwidth thing:confused:

good luck anyway

This usually means your LMS has a problem reaching out to the internet.
Try to restart it, make sure you don't have a firewall blocking etc.

My web space requirement for LMS plugin repository is tiny. Thanks for the

2015-11-01 Thread RSJ

It's a mix of wired/wireless. I'm transitioning to wired but I still get
the issue with wired players. I'm wondering if some of the Receivers are
really wired because it isn't the easiest thing to switch them. I am
leaning towards a bandwidth issue because I'm streaming at the highest
rate. Although I don't want to I'll probably lower the setting and see
if it helps.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Song Info & Song Lyrics plugins - Status? Dead?

2015-11-01 Thread esa

Hi,

In fact there are three different info :

1) in the Squeezebox setting page it is written "Data provider:
chartlyrics.com"
2) On the download page
'http://downloads.isaksson.info/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-songlyrics)
"All lyrics are provided by lyricsfly.com, so support their service if
you like this plugin."
3) while on the wiki
(http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Song_Lyrics_plugin) : All lyrics
shown through this plugin is primarily provided by
http://musixmatch.com

So, I think Erland changed the provider and one of it might work ;-)

If you can try Erland Plugin SongInfo+Song Lyrics, and confirm me the
result.

In my case, menu LastFM+Lyrucs are no more visible in my Android
application "Squeeze commander".

So, I think that this is not same issue.
It could be linked to my system and I will try on another system like a
RaspberryPi.
