About the non-install properly, you probably fell into the issue where LMS was restarted before the full download, leaving a corrupted file in /var/lib/squeezecenter/cache/DownloadedPlugins. Delete everything here and restart. Wait till the size of the zip files downloaded in this directory become stable and only then restart LMS. For the armv6hf, I suspect you have a Pi B+, not a 2 or a 3. In this case (and this is new, I'll try to change that in the future but this is a problem with my compile system), you need to select the armv5hf instead. The armv6hf need a 2B or 3B LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Can't play many cue files with Squeeze Ctrl
I've just downloaded Squeeze Ctrl for my android phone (Nexus 5) after having used the Logitech ap (until it failed to work anymore) and then Squeezer (which worked fine, even with all the cue files I could throw at it). But I can't get many cue files to open with Squeeze Ctrl and I can't figure out why. The ap won't even play the large flac files. It will play some cue files, just not all of them, Obviously the ap can play these files so what going wrong. I hope it doesn't have anything to do with the way the relevant cue files and flac files are named because I have a huge collection, rather haphazardly named and tagged, and lots of cue files are affected. Fixed it for defo this time I think. All thanks to your comments about wondering why my player is sending artwork as png files. I had a lightbulb moment and I remembered a few days ago changing a setting under performance tab which did have squeezebox.com resize artwork and I changed it to LMS! Would explain the 192.168.1.26 proxy connection earlier. Anyways it is working now however I have my log with debug turned on for shairtunes2 if you still want it. But its been working for the last 10 mins with no issues. So, currently I just added the needed FLAC library to the plugin.

Crash maybe a bit strong a word. LMS freezes, the web gui becomes non reachable and the log stops transmitting. No noticed a lot of CPU usage though. It's the proxy connection from 192.168.1.26 which seems to cause it. Tried on an iOS 9 device and it's the same. Sorry for another thread, well it half works. There are no errors that I can see in the log, it will play the song fine from Mac but the iOS device will play the song just fine and doesn't cut out after 30secs like it did before. Issue is now it still crashes LMS once you change the player back to iOS device or hit pause. Only way to get LMS to respond is to restart it. For the crashing problem, it might be a the fact that the app targets the Anniversary Update. I think I have figured it out. I was thinking whilst I was at work about what you said about the helper having issues. I remember changing the helper settings inside /etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf just like the readme says. I have just found out what the original was and changed it back and now its working! One of the changes was use-ipv6=no and in the readme it says use-ipv6=yes. Also the rlimit-nofile=768 where the readme says rlimit-nofile=300 Anyways its working now whoop whoop - thank you! For the moment, I have a few ideas that would make my life easier. * there should be a way to clear the whole playlist for a player instead of track by track * a simpler way to sync/desync players in the player menu rather than goon through the LMS menus * ability to surface submenus in the server main menu and rearrange them independently of the LMS. The plugin files are large so you have to give it a good five minutes after you select it in the plugin page before you restart. You also have now to erase /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/downloadedplugins and restart before you can restart the install process. In what environment does that VM run ? The music library is archived/validated just as you would normally by directing MusicIP to locate it under tab library/add songs. Is your library archived (selection in preferences of MusicIP) as it is quite a lengthly process to validate songs if they have not already been archived. Not sure if this helps, but I am running MusicIP headless and gui on Linux Mint and Ubuntu 16.04. I've been a longtime MusicIP user in a Windows environment, before switching over to Vortexbox, with only a headless MusicIP install. Due to recent developments in interacting with MusicIP I restarted using MusicMagicMixer, the GUI for the analysis and creation of filters, playlists, moods ..., on Windows. This did however tell me that around 7500 of my files were "unanalyzable", whereas the headless installation on the Vortexbox only reported around 400 non-mixable files. Trying to get KDE running on Vortexbox, to be able to run the MusicMagicMixer on Linux, I've managed to so thoroughly screw things up that it didn't even boot anymore :p I've installed a new(er) pc with Ubuntu 16.04, 64-bit OS, installed LMS according to the steps outlined in the 'Wiki' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Debian_Package), installed MusicIP according to the steps outlined on the 'Spicefly website' (http://www.spicefly.com/article.php?page=musicip-linux) and everything works quite well, except for launching MusicMagicMixer, which was the purpose of the exercise ...
