Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS

2016-11-24 Thread extremeaudio

I am trying to install this on a libreelec LMS docker installation but
when I enter the repo and submit from within LMS plugin settings, I get
an error saying redirect exceeded.

Libreelec does not have commands like apt get etc, so I cannot install
the dependencies. Do you see any hope for me? Would love to have
airplay!

Nope, they are identical, I've checked again, where did you see

It might be iOS 10.x - to see airplay *audio* devices, you have to swipe
the popup screen to the left. On iOS 10.x, the airplay devices you see
on the default popup screen are the video devices

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Syncing Philips Hue Lights with music : plugin needed.

2016-11-24 Thread mathojojo

Hello,

I have Hue Lights and I actually I use my smartphone with apps like "Hue
Disco" or "Hue Pro" to sync thous lights with the music. (The Android
App uses the smartphone microphone to capture the sound, and then
remotes the Hue Light depending on Rythmes, Bass, Medium, treeble...)

But using the smartphone has limits :
- The battery is drained
- There is latency between the sound is played and the light is
reacting (The sound must be played before it can then be captured,
calculated, and then rendered on Hue)

So I beg for a developer to develop a LMS Hue plugin which would analyse
the music while playing it.

It would be so great !!

Thank you

For completness to understand who had rebuffering with 1.4.9 and for
whom 1.5.2 fixed - can you give details on your system (i.e. processor,
memory ) and OS.

Program image still works for Extra. Track image has never worked in
BBCiPllayer or BBCiPlayerExtra. BBC only store track images for the
last 10 tracks on a few National live streams so really it is not usable
for "Listen Again".

Ok so I have only just installed this beta version after being directed
to this thread to resolve an issue I had with iplayer extra.

With the live stream delay set to 2mins this seems to have resolved the
breaks/ rebuffering issues I had with v 1.4.9. Playing through Booms I
was getting an instant start but after about 20 seconds I would have a
break of sometimes up to 60 sec before resuming ( no loss of audio).
This happened at least twice before the feed stabilised and would then
play all day...

The only slight issue that I have now is that when using iplayer extra
the program image is not displayed either against the track in Web
control or on my phone using Squeeze Ctrl. Image displays in Iplayer and
all other music - just not in extra. Not an major issue but for
completeness would be nice.

BPA - Thanks for continuing to keep both iplayer and extra working - so
that we can all still use LMS to it full - much appreciated.

Ok I have just upgraded to iplayer 1,5,2 and iplayer extra 1.9.5 and
extra is now playing DASH streams again. Still have rebuffering on
iplayer live streams but I will move to the beta test thread to update
that.

Thanks Ronnie for pointing the thread out - not sure how I missed it :)

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Iplayer Extra only working when Dash is Disabled

2016-11-24 Thread Jed1-62

Hi All

Recently ( not sure exactly when) my iplayer extra stopped working. I
had no errors it just didn't play. I have now checked the " Do not use
DASH" checkbox and it is working albeit at 128 kbps. I have Iplayer
v1.4.9 and extra v 1.9.3 . with Dash>HLS>MP3>FlashAAC set for both live
and on demand stream in the iplayer plugin. The other settings that I
have in the iplayer plugin are: Use highest bitrate for both on demand
and live and the allow transcoding tickbox is checked...

Any ideas

Yeah I know - when I did some testing I find that Amazon stuff is out of
date (you can longer just lookup up images without signing up to some
Affiliates commercial stuff) and then try to use Musicbrainz as a
backup found some changes there as well - so 1.09 will take a bit
longer.

IIRC bt was also moved somewhere in 7.8

Would love to see some logics to avoid stuff like that ;) Do you think

TBH I am almost surprised by how simplistic I implemented this: it's
only comparing URLs. Therefore yes, if you have the same song on two
different albums, you might end up with duplicate songs.

I'll have to review that.

it's possible to add an option like "don't play songs played in the last
X days" like it was in the smartmix plugin?

I don't want to go there. But it shouldn't repeat the same song within
one session.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LastMix - Another mixer to feedDon't Stop The Music

2016-11-24 Thread onkelandy

He Michael!

Thanks for your plugin, I've been using it for several months now
without any technical problems. Right now I'm using 1.1.5 with the local
music only option.

What happened several times now:
- The same song was added twice in a row! Possible that it was different
versions but at least artist and title were exactly the same.
- Songs from the original playlist were added again. So I have an album
with 10 songs. LastMix automatically adds two new songs and after that
random tracks from the same album again. After four more other songs
there is one already played song again.

Would love to see some logics to avoid stuff like that ;) Do you think
it's possible to add an option like "don't play songs played in the last
X days" like it was in the smartmix plugin?

I play R4 all the time on Boom - so there is no Boom specific issues
except perhaps the generaL wifi one - is the Boom wired ?
The should be no difference between R4Extra and any other station.

At busy time BBC/CDN can be slow to deliver packet sometimes as long as
30 secs.

Please be more descriptive on "drop out" - is it a pause where no audio
is lost but silence is inserted or is it where audio is lost and
replaced by silence ?
Did "rebuffering" appear in the display ?
Any messages in the log file corresponding to same time as drop outs ?

What are your BBCiPlayer Live preference settings ?
Are you in the UK ?
What is LMS processor and LMS version ?
What time did this happen ?
Have you changed any BBCiPlayer setting ?
Did you migrate from 1.4.* or a clean new 1.5.2 installation ?

I use a Receiver and from a transcoding point of view there's no
difference between the Boom and any other squeezebox that needs
transcoding.

Are you using wifi or wired with the Boom? I used a Boom for a while a
couple of years ago and I had to use it wired, the wifi was awful.

2016-11-24 Thread tallpaul

Apologies as I'm coming a bit late to this thread but I installed 1.5.2
a couple of days ago and it's been working a treat via squeezelite, both
on my Linux desktop and my piCorePlayer. But last night I was listening
to 4Extra live streaming on my Boom which is the first time I've used it
since going to 1.5.2 and I was getting very short drop outs in the
audio.

I've just search through this thread and I can't see anyone mentioning
the Boom, other than in the first announcement. Has anyone tried it on a
Boom and have you had any issues? Or am I investigating new ground here?
TIA
