Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi Phillippe, Not sure if you remember me but I am using your airplaybridge to play music to my AVR (Pioneer Elite SC-95) and to an airplay speaker (GGMM M.Freedom) I have. I moved my LMS from a windows machine to a Raspberry Pi 3 running max2play. After setting everything back up my devices show up on the configuration file but only the speaker shows up as a playable device in LMS. I am not sure how to get it to see my avr again. Also, the volume level on the speaker during playback is very low in that I have to turn it all the way up in both LMS and on the speaker to hear it. At this level it is probably about 15% of what the device is capable of. Any idea why that might be the case? Attached is my log. Please let me know if you have any ideas I can check. +---+ |Filename: raop log copy.pdf | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21961| +---+ usc95's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59694 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105198 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi, this is a fascinating project! I can't wait to see the first release :-) Have you tried testing on LMS running in a docker environment? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Using plugin to get Internet radio track data from web site
I'm doing something like that - especially as the code started from your DRS plugin. I'll put more tracing in to see what is called but I think what happens is that when 2nd client starts I get a call and I see that there is already a poll timer running for the station so I don't set up a new timer for this client. All subsequent timer expires are only for client 1 so I never push anything new to client 2. However, and odd thing is that LMS web Ui shows the correct Now Playing info for both client 1 and client 2 even though client 2 physical device sticks with the first set that I sent on its stream starting. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Using plugin to get Internet radio track data from web site
However, the problem that this leads me to is when there is more than one device playing the same station (but the devices are not Synched) then I discard call-backs for one of the devices (because I know that I already have a timer set for later for the station) ... which means that when my other timer does expire then only one device is updated. I guess I could run around all of the devices to see if any are playing the same station and push the same update to them - but is there a better way? What I usually do is store the data in a cache, independent from the client. And I store a flag somewhere telling me whether a lookup is being processed. If I get a second request while the first is still processing, I'd tell the second one to try again later. Or I send it back without any new data, letting it update when I send the newmetadata notification. Would that work? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

DASH is implemented using many sequential http request each asking for about 6.4 sec worth of audio. Unsynchronised the plugin will maintain an independent stream of sequential packets for each radio. For one radio the response to a http request was delayed - as the stream is sequential the plugin will keep asking for the same packet number until it is received - this resulted in the 30 secs gap but with no loss of audio just like pause. The stream for the second radio did not have a delay with a http request and so the stream was played without interruption. I haven't forgotten about you - I have studied the log you posted and couldn't see anything wrong. As the BBC engineeer commented that my DASH stream were asking for packets too early, I have been putting my efforts into fixing this issue as quickly as possible as this may be a cause of your problems. I am also fixing the side issue of better handling error which your problem has shown up as well as other cosmetic issues such as metadata showing very long delays and stuck metadata. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
