Thx Stig, but I assume you have also LmsUpdate or the official Synology
package running as a workaround for the transcoding issue?

Thanks. Running Spotty fine on my updated LmsRepack.

Only transcoding issue I have noticed so far with LmsRepack, is that I
can't use LAME at highest quality settings if using that for a lower
bandwidth streaming to my mobile devices (connecting via VPN before

for it at the moment because of the transcoding issue. Spotty is a
reason to update packages at the moment but needs transcoding.

Yes, the CPU is a problem. IO::Socket::SSL would probably be another
problem. But as long as I haven't figured out how to compile for this
CPU type, the latter doesn't really matter.

Is there a chance Spotty will run on this CPU one day? Yes, there is a
chance. But no guarantee. Depending on your processors speed it might be
worth setting up a Pi3 to run LMS. I'm in the same situation (using a

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?

2017-08-23 Thread 505

The good/bad news is that MixCloud stream are now also failing for me.
That means that I can finally start debugging the problem. It's not as
easy as before to get the URL from MixCloud. I got a very quick fix
working by making use of mixcloud-downloader.com Not sure how stable
that is, and if it will keep working or not. There are still some
problems with it, because it is working on one of my servers, but not on
the other. Probably some differences in regular expressions because of
perl versions. But I can fix that. As soon as I have that, I'll publish
an updated version. Let's hope this keeps working.

My patch: 'Reduce brightness when screen saver is active'
(http://server.vijge.net/squeezebox/) for Touch
Source code: 'GitHub' (https://github.com/danielvijge) for SqueezeCloud,

Exacly. I had to upgrade to latest LmsUpdate since latest LmsRepack
available on repository was dated May.

Read here:

Don't know the differences among the two packages LmsRepack and
LmsUpdate, but for now all seems to be working fine.

Thanks for the help.

Fixed by upgrading to the latest LmsUpdate v7.9.1-1503129892 which is
dated Aug 19.

Code:

Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1503129892 @ Sat Aug 19 09:00:13 UTC
2017

Latest LmsRepack was from May (v7.9.1-1494667952) so it didn't contain
the fix.

I don't know the exact differences among LmsRepack and LmsUpdate, but
now my Radio Preset buttons are working perfectly.

Thanks for the help.

In order to solve the issue with preset buttons, I had to upgrade to
LmsUpdate v7.9.1-1503129892, since LmsRepack latest version was from May
(v7.9.1-1494667952).

I also upgraded to Spotty v1.3.1. I tried preset buttons with Albums and
Playlists and can confirm it is working fine on my Synology DS1812+.

Thanks for your work.

This should be fixed in 1.3.3. Please give it another try. Thanks!

No problem, would have just been a luxury! You have done amazingly well

Alphabetical indexing works very nicely, thank you! Noting that it
indexes by artist first name, not surname. i.e., Neil Young is listed
under N. Is that something beyond SPOTTY, or possible to have a choice?

No, there's no sort information, just the name. I try to apply some of
the logic we apply for artists in LMS (Eg. The Beatles -> "B"). But I
won't go into trying to split first and surname etc.
