For the squeeze2raop on libreElec, here is the reason: the avahi-daemon is set to disallow all other processes to listen to port 5353, i.e. to listen to mDNS broadcast messages. This is etc in /etc/avahi/avahi_daemon.conf and parameter disallow-other-stacks (see https://linux.die.net/man/5/avahi-daemon.conf). So unless this parameter is changed, my app cannot listen to mDNS request and cannot discover players. You can kill the daemon and you'll see that squeeze2raop works fine. This conf file unfortunately is read-only as I think libreElec is a very minimal distro using squashfs. I'm not used to handling squashfs, but you can find some pointers here https://dustplanet.de/howto-update-openelec-root-ssh-password/ and I'm sure tons of people on libreElec forum will tell you how to do that LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. AppleTV2: v6.2.1.: that is likely the difference we are looking for. So, I've uploaded a 0.3.0.5 that might fix the problem. Initially, I saw LMS was sendign me a coverart with file extension ".png" but the content-type was set to jpeg. My AppleTV was still able to display the artwork, but not yours so I assumed that the file was a really a PNG and the content-type was wrong, and I forced content-tyep to be PNG. My AppleTV was still working, so I thought it was the right fix: the extension was correct, the content-type was wrong, done. But it still did not work for you. Then we discovered with Michael is that when no file extension for the artwork is provided by streaming service (eg spotify, deezer), LMS add a ".png" file extension by default, regardless. Well, in fact, the Spotify/Deezer artworks are JPEG, but LMS sends them to me with a file extension .png for the reasons above. My ATV4 was still working because it probably does not care about file extension and content type, but it's smart enough to look at the content of the actual file. But an old OS might not do that and rely on file extension. So I've now set the file extension to match the content-type, which contains the correct information Hope this works for you LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version
I've made a release 1.5.4.5 with a few small fixes & mods. If it is OK after a few users try it, I'll make it the general 1.5.4 release on 1st Sept. To avoid lots of repos URLs in use - I will delete the URL below on 1st Sept http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/V154ftestrelease-repo.xml Release notes for BBCiPlayer Minor update to 1.5.4.5 - Extended retrieved program metadata from max 100 chars to max 200 chars. - Fix bit rate display for Flac as indicated by BBC - Reduce Flac startup time so live stream has less lag from realtime. - Play Taster Binaural live stream (AAC). (Binaural clips in menu need Extra p[lugin installed) - Variable timeout for message about long response in chunk retireval (i.e. allow more time for Flac chunks) - Fix bug which lost last segment of an "On-Demand" program - up to 6.4 sec may be lost. If you want to test binaural - there is a Binaural menu near bottom. The following are the remaining live dates Prom 54 - 25 August, 6.30pm Prom 60 - 29 August, 7.30pm Prom 71 - 6 September, 7.00pm Prom 72 - 7 September, 6.30pm Prom 73 - 7 September, 9.30pm Prom 75 - 9 September, 7.15pm. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If you divide the program duration by 6.4 and if the fraction is less than 0.2 (6.4x0.2 about 1 sec) you won't notice cuttoff but other will depend son whether there is talking to end and when BBC edited the prog.. For some reason the World At one is alway right. But some program like "The Now show at the Fringe" has final words cut off by the BBC even on the browser. I have a fix in 1.5.4.5 bundled with some other minor fixes (e.g. binaural live) - hope to get it out later today to test. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
