Well I am a bit confused, but why not try this: You have MoOde installed on the raspberry pi. Mr Curtis says that the Squeezelite renderer hogs the pi bandwidth. So disable that and enable the UPnPlay renderer (I think that is the one, I might have the name a little wrong)). On the computer that has the LMS running, load and enable Philippe's UPnplay plugin. Then, on your phone, use an app to control the LMS and the raspberry pi running Moode will show as a UPnplay device. You should be able to play Spotty through the pi (and it might show as a Spotify-Connect device if you can enable it in the Player Settings. This last bit is just a guess) If you mean you want to playback through your Phone, then either the UPnplay or Dnla (whatever it's called) plugin should let LMS see your phone as an end device (I'm guessing again). Or the Airplay plugin if an iPhone. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
weekend is here, playtime again... ;-) @mherger Just to set the context for my trial: my mission is to use Spotify Connect with my squeezeboxes I did some more experimenting to see how /tmp is affected, when the /tmp folder fills up on my Qnap-NAS spotty stop playing until its cleared I can't figure out why there is a limit to /tmp since I have a large file system, on the other hand I know just the bare minimum of linux, or less. I play on my Squeezebox Classic or Squeezebox Receiver. "Spotty-app" -- When I use the Spotty in LMS, either from the web-GUI or iPeng app Spotty behaves as a beauty! When skipping or before the end of a song (or actually before next songs is starting) a new (1 and only 1) .tmp file appear in /tmp, the file is there for a few seconds and disappears. This file seems to me to be the raw-file from Spotify since it's not affect in size depending on what transcoding I use. "Connect" --- When I use the Spotify app for Windows, iPhone or iPad and play songs/playlists/"radio station" and direct the stream to my Devices being my Receiver or Classic I experience problem as reported before. >From 1.9.7 starting to play a song mostly add a delay, often followed by skipping one or two songs. My Classic responds by showing Screensaver during these delays, as if the player was stopped/turned off. The Spotify apps (no matter platform) starts to flicker when doing a skip or jumping to the next song in playlist. Without knowing better I would guess there is some sort of interference/confusion between LMS-Spotty and Spotify app. Sometimes In 1.9.6 I didn't experience this, then Connect played solid until stopping as a cause of full /tmp When monitoring /tmp folder I see several .tmp files of the exact same size, there can be 1 or even up to 10, some of these are disappearing after a few seconds, sometimes its hard see since some files disappears while other are appearing for the first time. My impression is that this weekend Spotty is more successful to clean out those files than last weekend. In 1.9.6 I always saw 2 identical sized .tmp files for every song that was about to play. But only one of the files was removed, leading to that my /tmp was filed up after 20-30 songs resulting in Spotty to stop. I made a few changes in my setup since last weekend: -I have updated to the latest nightly (from one in October) -I was now successful in getting spotty to use the 64-bit version using the the -custom suffix (last weekend spotty wouldn't use those). ...I don't believe any of these changes can be accountable for the different behavior though. I just wanted to share my findings if that can help in the development... I'm racking my brains as to why that was. It might be related to installing the other UPnP plugin (the Media Interface) as well, but I'm not sure. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trying to solve Spotty and buffering issues on SBT
Hi all, As per Michael's request, starting a new thread in the hope that this issue might be tackled and not be snowed under by connect issues. Have been using Spotty since it launched. Overall brilliant and many thanks to Michael. I have my SB Touch connected to LMS Repack 7.9.1 using latest Spotty plugin on a Synology DS 415+, and sometimes get buffering issues. I want to see what causes it. Tried to increase logging level on some things I thought relevant. Actually see the buffering issues mentioned in the log now. But how do I know where they are originating? Is it in the Synology (LMS) or is it in the SB Touch player? As I connected it through WiFi, it might be possible. But would the log in LMS show lines of buffering if the player suffers from loss of data due to WiFi issues? Somehow that seems not so logical. Anyone who can shine a little light on this? Many thanks, Martijn MKV's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66800 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108277 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm trying to integrate two Logitech Squeezeboxes with recently purchased Marantz NR1608 AVR, Riva Festival and Riva Arena wireless speakers. I have LMS and iTunes running on a Synology DS216+II NAS. Squeeze2Raop seems like the perfect solution for me. Since it appears the LMS Squeeze2Raop plugin won't work on a Synology NAS, I downloaded the Windows version. Norton 360 identifies the .EXE as a threat and blocks access to the network. I know how to work around this issue, but I'm reluctant to do so. I think I might email Amazon and see if I can get a £20 refund ( not holding my breath ) to be honest unless there is a way to control LMS from the echo it will stay a nerdy toy for me - a bit of fun and nothing more. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)
Anyone who has succeeded in getting Radio Paradise FLAC running on a ReadyNas server ??? I bet it depends on the ReadyNAS model. Older models (NV, Duo) seem to have a problem with encrypted https, even if the IO::Socket::SSL module is installed. They're still running an ancient Perl 5.8. Maybe that's just not up to the task. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Never mind my last comment. After a while all players go weird. Restart LMS is the only solution for now. I'll wait patiently for a fix, and willing to help (log files, ...) where needed.
