Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
This is another minor update which hopefully improves a few minor details: - re-initialize the Connect helper when you switch account. This should simplify using Connect in a multi-user environment (Family accounts) - get rid of the MAC address in the Connect endpoint name - improve support for aarch64 (using the armhf binaries - let's see...) - have the helper application create temporary files in LMS' cache folder rather than /tmp Unfortunately I haven't been able to considerably improve Connect reliability :-(. Enjoy anyway :-). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Alexa voice control (development thread)
Hi All Don't give up just yet! It's been oh so quiet on the Alexa dev. front of late due to other work stuff taking up a lot of time. I know I've been saying that for a while but it's true! I still need to finish out the feature set for the established Alpha test group. I'm not taking anyone new into that group at the moment as I want the people who are familiar with the skill and plugin to help finish it out (ie I don't want to spend time right now going over basics with new testers). Once we get the alpha working, I'll be opening up to a wider beta group with a view to improving stability and getting language versions back on track. I'm heartened by the number of people who've been contacting me seeking access to the test phase. There's obviously an appetite within the SB community for this kind of add on. If you want to get involved in the upcoming beta, send me a PM here or email to admin at hab-tunes dot com. (just posting on this thread is unlikely to work as I won't be trawling through pages of posts to pick out applicants). If you've already done that and I've responded, happy days. If you didn't get a response, I've missed you for some reason so please try again. Stay tuned! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Success: MusicIP and Spicefly Sugarcube running on Raspberry Pi
It seems to be possible to open the default.m3lib file on the Pi in the Windows MusicIP mixer and analyse the tracks in the Pi's library from there. This is just as fast as analysing on a local disk and archives the fingerprint in file metadata. Maybe that's too new for the code. Anyway, I could try escaping the offending brackets or just waiting for Phillip_44's response. Thanks for taking a look. Agreed, don't think that what they're talking about in that post is the same issue, but possible that an attempt to fix the problem may have broken our feed? They're also acknowledging a fault to Listen Live dated Monday 27th Nov, posted here: http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/radio/internet_radio which does indictate that they're making changes, with possible unintended collateral damage... 4x Slim Devices SB3 (White) 1x Boom, 1x Radio 1x Joggler + Squeezeplay / Squeezelite + Topping TP30 florca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7486 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There is nothing in blog to indicate any change in feed operation or functionality so it looks like a problem with the feed. As I said before, I believe the implementation of this feed was outsourced when it was implemented maybe 5-6 years ago. Lets hope there is a maintenance contract but it is unlikely original developers are around, so some poor person is having to go into old code and figure what has happened (i.e. what was broken by BBC over the weekend - BBC likes doing new code at weekends) and then fix it. A couple of days at least. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi - There's a message on the iPlayer Radio Help page here: http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen-later as follows: Code: *** Thursday 16 November *** We're aware that Listen Later is not working for some people across several devices. Those affected are seeing the following error message: "There's been an error and your Listen Later items cannot be retrieved. Please try again later." We're looking into this and we'll update this FAQ with any further information. My guess is that they may have done something to try to fix that issue which has broken the feeds used by us? I've reported the problem via the "Contact Us" button on the page but on previous experience don't expect much will come of it.
