I think you can have LMS, squeezelite *and* shairport running at the same time, just when you start streaming from your iPhone, the audio output will be fed by shairport. The feed is a vendor feed intended for use by companies not individuals and not really part of BBC of BBCiPlayer - IIRC the feed is generated from a database and maintained by a 3rd party. This means normal channels do not really work. Triode had a contact. I also know that some BBC technical staff used to look at this forum. That said, as it is vendor feed, there are vendor customers who will have been complaining to the vendor through their support who will in turn provide feedback to BBC. My only worry is that the BBC have changed the URL and vendors know the new URL. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109446 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Worked first time from Ipad but we're an Android house. Kill the app on the Android device and restart. [SlimDevices: Plugins] trouble getting spotty 2.4.4 started
I am going to try Spotify again. I used to run Spotty fine on earlier trials. I installed the latest v2.4.4 plugin and restarted LMS. I can see spotty on my plugin list. If I click the spotty app, it tells me to go to settings, advanced, spotty which I do. However, the LMS server just waits with a message it is waiting at the bottom of the screen. If I click the settings button on the plugin list for spotty, it also waits there too. So basically, I cannot enter my credentials for spotify to get started. All other functionality seems to work fine. I am running 7.9.1 of LMS on my debian/stretch system. All else is fine. freelsjd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4344 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109463 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

However I think the general changeover to use https from http will affect 7.7.3 users. The BBC redirection issues is from a http URL to a https URL and LMS managed but a few other error messages from BBCiPlayer action popped up relating to https. I don't know what is not working on your system so I think the podcast will be your best workaround in the short term. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109446 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But when an application stream something to the ALSA device, this device is locked (and of course, can't be opened by another app). So, for example, if you are listening music on Youtube, you won't be able to hear sounds from a movie played by VLC, because the ALSA device will already be in use. Pulseaudio is the solution to avoid thous rectrictions. It's a sound server. Pulseaudio open an ALSA device (set as default), and appear in ALSA as a virtual ALSA device. So all sounds, from each application is sent to pulseaudio, and Pulseaudio mixes all thous sounds to only one stream that can be sent to the default ALSA device. So, in my case, When I set my squeezelite config file with "default - Playback/recording through the PulseAudio sound server ", in fact I'm selecting the virtual ALSA device "Pulseaudio". I could select another ALSA device, but if I do so, the ALSA device selected will be locked by squeezelite and I won't be able to play anything else. I nearly had a nervous breakdown setting up the server. I break out in a cold sweat when I think I might need to do something with it. If somebody could tell me that running raspberry pi for the LMS was efficient and easy to do and had full instructions to set it up, then I would happily consider giving it a go. It might be a good solution to have the LMS separate to the server. My problem is that there are so many options, I have no idea what is right for me. My server is an old HP N36l and the nas4free needs updating on it. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Tidal stopped working on LMS + SB Touch
Suddenly Tidal doesn't work from SBT anymore. It shows track but every track is reset and in jumps to the next track and so on. Anyone else experienced this? Works fine from the Android TV app into my DAC, though, but not from LMS in the web browser app on the TV. Any ideas? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control is now available as a UWP app for Windows 10.
SqueezeCntrl has started to revert to the primary player when the Android device has blanked screen or gone to sleep. My main player is a Transporter; a secondary player is a Touch. I often use the Touch for close listening away from the rest of the family. When I select the Touch and am listening to music, my mobile (on which SqueezeCntrl is located) will after a few minutes blank screen or go to sleep. When I start it up, SC has reverted to the default player, the Transporter, and I have to re-select the Touch, go to My Music and select the current track to get back to where I need to be. This is quite annoying. What can I do to fix? I can't seem to find anything in the controls. I, too, tried the Angry Goat info address, and got the "can't connect" message. AFAIK This is not a LMS version issue but it's possible a bug was in older LMS - I'll try to do a check later. Redirection is done by the destination of the HTTP request (i.e. bbc) as it passes the request off from one server to another trying to find the best. This error used to happen a lot with sourceforge repo URLs. As a sanity check can you check this URL ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/a-z/by/x/player.json ) out on a browser on a PC connected to same LAN as the LMS server (I'm guessing you can run a browser on your NAS) . It will return JSON data - which looks cryptic but if it returns then it narrows down possible source of problem. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109446 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiplayer play it again list shows 404
I think I've cleared the cache.db file by stopping the jail that the LMS runs in and waiting 15 minutes and restarting it. I can only delete it manually if I leave the (nas4free)jail and LMS running (I don't know how to stop and start LMS, it just starts automatically when the jail does) (I'm permanently out of my depth with this stuff). Please let me know if it's safe to delete the file while LMS is running, and I'll try that. Anyway, when I first clicked on Iplayer Extras after restarting jail/LMS it went to the error message right away "There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Redirection limit exceeded)", but 15 mins later when I try it has retrieved the station names and alphabet programme letters and gives the error message when I select a letter. Is this enough to know it is a problem with my LMS version (7.7.3)? @bpa > Find a programme in the opml feed is really messy That is very true, I use a 'phone app a lot of the time and notice that when a new podcast is published, The Radio Station it is on, is higher up the initial Station List. It is also an option to save the podcast as a favourite, but that just becomes another list (although one could make a folder for saved podcasts I guess). ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109446 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
