I'm pretty sure it was an API change. Last night I tried Spotify and BT control did work, today the Spotify app was updated and BT control works now. I'll look into it when I have some time. Nvidia, to tell then how to implement HDMI-CEC in Android 5.0+. It details certain services that system apps could access and what the device maker need to provide to make it work, but nothing mentioned is really accessible to plain old apps. As far as I can tell, there is no defined API for apps use CEC. I did find some info about accessing native libraries on a device to use CEC, but those libraries are very device specific, and that info I think is from before Android 5 and TIF. I use Shairtunes mainly to stream SiriusXM from an old Iphone to my Picoreplayer based LMS running on a Pi 2 and played on a Picoreplayer/Jivelite Pi 3 (and other Pi's around the house). It works well for the most part, however lately it has failed to fetch the Artwork for any songs like it used to. I don't know if this is the APP on the Iphone or something in the plugin. Quick note wrt. to the latest library update in git: something's still wrong. I'm using server side categories with grouping. The groups would still show wrong values. Eg. I enabled a library view (working fine!), then went to artists. It said something like "a-d (46 artists)". Yeah Philippe's plugin. Currently you cannot add/modify/delete groups via the CLI. I plan at some point to modify the plugin to allow this. I like the idea of group players, and seems more logical to me to save these groups, rather than each time having to state which players to sync. But, as stated, with only 2 players its not a massive priority for me. But how often would you create/modify groups? Wouldn't you create them once, then use them. If you want to change them all the time, why not just sync them? I now strongly suspect that this issue relates to my carrier's rollout of Android 8.0 to my phone, which eliminated AVRCP 1.3and default to AVRCP 1.4. I further believe that Andrid 8.1 restores AVRCP 1.3 to Developer Options. I don't know when or if my phone will get Android 8.1. It would be useful to confirm Bluetooth Controls are working properly for devices running AVRCP 1.3, and not working properly for devices which are not. I can see the point in changing the active player, and simple enough. But I would not then expect the dialog to close and change to now playing. That's the step I'm not sure about - closing the dialog when a player is clicked. With a touch interface, its possible you click to change active by mistake, and the dialog closing would be weird. Ah, got you. Yeah, should probably a dedicated button or something, rather than just anything which isn't a control otherwise. (I'd even almost suggest marry player management and sync screens...) That would make sense. Just not 100% how to represent it. I guess a synced/unsynced button which then brings up an option of which player to sync to. I assume a player can sync to more than 1? As I only have two You'd have to submit multiple sync requests. players, this is never an issue for me. The default webUI seems to only allow syncing of two players - which is why the current sync dialog does this. The web UI sucks at syncing. You can always fire up Squeezeplay on your computer if you need an additional player. Or get that Paypal account, people are asking you about :-). I was planning on splitting this dialog into normal players and group players (either by section or tabs), and then allowing the create/update/delete of group players. But I first need to add CLI support for these commands to the group player plugin. Group players as in Philippe's plugin? On a related note, currently the skin does not update the MAI info when the song changes. When using tabs, it will update when you change tab. When all 3 panes are shown at once they will not update when the song changes. So, should the dialog automatically update its info when the song changes? I was thinking exactly the same - rename the tabs Artist/Album/Track - and use some of the screen estate to display other info - how would you get a handle of a Related Artist that is coming from Allmusic and compare it to those in the Library ? Michael hasn't done that within MAI It's all implemented in MAI already. Did some quick research. Apparently it effects Spotify too, but not Google Play music. So Google probably changed something and didn't tell anyone. As a side not, I found a forum post claiming that you can fix the problem by uninstalling Android Wear. If you don't have an Android Wear watch, that might be a quick fix. This is becoming really really good. A feature request but this is to Michael and/or Craig as appropriate as its really MAI focused. The MAI shown via [I]*i*[I] on the Desktop is brilliant but can I suggest that as we now have some screen estate to play with can you add (a la Plex) Album Credits, Related Artists etc and also (a la iPeng) look up links - just links - to Wikipedia etc. This would really bring LMS up to date. I'm not sure how you would fit it all in on Mobile - perhaps a fourth tab? Unless I'm missing something, there's no way to find what version of Material you are using, other than going to the server settings page and looking at the plugins list. I mean I turned the pc and spotty was not working any more. It has been some times since I last used it. spotty.exe has not changed in a while. Maybe some antivirus signature is detecting it as a false positive?
