The reason I started at d1 was to line up with the available drop down selections Erland has in the custom clock helper plugin. Where did tcutting have it start in the WU SDT plugin? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mycroft Squeezebox skill now available
Mycroft https://mycroft.ai/ is an open source assistant similar to Amazon Echo and Google Home. They sell complete hardware such as the Mark I (which I have) and someday the Mark II, but you can build them from commodity hardware as well https://mycroft.ai/get-mycroft/ including ready made raspberry pi images. The product is pretty good, not nearly as polished in terms of the responses as the mainstream offerings, but out of the box it can do the usual parlor tricks such as weather, celebrity ages, etc, and has a skill . Johan Palmqvist has written a skill to control the squeezebox server https://github.com/johanpalmqvist/skill-squeezebox which I'm happy to say works, for my use, pretty well. The skill does download all the music data to the local device so the software can parse through the data when you ask to play something. This didn't work for me, since my library is pretty large and tags aren't all in the best of shape, but Johan made an option to not download the library data so you can just use it to navigate playlists, favorites and such as well as manage the player states, which I have been testing and works well. If you're looking for a way to control the squeezebox via voice I would encourage you to check it out. sander's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110339 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The BBC station logo are square but all programme images are rectangular - go figure ! It seems to be consistent. Detailed program information comes from two sources. BBC "Polling" and a RadioPlayer. LMS UI has 3 text fields - Track, Artist and Album. For streaming live radio, the BBC program info (Station, Program series title, Episode details and description) have to be mapped into the 3 fields. So in your case "Jazz Record Requests" is the Program Series title and putinto the UI's "track" field. Program description which is usually episode/broadcast specific is put in the UI's "album" field which is "Recordings by Lester Young, George Shearing and Miles Davis." It can be quite long. The currently playing track info is put into the UI's "artist" field - the track info as supplied by Polling and Radioplayer response is typically formatted as "track title by artist name" so this would match to "The Wolf That Lives in Lindsey by Joni Mitchell". IF teh user has paused a station or has skipped back the plugin will changes the data and not show "Now" track as program is delayed. In this case the plugin will show as Track the station name followed by something like "delayed by x mins". In your case this is not seen so the issue is not due to delay. However the "now" information is not always an " track by artist" type info. There is no code in the plugin to create info such as "Jazz Record Requests : 09/03/2019" - this comes from the program info BBC "Polling" website. When a broadcast program is between tracks or BBC is not providing "now" program information (this happens late at night usually after 11.00pm) then the format shown appears. While this can explain two different layout - it does not require changing the check box. I have not been able to replicate your experience when toggling "always display station" box. I need to try a few late night and other R3 programs as there are special cases when the plugin uses alternates when a data field from the "Polling" or RadioPlayer is empty and I wonder if there is some special case. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

A new public API supposed to be available in 2015 - seems to have stalled. The API that was supposed to die in 2017 seems to be part of the basis for BBC Sounds. BBC wanted higher quality audio but now pushes MP3 podcasts. BBC is buffetted by technology, social trends and a fickle parliament and tries to find a path. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103293 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

For example listen > again for "The Life Scientific" on Radio 4 gives this :. For some unknown reason, the BBC have made some broadcasted programs only available as podcasts not available as HDS, DASH or HLS even though full URLs for DASH and HLS have been provided in the "Listen Again" XML feed. . The "Life Scientiific" is one of the few, other examples include "Fighting talk " on 5live or when being broadcast "The infinite Monkey cage". The LMS BBCiPlayer plugin in 1.6.3 finds the podcast automagically so user doesn't notice the problem except by looking at audio format (mp3 vs aac). To make a fix to the BBCRadio Applet to automate finding podcasts for such programs would take too much effort. I suggest just use the Mysqueezebox Podcast App and add the BBC podcast URL http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/opml/bbc_podcast_opml.opml >From the BBC "deprecated" note in the "6" URLs - it is likely the BBCRadioApplet has a limited life and if you really want BBCiplayer functionality you should consider implementing a small LMS server (e.g. Raspberry Pi with Picore) but even the BBCiPlayer plugin's lifespan is not guaranteed. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103293 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Text wraparound is quite noticeable if the panel is detached and width narrowed. Ideally the WebUI should have scrolling text for the HTMl div id ctrlCurrentArtist and ctrlCurrentAlbum. However IIRC scrolling text is a not standard HTML feature but can be implmented using CSS3 but then possibility of browser compatibility issues. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
