These kind of problems were ruled out by a working solution. 1-2: I attempted several variations of your suggested "wavin2cmd.exe -o wavin:3 > audiocapture.raw" where I got all combinations of bitrates 44,1-96 to play back in Audacity or convert correctly through flac.exe at 16 bit depth. However, at 24 bit nothing worked. This led me to suspect that wavin2cmd just doesn't support 24 or higher bits?(Somebody care to verify?) Maybe I'm wrong, but I gave up after skimming the source code and the tests above, as well as the alternate and hacky solution I stumbled across. Cons: -The setup will probably not survive any (plugin)updates -Bad solution to rename an executable Maybe it could be an idea for someone competent and motivated to update the WaveInput plugin to work with the sox.exe instead of wavin2cmd.exe in the (near) future? I tried to look at the code, but unfortunately couldn't figure our the references [wavin2cmd] and [flac] to the executables wavin2cmd.exe and flac.exe, respectively... The "few secs of audio" is to do with Wav format. With WAV the WAV header has details including length. Usually when a wav file is being written - the header is updated after the whole file is written. This cannot be done if output is to a stream (i.e. STDOUT is no "seekable") To check audio recording - you need to record in RAW and then convert to flac or use a player that can play raw files (e.g. ffplay). Code: wavin2cmd.exe -o wavin:3 > audiocapture.raw ffplay -f s16le -ar 44100 -ac 2 audiocapture.raw There may 3 sources of problems. 1. command line error 2. syntax error in conf file 3. permission or setup etc. preventing command accessing audio h/w To check 1 - use the advice above. Make sure you have the right device by using the "wavin2cmd -l" command - first device listed is 0 (zero). To check 2 - use logging set player.source to INFO and try to play wavin Favorite - look at log output and confirm fully expanded wavin2cmd command is correct and as intended. Check problems of type 3 is more difficult and Windows version dependent. General tips * Don't run LMS as a service - set it to run at user login. I noticed that when using a laptop with windows 10 and chrome I can click on Artist name or album name on the right side of the screen and then the left side of the screen will jump to artist or album (on attached image marked 1 and 2). But when using a phone or iPad something else happens. If I click on artist name or album name it starts looking up info on the internet for selected artist or album. So there is no easy way to jump directly to the artist or album? Hi Craig - I've noticed the Information page on the Material always seems to report All plugins are up to date for me - even when the Plugins page in Server Settings is reporting a restart is required to update plugins ( I have update plugins automatically ticked ). I'm running Version: 7.9.2 - 1567938514 @ Sun Sep 8 12:47:39 CEST 2019 Material Skin: 0.9.7 I'm guessing Material Skin is seeing that the plugin has been updated but not that a restart is required - is it maybe possible to check for this and also report on the Information page ? Also do you know if it is possible to check & report which plugins have been updated and require the restart ? After many hours of basically hit'n'miss setup (the OpenHab docs are extensive but very confusing), I've finally got squuezebox players available via the Habtunes web interface. I'm stuck at this point moving on to Google Assistant access. As far as I can tell from the docs. (which only describe thermostat use) the player(s) will need some item description files with appropriate tags, etc. Does anyone here have any experience with all of this and could give some help and instructions on how to proceed? Hello, My Music server is a Nuc, OS is audio-linux (basically tuned arch linux for newbies). RoonServer is installed, and is working with airplay, roon bridges. I try to send (and play) music with an 'upnp renderer' (https://www.engineered.ch/products/ered-mod/) mounted in my dac. What has been done: Squeeze2upnp compiled. Then: Code: yaourt -U squeeze2upnp-1.20.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz touch /home/audiolinux/.config/squeeze2upnp.xml ./squeeze2upnp-x86-64-static -Z -i /home/audiolinux/.config/squeeze2upnp.xml After that, i edited file with roonmode=1. I have now this config file: '[image: https://i.goopics.net/800/J37qX.png]' (https://goopics.net/i/J37qX) then Code: ./squeeze2upnp-x86-64-static -Z -x /home/audiolinux/.config/squeeze2upnp.xml gives: '[image: https://i.goopics.net/800/pJgNR.png]' (https://goopics.net/i/pJgNR) my renderer appears in Roon, but no music plays, timeline isnt incrementing. I think i'm close, perhaps there's something obvious i don't see. Today Spotify was not working. I’m not sure how the settings got deleted. I know there is a way to get it back but I forget the proper settings.
