ISP is Virgin Media, I'm in London, and the only stable feeds are the 320kbps. I had Mellow regular running for a while this afternoon, but the album image wasn't changing with each new track, not in itself an issue but maybe an indicator? simonheard's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57556 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111877 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Every time I think there is something wrong, it turns out to be my bad :). Once it was because I came to a new location/different server, and the plugin wasn't up to date, and the other time, it was due to a funky state that my picore server gets into after power failures (discussed in another thread). I have been listening to RP FLAC interactive, mellow and regular allot recently and it's been fine for me. Hopefully it's something simple for you... I tried to make my Squeezebox Radios bullet Proof for the future of LMS8 However when I try to install the patches for the Radio, via the Radio patch menu, I got the answer that there aren't any patches, multiple times in a row. I tried to offer the patches via a private webserver, however no success. There seem to be be some timeouts involved (the applet installer works well), which seem to prevent the installation of patches. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] RTE Ireland - Now Playing info for programmes
Here is a repo link for the programme details version. The code is based on my other grabbers - so has a lot of stuff in it that is not used for a source with no song updates - but it works. http://www.dabdig.co.uk/slimserver-rep/repo-rte.xml My reference to iPlayer plugin was for how to convert a list of shows into menus for LMS. My recollection is that in broad terms it needs to create an OPML format structure. First thing I'll do is look again at RTE data to see if it is feasible without a huge amount of crawling. However, I know that I have access to the data for at least one of the other grabbers that I wrote recently. Their Listen Again archive wasn't amenable to processing - each program had a web site which needed screen scraping. Podcasts are emphasised by RTE but often no 3rd party conmtent (e.g. documentaries, news programs etc no music) I doubt if iPlayer is any use since RTE use MP3 streams. I think the best approach may be to look at the "app" and see what formats are being used for data. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] ISP (Mediacom) is Blocking Tunein Radio, Spotty from PiCorePlayer
I set up a simple Raspberry Pi for a Friend of mine. Running LMS and Squeezelite on the Rpi itself. I set it up at my home and Network and everything was working fine. He brought it home and anytime he tried to play a radio Station, it would not. Would not find anything searching Spotify either. His only sources will be Tunein Radio and Spotify. I was attempting to help him over the phone and could not see what was going on. But, finally he saw some messages about his ISP blocking his requests in the Web Control Page of LMS. So Mediacom has some Firewall software blocking LMS to access anything outside his router. Is anyone familiar with Mediacom here that can shed some light on this situation. From what my very non-technical friend says, tech support calls get routed to the Philippines and they have been less than helpful in the past. If there is some interest then I'll release it - but I could do with someone in a different timezone to Dublin to test it (they present the timestamps as Dublin local without a timezone so I have to try to handle it ... which I think I have done). I think I also need to work out how to add Listen Again capabilities to the plugins that I have built ... I expect I'll have to look more closely at iPlayer plugin to see how to do it. Thanks for the workaround to re-encode the flac files, that worked well and eleminated the stuttering for me :) There is just one side effect, I wasn't able to play a subsection of a flac file anymore. In my use case this means I have single flac files that contains a complete album or livesets. Additional files with cue sheets are used to navigate to each song individually. With the above fix I wasn't able to play a specific song anymore, instead squeezebox server stopped playing and I got bored with silence. So I have adopted the re-encoding fix to allow playing of subsections again: Code: flc flc * * # FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v} [flac] -cs --totally-silent --compression-level-0 $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ - As sox isn't able to cut out subsections of a file this fix uses flac itself to re-encode the data. I didn't measure if flac might costs more CPU cycles compared to sox ;) have phun Phil PiF's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70191 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111370 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
