I cannot recreate this. The button is the *same* button in browse,
now-playing, and queue views - the toolbar itself does not change (only
the 'i' button is changed for play/pause).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2020-05-25 Thread Ron F.

I have an issue with the latest Material update, ID=98ababd5. I am using
Material on a laptop and I have sized the browser window so that the
mobile layout kicks in. Everything looks and works fine, except the
Volume control. In the mobile layout the Volume control changes to a
button of course, and in the Browse and Queue displays, clicking on the
Volume button produces a drop-down volume window with the slider
control. This does not happen however in the Now Playing display. In
this case scrolling the mouse wheel while hovering over the Volume
button changes the volume, which is inconsistent with the other two
displays.

I note of course that Material does NOT do anything like this when
rendering the mobile display on my Android phone.

I looked into what it would take to make the current Moon Phase Icon
available in a Custom Clock screen. Unfortunately in addition to minor
modifications to SDT it looks like it would also take modifications to
the CCH plugin and possibly the Custom Clock applet. I do not believe
@erland is actively adding functionality to either the CCH plugin or the
CC applet at this time.

I am using LMS 8.0.0 - 1590347233 and Spotty 4.1.0 on a Windows 10 Pro
64-bit Dell PC using a Squeezebox Duet. I tried to connect to Spotify
(for the first time in a few weeks, so I don't know how long it's been
since it worked for me, nor what the last versions were that worked for
me) but I keep getting

"Failed to get access token

Could you please share your server.log file with us?

Ok, did run the command as you indicated and can see 'test' in Spotify's
available connections box.
No errors thrown.

Hmm... then I don't understand why that would not work within LMS. Are
you sure you have not firewall activated on your systems? You said you
disabled it: are you using anything other than Windows' own?

You should be able to add the time on top of the map. Have you tried
adding a second item for the current time? I recommend setting the time
text color to black for increased contrast to the white background of
the map.

Unfortunately the map cannot be animated.

The export is correct. The single line text file from the CCH export
can be reformatted to indented JSON to make it easier to read. I use
Notepad++ with ether the JSTool or JSON Viewer plugins. I have
attached your single line text file reformatted using the JSTool plugin

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. I removed my Spotify account info from Spotty and followed the
authentication procedure by letting Spotify automatically authenticate;
it took almost a minute. Still get the error message.
2. I removed my Spotify account info from Spotty and followed the
authentication procedure by manually entering my Spotify username and
password. Still get the error message.
3. I unchecked Spotty from the list of plugins, restarted LMS, then
ticked the box and restarted LMS again; I then tried 1. and 2. again.
Still get the error message.

I am nowhere near being proficient with LMS to do much more than that,
so if there are any further info-gathering or troubleshooting steps
you'd like me to perform, please be sure to instruct me as if talking to

The /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Logs server.log has zillions of

Obviously I have reset the NAS's clock and I hope this works now.
Process that consum the CPU are Syno.finder.fil, several files called
sth like synoscgi_SYNO.Finder.File.Indexing...,
synoscgi_SYNO.Core.System... but I am not doing anything with the NAS.
slimserver.pl consumes 124mb of private memory but i know what that is.

Michael, these are albums rather than tracks. They are consistent
between LMS and Qobuz grids until about the halfway point and then they
lose all continuity. I also found several albums on the Qobuz grid that
are no longer available. I deleted them.

Please try to delete all non-playable items and see whether this
improves the behaviour in LMS. The fact that you see less imported
albums than you have favorites might tell us that some/many of them were
no longer playable. Feel free to enable logging for Qobuz and re-run a

My Airplay Bridge plugin has stopped working: LMS drops me a note that
it needs a restart to update plugins, but whe I click restart now it
just re-downloads RaopBridge.zip to /cache/DownloadedPlugins and does

In case you're on LMS8, please update to the latest build, as I've

For LMS 7.9 you need to wait until tomorrow. I back-ported the change,

RaopBridge.zip started. Noticed that download was reset sometimes during
transfer (file size started from 0 bytes again). After a view tries it
installed again. Probably an unreliable download was the source of the
problem.

Try installing a small plugin (like "Network Test"). Maybe it was
coincidental, but here LMS installed the small plugin and the update
which didn't work before.

Hi. I've performed a fresh installation of LMS nightly version 8.0.0 -

someone guide me how to install it under Ubuntu server? Thanks.

Michael, these are albums rather than tracks. They are consistent
between LMS and Qobuz grids until about the halfway point and then they
lose all continuity. I also found several albums on the Qobuz grid that
are no longer available. I deleted them. Interestingly, the LMS grid did
not display them at all. Obviously, there is something weird happening
all around. Grazie.

A couple of updates were made to the LMS plugin download code over the
last weekend - to help with some issues seen when downloading large
plugins from Sourceforge (like this one).

So - if you are feeling brave you could install the LMS 8.0 nightly.

Alternatively - request the plugin update - but do not click on the LMS
Restart for 30 mins or so and see if that helps.

My Airplay Bridge plugin has stopped working: LMS drops me a note that
it needs a restart to update plugins, but whe I click restart now it
just re-downloads RaopBridge.zip to /cache/DownloadedPlugins and does
not install it. I've checked sha1sum of the Zip and it is

repo-sf.xml). Any ideas?

Doesn't really explain the problem - both HLS and DASH have 48kHz
streams and follow same audio paths.

cpd73 wrote:

Argh... that serverstatus command is carrying too much information for
my taste already... the information would be available from the
systeminfo call.

Code:

{
  "id": 0,
  "params": [
  "00:04:20:ab:cd:ef",
  ["systeminfo","items",0,25000,"menu:1"]
  ],
  "method": "slim.request"
  }

But you'd then have to parse and walk that navigation tree - which
sucks.

You could implement another custom call (or add it to one of your
already existing calls) similarly to what the web UI does (see
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/blob/0f325ce60c4c326ca34bdc8fd2c6c0da1a21ffcf/Slim/Web/Settings/Server/Status.pm#L31
downwards): Slim::Menu::SystemInfo->menu() would get you all the data.
Part of the that are items with a ->{web}->{group} = 'onlinelibrary'
attribute. That's what you'd use to get the data to display.
