Very few services run by default. On the tweaks page, you can enable cron. getTime.sh is a script to go grab the current time. You can add a custom cron entry on the tweaks page..this one runs every 4 hours. 0 0,4,8,12,16,18 * * * /usr/bin/getTime.sh Once a day is probably plenty though. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Are you suggesting that there *is* such a job in pCP, or that I could solve the problem by adding a cron job? (again, I'm currently on 5.0, and can accept that things are improved in more recent builds. Just trying to clarify...) My system was in this state for many days, and it's internet connection was fine after perhaps the first few minutes after the power outage reboot. So if there is supposed to be a cron job running to help fix this, it's not in evidence. sudo crontab -l shows no configured jobs. Again, I don't need a better solution for my situation. If the extremely weird problem recurs, hopefully something will jog my memory enough to get to this resolution faster :-) tastewar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32399 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112956 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Just trying to figure out why youre not getting the files from MAI internet search saved to the folder you selected in MAI. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Should I update, and if so how?
OK, so let me say that this stuff has been remarkably stable, by and large. (this stuff == pCP, LMS, Spotty). I don't know if it had anything to do with my ssh'ing to my server today but I found later that LMS was no longer running. So I rebooted the pi (via the button in pCP). I then reconnected via ssh, and checked the date, and it is now correct. And spotty is working again. So, the problem seemed to be rooted in the fact that the date was wrong. It's possible that the internet was out when the server was last booted. Maybe it gave up trying to set the date/time?? This was also hinted at in one of the responses. So I certainly recognized that there was a date problem when I saw those dates in the log, but I would *not* have made the connection with https connections and certificate checks, etc. So thanks everyone for helping diagnose this. As is often the case, a reboot fixed the problem, but at least this time I have an *inkling* as to why. tastewar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32399 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112956 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

And nothing but Spotty changed? Yes. I know it's weird. Today I've noticed some zones have appeared in Spotify Connect, but that - how I discovered - was only because I had a short power outage and my "old" x86 system has booted itself and provided another LMS in the network. After shutting it down, Zones from my RPi have disappeared from Connect again. So, it's clear it is something with Spotty or LMS on ARM in particular as on x86 it still works fine. Thant makes me wonder also if first few days of my "working fine Spotty" on RPi wasn't run through LMS on the old x86 system. I don't remember when I have put it down exactly. It might be the issue that Spotty has never worked at my system on ARM. Possible? Is it known to work fine on RPi? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi there, just wanted to report a small minor display glitch, as well as a small request. the glitch is the one you can see in my screenshot, upper left corner, with the rating stars. The request is the following. You may not agree with my PoV, in which case, fine with me, I can live with it :) The year displayed in the "now playing" banner at the bottom (and in the "now playing" screen) seems to be the one -from the album- And in the case of a compilation, it seems to be the year from the first track. I understand this is probably by design, but I'd really rather see the year from the -currently playing track- here (1978 in my screenshot). The album year (especially when picked from track 1) has no real informational value, IMHO. If I'm having a look at what's "now playing", I want to know when -the song- is from. Just my own opinion, obviously. 31633 Also : kudos for the new search field behaviour, I find it much slicker than the former pop-up. +---+ |Filename: material skin.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31633| +---+ Stan Pulsar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6669 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Did anything else about your system change? The latest Spotty update should not have any impact on the Connect functionality. That's basically a new setup on RPi4, being used for a few days. I've been using similar setup on x86 for several months before. I've moved to RPi and for couple of days it worked perfectly fine. Are you saying that Spotty did work a few days ago on the Pi, but no longer does?
