Sometimes I let them both play, that is usually when entertaining and I keep the vol fairly constant and set Z1 vol using the Denon remote, other times I just turn Z2 off if we are moving inside from being outside. No real pattern to it. DavidBulluss wrote: > What if I am using only one LMS player feeding to both Z1 & Z2 of the > amp? Both zones are receiving the same signal simultaneously. I will > have a play with it all as suggested. > Okay. Now I understand what you're trying to do. First of all, let's assume that you are running with player volume fixed at 100%. Since, as you know, each LMS player can be assigned to only one zone in the plugin menu, my first question is "Which zone did you assign it to?". Whichever it is, when you are in that zone, you have full control of the player with your client app, including the AVR volume for that zone. When you are in the other zone, however, the volume must be controlled by that zone's remote or the front panel controls. So, from what you have said about your setup, I would think you have assigned the plugin to Zone 2, since it is far away from your AVR. When you are in the main zone, you can control all aspects of the player except the volume via the app, and control the volume via the AVR remote, just as with any other input source. That is probably how I would do it anyway. The only caveat is that you would have to power on the player, and thus Zone 2, in order to use the client app to control the player in the main zone. Of course, you could simply mute the player in the client app after turning it on, which would mute Zone 2, as long as you didn't try to use the client volume controls, which would unmute it. The bottom line is that you are trying to use the plugin in a way it was not designed to be used --- to control two different AVR zones with one player. Coincidentally, however, another plugin user made an enhancement request just yesterday to allow for this situation to be supported. The way it would be done is to allow for switching zones on the fly via the client app menu. So, in your scenario, if you were listening to music in Zone 2 and wanted to continue listening in the main zone, you would switch zones in the app. This would power on the main zone and switch the control to it, while optionally powering off the Zone 2 in the process. What are your feelings about that possibility? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: LMS Connect - streaming Tidal/Qobuz to LMS via native Android apps
Have been using LMS(Logitech Media Server) + Tidal/Qobuz plugins to stream Tidal/Qobuz, however, still prefer to use native Tidal/Qobuz apps to explore musics Inspired by the way how the android Kodi control apps streaming Youtube video to Kodi, developed this little android app which can stream Tidal/Qobuz to LMS via the native Tidal/Qobuz Android apps. Of course, this is not an official Tidal Connect or Qobuz Connect, but a diy workaround. In short , here is how it works: In the android Tidal/Qobuz app, find any track, album or playlist, share it to this LMS_Connect app, then the music will be streamed to LMS. Prerequisite: LMS with Tidal or Qobuz plugin(s) installed. An Android device (phone or tablet) with Native Tidal or Qobuz app(s) installed. The Android device and LMS server are in the same network. Installation and set up instruction: Note: this app doesnt require any permission and doesnt need your Tidal or Qobuz user info as they are all set up in LMS. 1.In your Android device, use a web browser to download and install the LMS_Connect app: (As other apps from "unknown source, some warnings will be shown during the installation) 2. Run the LMS_Connect app to set up your LUMS connection. Just fill in the LMS server ip address (ip address only, not host name) and leave other 2 values as is unless you know what to set. Then press Retrieve player data from server button, if everything goes right, all the LMS players should be listed. 3. Tap the player you want to stream the music to (still need to tap once even just have one player), then the header of the list view above should state the which player is chosen. 4. Then the app can be closed. 5. Open the Tidal or Qobuz app, find a track, an album or a playlist, then "share" to either "Play on LMS" or "Queue on LUMS". 34722347233472434721 +---+ |Filename: Screenshot_20210520-183149.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34724| +---+ RCST's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71755 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114611 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] improved cover/artist image handling for LMS
is a package to improve image handling for cover and artist pictures by replacing the bundled Image::Scale perl module. Interesting. So it will also be used by the scanner? I see that the user would need to replace a file installed by LMS, and would have to do so after any LMS update. Did you try to install it inside your plugins' folder structure instead? I thought those folders _might_ be prioritized. But I'm not 100%, tbh. But what you could do instead of replacing an existing file, you could put it inside the lib folder rather than CPAN. Haven't tried that yet. But it would be an addition rather than a replacement, which might survive updates. can use smart crop to generate square images (optionally with round corners) -general: attention-based area selection - for artists: face detection to select areas, can arrange faces in a square grid > > - can use' content-aware image resizing' That sounds interesting! ID is the MAC address as show in Material's information dialog. However, if there are no special characters in the name, then ID will have same issue, so don't bother. When I first started using MAI, it would download and store pics in my artist designated folder, and I could replace "wrong" pics by my own or edit, reframe/resize/center MAI's downloads. Then I moved LMS and my music library from my NAS to an Innuos server and added a few more albums, that's when I observed that newly downloaded pics by MAI were NOT available in my artist folder anymore (yet, if I put my own new pics in, they would supersede MAI's fetches after a library rescan).. not a big issue, more like a mystery to me. Anyway, should you want to totally control your pics, you just untick all boxes on the MAI settings page in order to disable donwloads, and work manually with the artist photo folder you've assigned in the MAI settings.
