Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content

2021-06-06 Thread Michael Herger

All works ok. But when using the feature “Browse on Spotify” inside an
Artist on my local Artist list, sometime finds the Spotify contents and
sometimes not. I think this is due to the artist name tag. The Artist
name must be written exactly as is in Spotify. Is there any way to solve
this?

Unfortunately I have to rely on text matching, unless you happen to have
an artist imported from Spotify already.

-If I use “Alan Parsons Project” as my Artist tag name “Browse on
Spotify” is empty. If I use “The Alan Parsons Project” it works ok.

I can probably tweak this to strip "the" and other well known from the
mapping. I actually thought I already did this - but probably do so in
other plugins where I'm facing similar issues.

-If I use “Bach” as my Artist tag name “Browse on Spotify” is empty.
If I use “Johann Sebastian Bach” it works ok.

Well, "smart" matching can only do a bit of guessing. "Bach" is just too
different from "Johann Sebastian Bach" to match without a lot of
context. I bet there are other artists called "bach".

Lyrics search has nothing to do with Spotty's ability to play a track.
They're two totally independent services. Playback usually would start
well before the lyrics lookup. _Except_ if you had a networking problem.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SendToSqueezebox Android app

2021-06-06 Thread MichaelPr

I know it's an old thread - and development stopped. But nevertheless, I
bought this App for a small fee at that time and still using it from
time to time since around 2016. From Victors Github repository I learned

available on GooglePlayStore anymore - I'm wondering if somebody
compiled it and using it:

I just got back to the App because it would be interesting to stream

I received an answer from Klassik Radio, which unfortunately is neither
informative nor pleasant...

Basic statement: Kassik Radio develops software for interfaces that are
important, such as Alexa. If there is time, they will be happy to deal
with LMS plugins in the future. To provide an account for development
within the community will be an option, and they will come back to this
offer if they are interested.

Summary from my point of view: Nothing will happen from the Klassik

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)

2021-06-06 Thread ModelCitizen

My YouTube plugin returns nothing at all. Every search/listing or
whatever produces a blank.

Checked my credentials, keys etc. All fine. Re-entered them just in
case. No joy

So I uninstalled the plugin and deleted my preferences. Reinstalled,
added back details. No joy

I deleted my Google OAuth Project and remade it, recreating the new
credentials. No joy. Still the same.

Now all I'm left with is I'm doing something really, really stupid.

Anyone any idea what it might be? My 8.1.1 server is on a dedicated
64bit Windows 10 machine. Everything else works as it should

BTW. The instructions for creating a new key and client ID are out of
date.

Thanks

This is why SDR offer flexibility for the future for radio broadcasting.

With mobile networks & internet, there are only a few commercial
situations to justify updating AM/FM networks to digital and then you
have user resistance. Many countries are shutting down DAB services,
keeping FM as range is worse than FM and internet (over 3G/4G/5G) gives
all the added features - higher quality services are offered over
internet - no need for two "broadcast" HD networks.

I expect they should appear as two ALSA devices. I think my tune

I have a modified pcp-stream script that selects the radio frequency of
the radioshark via the url and turns the blue LED on when the stream is
connected.

Code:

http://192.xxx.x.xxx:9101/*91.1*/S16_LE/44100/2/F

Copy the script to /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/rs-stream.sh and make sure it's
executable.

You need to run it on a different port from the user commands so it
doesn't conflict with the standard streamer. You can run the command
from an ssh session to test it.

The rs-stream.sh script automatically locates the radioshark device but
exits if it's not found.

Once it's working you can start if from the user commands on the tweaks
page of the webadmin.

Code:

/usr/local/bin/tcpserver -R 0 9101 /mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/rs-stream.sh

I'll try to build a 64bit version of the radioshark extension in the
coming days.

I also noticed that the pcp-streamer extension in pcp 7 is an older
version than what's in pcp 6, not sure how this keeps happening. I"ll
fix that too.

OK - that clarifies the differences and expectingtofly's response about
how to save the streams as Favorites provides a migration strategy.

The "Live Events" streams never seemed to be part of the BBC Radio but
rather Sports and possibly deliberately hard to find out what was on
what stream.

R4 LW, Scot MW are not in the imda feed and not in the mysqueezebox BBC

FWIW, even though the BBC Sounds API doesn't serve up BBC Scotland MW,
R4LW etc you can still play them through BBC Sounds LMS to get the
advantage of the meta data, rewind etc.:

You can do that by adding the BBC Web url (the plugin will automatically
translate) or the plugin specific Sounds:// url as a "tune in" url in
the default skin or add url in Material skin (then add them as
favourites) :

e.g. BBC Scotland MW :*
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_scotland_mw* or
*sounds://_LIVE_bbc_radio_scotland_mw*
BBC R4 LW : *
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_fourlw* or
*sounds://_LIVE_bbc_radio_fourlw*

I don't think you can do the same thing with the live events, I'm hoping
the BBC will add them to Sounds at some point.

I seem to have an occasional problem where some Spotify content doesn't
play in LMS but the native spotify app is fine. A case in point is the
tracks at the end of disk one of this album - Haydn's Creation 11 and

This is a LMS/plugin install issue on your system. Check your LMS and

No, the speed is governed by the CD drive.

those now listed in imda document.

This is a bit OT - entries are grouped by "" (red) - each station
is a "brand". Radio3 shown below.

Within a brand there are media type - DASH , HLS and Shoutcast (blue)

Withing a media type - there are streams (green). Each stream has
"*physical=*" which say UK or international and "*url=*" - the actual
URL for the stream. There is additional info on the stream such as
44100,bitrate etc.

I assume referring to the imda URL. Strange I use ffox and it opens OK.
It has XML content so FFox interprets the XML which means items can be

BBC Sounds only offers DASH streams as you can rewind live streams to
say start of programs or just a few minutes.

The BBC App for mysqueezebox.com should be kept up to date with the
international MP3 streams ( I haven't tested).

Most BBC stream live stream URLs can be found at link below. MP3
streams are: media type="shout"

IIRC it's aimed at 3rd party equip vendors but it is not always bang up
to date.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/imda/imda_transports.xml

Your URL is the international MP3 128kbps stream

This is the AAC 320kbps UK-only stream (I assume it still works - I
can't test as non UK)

Try running the command systemctl status ngrok.service to see what the
stated error is. You might have the wrong ngrok binary for that system.
I'd guess Raspberry Pi OS 32-bit should work for you.

cant intall it using your installer.
I am not really sure which OS to choose.

No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Raspbian
Description:Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Release:10
Codename: buster
[08:54:35] openhabian@openHABianDevice:~$ cd /home/
[08:56:27] openhabian@openHABianDevice:/home$ cd openhabian/
[08:56:34] openhabian@openHABianDevice:~$ ls
easyepgngrok_updater.sh setup.sh v0.3.8.zip
easyepg-0.3.8 README.txtsqueezelite
[08:56:36] openhabian@openHABianDevice:~$ sudo bash setup.sh
[sudo] password for openhabian:
--> Setting up ngrok to enable secure cloud access from smartskills.tech
Alexa skills
--> Fetching ngrok-stable-linux-arm64.tgz
--> Extracting ngrok from archive
--> Creating ngrok.yml in /home/openhabian/.ngrok2/ for tunnel
[lmstunnel]
--> Creating systemd service file
--> Fetching autoupdate script from smartskills.tech
--> Starting ngrok service and enabling autostart at boot
Job for ngrok.service failed because the control process exited with
error code.
See "systemctl status ngrok.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
--> Tidying up

Waiting for ngrok to initialise...
Sorry, ngrok failed to initialise within the allocated timeframe
