Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
I never figured out what the problem was, but it was solved by removing the plugin, deleting all the preference files associated with the plugin, and then reinstalling. All is well now. To update LMS, I have to go to the nightly page, copy the link for my distribution, open a terminal, wget that link, and then install that file. To update a plugin, I click on download and then restart. That I could do easily from my phone. Right now, I only see "Updates available", but I don't know if it's the type I can easily install from my phone. So I have to click and check by myself what kind of update it is. And I have to do that until I update LMS, otherwise, I never know if plugin updates are available, because it's the same icon. And then again, if a new nightly is available. If I'd enable "Update plugins automatically" within LMS, I wouldn't get two types of notifications that look the same, but also I wouldn't be notified of any updated plugins that need a restart. That's why I thought that two icons for two different updates might be helpful. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I appreciate the efforts on breathing more life into this platform, but wanted to mention an issue I noticed on both my Touch and Radio with this firmware. Basically, I bought a couple of digital albums on iTunes recently and when I listened to them on both devices, both devices had semi-random pops (almost like a loud vinyl crackle) in the audio during playback across the whole album. When I checked some of my older iTunes purchases, they all did similar things. iTunes files are all M4A - often around 256kbps. It doesn't seem like an LMS issue - when I play the same albums to a Sonos using iPeng and the DLNA plug-in, the album sounds fine. Same when listening on iPeng locally via my iPhone's speaker. All devices and LMS were restarted to see if it would fix the issue, but it didn't. This possibly started happening after installing the latest version, but can't confirm for sure. I don't listen to local music all that often these days, but I'm fairly certain that this isn't related to the Community Firmware in general - I believe the previous purchases have worked fine at some point on a previous Community Firmware version - I just can't say which version triggered it if that is true. Anyway, when I switched back to the official firmware (Radio 7.7.3, Touch 7.8.0), the problem went away on both devices. mbg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113479 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Maybe it's a silly suggestion, but what about making the green "Updates available" arrow background blue if the available update is for LMS (or the other way round) and maybe blue/green if there are updates for LMS and plugins available? That way it would be possible to see at a glance which kind of updates are available. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
I am back at an old installation and trying to get AirPlay Bridge to work with an old AirPlay speaker that is here. It used to work until an upgrade of AirPlay Bridge removed support for RPi0 ... and that is what this pCP is running on. So I thought I would take a look to see if I could work out why it was failing - given that the armv6hf plugin code is still there. Turns out that the problem (LMS crashing with "illegal instruction" is due to Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/RaopBridge/lib/5.32/arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int/auto/CryptX/CryptX.so so I removed it ... and now have AirPlay Bridge working on a PI0 and apparently happily since music is coming out of the old AirPlay device. I also had to do a chmod +x on the binaries in the plugin Bin directory - but I suspect that this was because the startup failed. So - perhaps that module is needed for more modern AirPlay devices and the loading of it could be avoided if running on ancient Pi - with a log message warning of the potential problem with communicating with some AirPlay devices. However, I think it might be loaded automatically by LMS because it is in a Bin directory of the plugin ... so to have the plugin load it itself may well be an issue. Next step is to see if a pCP backup and reboot results in it still working. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages
I need help. Iam stuck. One week ago i updated pearl on my Synology NAS (where my LMS runs). After the pearl installation LMS was not running anymore. I found out that the newest pearl doesnt work with LMS. So i downgraded pearl and after that i had to install a newer version of LMS (i cant remember why or even it was a good idea to have a newer version). The only version of LNS that i found for my Synology ds241+ was 8.0.0 But now my SB radio don't work with the LMS anymore. The version of it is 7.7.3-r16676. Now i need to upgrade to a newer version of the SB radio firmware but for this i need a plugin that's only available for LMS 8.0.1 and higher. But i cant find any source for LMS armadaxp higher than 8.0.0. Has anyone a source for 8.0.1 for armadaxp?
