Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Picoreplayer equaliser settings
Hey Paul, is there more information on what the module is doing, how it behaves and what happens when we push a button? I have made the experience that my DAC clips when I enable alsa 10 band equalizer without lowering the digital volume to 90%. But when I first made this experience, after some time it went away, as if something was automatically changed in the software equalizer or volume levels. Today I made another odd observation: I could not save the values that I wanted. After hitting save and reloading, they had changed slightly and in certain bands. This was at least the case when I did this while the player was also playing. It left the impression on me, again, that there is some internal behavior to the equalizer which I miss some documentation on. Maybe you can tell me where I will find details and what was happening. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng Playback + iPad + headphones
Hi, I use exactly this setup daily (IPeng + dongle dac). It's very good and you should try this. Few additional comments: - IPeng playback doesn't recompress anything (it's more of less bitperfect up to 96khz) and the player is quite good compared to other "audiophile" iOS music app - I found old iOS devices (my old iPhone 7) to struggle a bit with battery consumption. No problem on more recent devices (iPhone 12 and iPad) - IPeng EQ is very good if you're into that (Let's say you found a dedicated EQ calibrated for the specific headphone you're targeting) - If you have good internet and a VPN connection between your phone and your server (like WireGuard) it works quite well to stream your music on the go. I do this almost every day. - There's literally tons of "dongle dac" nowadays, some cheaper and some more expensive than Dragonfly. Some require specific USB camera adapter, some don't. If you're not sure yet and your headphone is easy enough to drive you should start without this. The headphone itself will define 90% of the sounds, a dac will later help you to reach the last 10% remaining. If your device runs on Linux you should be able to install Lirc. Not sure how easy it is in your specific setup to then control Squeezelite, but using Lirc you should be able to control anything (including volume of players) directly on LMS. Alternatively, some remotes with a USB dongle (don't know about the hifiberry one) emulate keypresses. If you can already control your device with a keyboard, using a remote that works like that might just be 'plug&play'. jeroen2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70418 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116007 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Is there an easy way to add favourites directly to a folder? The only option I can see is to add a favourite and then drag and drop into a folder. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Accuradio Plugin 1.0
Material attempts to map app and radio icons to more Google-material like recolourable monochrome icons. To make this easier, if an app's icon is named XXX_svg.png then Material will look for an SVG named XXX.svg in the same folder as the PNG icon. The attached tarball rename's Accuradio's icon to accuradio_svg.jpg, updates install.xml, and adds (my attempt at) a monochrome accuradio.svg icon. This will allow all other UIs to continue to use the bitmap icon, but Material will (eventually*) use the SVG icon. Can you please use this tarball to update the plugin? (I say eventually, as I never thought apps would use JPG for logos, so Material needs to be updated to map XXX_svg.jpg as well as XXX_svg.png - will fix this in Material 2.9.2) 37284 +---+ |Filename: Accuradio.zip| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37284| +---+ *Material debug:* 1. Any conventions for naming the additional artwork so that they appear in the 'right' order? - inner.jpg before rear.jpg? Files are listed in alphanumerical order (1 -> a -> z) ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Multi artist Compilations are a problem for most media systems wrt artwork and artist info. I'm starting to think that they are not worth preserving as an 'album' instead just store them as singles or tracks from an album that is not completely owned. Then a playlist to hold them together if needed...a whole discussion on its own > > Tip. Use at least 600x600 images. AlbumArtExchange.com is a great source > of high quality cover art. I have an account, but also find a lot of good artwork content at musicbrainz where i also help a little cleanup metadata dpr99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72594 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
